Hello lybrate user, looking at your height and weight ratio of course you are underweight. - thing you have to do is to increase the appetite and absorption level - for that you need to do some brisk walk and complete nutritional diet. - take fresh ginger juice 5ml with pinch of salt before food daily twice - always consume freshly prepared home food - take kooshmanda rasayana 1spoon with milk daily twice do it for 30 days. apply knee splint. take rest apply ice packs two three times a day for 10mins. if still painful, get MRI scan done.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to have persistent knee pain. If there is no history of any injury to the affected knee and there are no s/s of either inflammation or infection like swelling, skin redness, local warmth etc, my advice will be: - to start with intensive physical therapy - gentle anti inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or tab paracetamol whichever suits you - adequate calcium and vitamin d intake - activity modification as in to stop physical activities which increases pain till you feel better let me know in 2-3 weeks time how you are feeling otherwise we will get some x rays and blood tests for you. Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily – Lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana? Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Advice. Regular stretching of shoulder muscles. Warm up and cool down is a must. Hot fomentation. Use cervical pillow.

I'm working as sales officer in Tw loan department. Where I suppose to set in showroom where I has to approach customers to take bike for loan. I had to do back office work like filling loan application form and all agreements and get it ready and finally I have to go to branch for file disbursement I prefer going branch by walking hence it might cause me leg and back pain. And while going home I prefer bus I always stuck in traffic in sakinaka. Because of that my leg and back pain start paining more. Whn I reach home I became were dull I don't have any energy so how can I get energy and relief from leg and back pain please suggest me as soon as possible. Consider my age to I m just 23years old.

HI Lybrate USER…. 1) avoid oily, spicy, junk, fermented and stale foods…. 2) avoid late night sleeping habits …sleep upto 10-10.30 pm…. 3) avoid coffee and tea…. A) take 2 tsf of SHATAVARI KALP with 250 ml of lukewarm water, in the morning instead of break fast…B) take 60 ml of triphala juice along with 15 ml of honey and 1-1 tablet of VASANTKUSUMAKAR RASA and MOUTIKYUKTA KAMDUDHA VATI at night before sleep…. C) take 10 gm of FENNEL SEEDS along with 10 gm jiggery after meals…D) eat 4-5 seeds of ALMONDS during meals…do all these things for 30 days…it gives you good result…. My wife age is24 she got a baby by scissors about a 1 & half years ago from that time she was suffering from leg paining and lots of weakness. 12 Tips to Manage Back Pain

Back pain is a common health problem that affects most people at some point in their life. It may be triggered by bad posture while sitting or standing, bending awkwardly, or lifting heavy objects incorrectly

Common causes:

Muscle spasms and strains

Disc problems: a sudden back movement may cause the disc to bulge or rupture completely. This causes pain in the back or along the course of the nerve that has been pressed-usually the buttocks, leg or foot.

Osteoarthritis and osteoporosis are ( Above> 50 years)

Ankylosing spondylitis: this is a type of arthritis that affects the spine. It occurs mostly in young men. It causes back pain, stiff back and difficulty in bending

Tips to manage Back pain

When you have back pain, use ice or heat. Ice is best in the first 24 to 48 hours after an injury because it reduces inflammation. After 48 hours, you can switch to heat .
Whether you use heat or ice — take it off after about 20 minutes to give your skin a rest.
It is important to keep moving as much as possible. You may require bed rest when the pain in acute, but prolonged bed rest is not helpful.
Exercise regularly to strengthen the abdominal muscles that work with back muscles to stabilize the spine
Always consult a professional trainer before starting a workout regimen
Improve your posture. Keep your spine straight while sitting and standing. Avoid slouching
If you have a desk job, get up every 20 minutes or so and stretch backwards
Design your workplace so you don’t have to hunch forward to see your computer monitor or reach way out for your mouse
Use a desk chair that supports your lower back and allows you to keep your feet planted firmly on the floor
When driving, adjust your car set and steering wheel to a correct height and distance
Be especially careful of your posture when lifting heavy objects. Never bend over from the waist Instead, bend and straighten from the knees

If your pain does not improve, consult a doctor. Your doctor may prescribe anti-inflammatory medicines for a few days till the acute stage is over
