Here are some symptoms and causes of PCOS

Today we are here to discuss the most burning topic PCOS.

PCOS is the most common hormonal cause of female infertility. When a woman has PCOS she ultimately has the hormonal dysfunction which doesn't allow her ovaries to fully mature an egg. It's not that a woman with PCOS cannot become pregnant, it just takes longer. the majority of women with PCOS just can get pregnant naturally if they have a proper protocol or if they meet a health practitioner who is a best practitioner with the hormonal balances. Don't think that you are out of luck if just because you have got a diagnosis of PCOS.

The most common symptoms of which may be associated with PCOS are male pattern baldness, irregular or absent menstrual cycles or you can have a apple shaped body or you can have a male pattern baldness or you can have acne problem or you can have anxiety or depression or you can be struggling with your weight gain. So you don't need to be overweight to be diagnosed with PCOS. Just now discuss about the treatment part you have to practice regular exercise, practice stress management, try and lose weight. You need to bump up the antioxidants in your diet and follow the hormonal protocols. If you need to and also get your sugar levels tested just do remember that don't run after getting these goals overnight because that will be a stressful process and it will be counterproductive.

If you are suffering from such symptoms or you are struggling with your fertility issues you can visit your nearest gynecologist or you can visit me at my lybrate account at lybrate.com. You can chat with me, text me or video call me or you can visit me at my clinic at Goyal Medical Center at Vasant Vihar.

Mai diabetic hu fasting mai 180 rehta hai after meal 280. Medicine glynase mf le rha hu but koi fayda nahi kya karu.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
It is not as easy task to control blood sugar in the desired normal range. Whatever we eat is metabolized to sugar in the body to provide energy for our daily activities. For the absolute control, one has to monitor his / her blood sugar at regular intervals (self-monitoring of blood glucose? smbg). Though difficult, this can be done by a glucometer and keep a record. Get an idea of fasting sugar (fbs) and 2 hours after food (ppbs) and check before dinner and after every major food. The basic idea is to reduce the food intake to 1/3 of what you take now. The dictum of sugar control is diet, exercise, diet + medicine and at later stage medicine+ insulin will be needed. For sugar control there is the need for regular advice and follow up. Just one time consultation or advice is not enough to guide a diabetic in scientifically & medically correct manner. For giving you regular follow up you ask me privately with all details like your daily eating pattern and medicines you take. I assure you a proper guidance. If you keep in touch.

Joint pain problems in knees, backpain, am suffering from diabetes from last three month's, also from hypertension,

BHMS
Homeopath,
Joint pain problems in knees, backpain, am suffering from diabetes from last three month's, also from hypertension,
Dear lybrate user, one of the major nutritional substance required for human body is carbohydrate. We take carbohydrate in the form of rice, wheat, sugar etc. The complex molecules of carbohydrate are broken down into simple glucose molecules during digestion & released in the blood stream to be absorbed by the muscle cells. Muscle cells utilise the glucose molecules to release energy by breaking down those glucose molecules. Insulin hormone plays a vital role in the absorption of the glucose molecules by the muscle cells. In abnormal conditions, either due to less production of insulin or due to resistance to insulin, the process of absorption of glucose by the muscles comes to a stand still. The glucose molecules remains in the bloodstream which results in the increase in the blood sugar level. The failure of utilisation of the glucose molecules by the muscle cells results in production of less energy than normal condition. This is externally manifested as the fatigue & tiredness of the patient. This excess amount of blood sugar compels the kidney to function more than normal level in order to excrete the blood sugar molecules through urine. As a result the patient suffers from frequent urination. This abnormal condition is clinically known as diabetes mellitus. Once a patient is diagnosed with diabetes he has to take regular medicine to keep his blood sugar level within normal limits. Take homoeopathic mother tincture gymnema sylvestra q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water. Also you need to walk at least 1 hour daily without any interval. Also you need to take a low carbohydrate rich diet. Avoid rice, sweet dishes, fruits, cold drinks, fast foods, alcoholic beverages, potato etc.

Diabetic patent who is under medication and sugar level is in limits, can use HONEY?

Diabetic patent who is under medication and sugar level is in limits, can use HONEY?
Mr. Lybrate-user, well, if blood sugar levels are in strict control with fasting closer to 100 mg, pp 150 to 160 mg, hba1c%<7, then one may consider taking a spoonful a day. But honey is simply another form of cane sugar, with 50 % fructose & 50% glucose, plus some vitamins and antioxidants. It is bound to increase blood sugar levels almost immediately. Thanks for the question.

lybrate-user, If you have really good & consistent blood glucose control then you may be able to manage with less number of tests a day. However, if glucose levels are bad then more tests are required to adjust the dose of Insulin. Since, no levels are mentioned and no mention is made of HbA1c% it is difficult to give exact advice. Thanks.

What's are sign/symptoms of thyroids? I have thyroid more than 100, having lots of hair fall, how to prevent hair fall?
Hello it is sign of thyroid disorder to get hair fall, dry skin, weight gain or loss, irritability etc. So, first of all, it's important to control your thyroid illness. Investigate your thyroid level first (serum tsh, t3, t4) first. Also go for other blood test like complete blood count etc. It's better to consult a dermatologist in person to start treatment for hair fall along with thyroid treatment.

first thing is to take thyroxine tablets in the prescribed dosage every day with out fail. Then exercise regularly so that weight is maintained. Avoid soya containing foods, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, mustard and coffee. Use whole grain flour for making breads (rotis), take good amount of green vegetables (other than those mentioned), fruits, onions and garlic. If your hemoglobin is normal and your monthly cycles are normal then there should not be any difficulty in having a baby. Consult your gynecologist.
