Flaunting a fair and flawless complexion is everyone? s dream. There are many ready made fairness creams that can lighten your complexion instantly. However, if you want healthy, fair and glowing skin, then you need to work hard and have patience? follow the ctm (cleansing, toning and moisturizing) routine daily? exfoliate your skin at least twice a week. This will help to remove the dead cells and open pores, thus lightening your skin tone? always use sunscreen 20 minutes before stepping out from home. A good sunscreen with spf 40 will help to prevent tan in the Indian climate? drink adequate amount of water to keep your body and skin hydrated. A good sleep at night is also very important for healthy and glowing skin. Indulge in home remedies like face packs and scrub for natural fairness fruit pack: fruits can work wonders for your skin and also provide you with naturally glowing skin. Prepare a fruit pack by combining the pulp of an avocado, papaya and cucumber. Then add 2 teaspoons of cream or malai. Mix well to form a paste and apply all over the face. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water. People with oily or combination skin can avoid adding cream, they can add multani mitti instead into the pack papaya: papaya fruit contains an enzyme called papain that helps to exfoliate the skin, and this makes way for new skin cells to emerge. Papaya also contains vitamin c. Choose a green papaya to make your face mask, papain is most concentrated in a green papaya. To make a papaya mask? peel and slice the papaya? put it in a blender to make a smooth paste? apply it on your skin and leave it for 20 minutes? rinse it away with warm water. Any queries inform me.

I just want to know how I protect my skin in summer? What kind of diet needed in these days? Please help me out.

1.Avoid sun exposure between 10 a. M. And 4 p. M. The sun's rays are strongest during these hours, so try to schedule outdoor activities for other times. If you're unable to do that, limit the length of time you're in the sun. Seek shade when possible. 2.Cover up. Wear tightly woven clothing that covers you, including your arms and legs. Consider wearing clothing or outdoor gear specially designed to provide sun protection. Also wear a broad-brimmed hat, which protects you better than a baseball cap or golf visor does. 3.Use sunscreen frequently and generously. No matter what your skin type is, use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or greater. Apply sunscreen generously, and reapply it every two hours — or more often if you're swimming or perspiring. 4.Wear sunglasses when outdoors. You offer your eyes the best protection outdoors by choosing the highest UV protection-rated sunglasses. Darker lenses are not necessarily better at blocking UV rays. Check the UV rating on the label when buying new glasses. 5.Consume more Vitamin D. While the sun helps us to manufacture vitamin D, consuming vitamin D rich foods like fermented cod liver oil and/or supplementing with quality source of oral vitamin D3 can in turn help to protect us from the UV radiation of the sun. 6.Balance your mineral intake. Deficiencies in certain minerals such as zinc and magnesium can cause photosensitivity and sun rashes. Be sure to have your mineral status checked and consume mineral rich foods from both plant and animal sources.

Tips for Oily Skin : -

Use a gentle facial cleanser twice a day. Most dermatologists agree that cleansing the skin is the best way to reduce oil.[1] Make sure to use a gentle, pH balanced cleanser rather than regular soap. Most soaps are highly alkaline and strip the natural acid mantle from the skin leaving it vulnerable to bacteria.

• Products containing benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, or beta-hydroxy acid are often considered best. These are slightly acidic, however, so start off with only a small amount to make sure your skin doesn't have an adverse reaction.

• When washing your face, make sure you use warm water, not hot. Hot water can further irritate the skin.[2]

• Use a toner free of alcohol or acetone. Place a few drops on a clean, natural cotton pad and wipe it gently over the affected area. Toners can be harsh on skin, so dermatologists often recommend only using them on oily parts of your face rather than the whole face.[3]
Moisturize your skin. While it may seem counterproductive, oil and moisture are two different things. Even oily skin can be dehydrated and requires moisturizer to stay healthy. Make sure to use a light, oil-free moisturizer.[4]
Use blotting papers. This is a quick, effective solution to soak up excess oil. They won't cut down on your skin's oil production though, so this treatment should be paired with a cleansing regimen for the best results.

• Make sure you don't rub your skin with blotting papers. This can spread dirt and cause irritation. Instead, just gently press the paper down on your skin and hold it there for 15 to 20 seconds.[5]

Use a clay mask. Masks help draw out dirt and oil, keeping pores clean. These products can also dry out the skin, however, so make sure you don't overuse them. Once a week should be the maximum usage.[6]

Apply an oil-free, mineral powder makeup base for the daytime. Use powder blush rather than cream blush and powder eye shadows rather than cream eye shadows. A dusting of a translucent powder can be applied two or three times during the day after blotting the face with a tissue to remove any excess oil.

I have many scars on my body ,caused by white watery blisters of chicken pox. The scars, little bit, bulge out of the skin and are fairer in colour. After eight years also, they are as they were. Also, whenever I get hurt or boils or rashes, they always leaves some black scar on the skin. Can this scars be treated? And is it common or I have any skin problem or I have different kind of skin? Because, no one in my family has this types of scars, leaved after chicken pox.

Alcohol dehydrates the skin
Alcohol dehydrates the skin, depleting it of moisture. It can also cause broken or distended capillaries on the nose and face.
