I have white pimples on my face and l use so many creams but did not see any changes so what I do.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Dear Lybrate User, *Avoid more salty, dry, maida related junk foods, more tea, coffee. *Consume more fresh fruit juice. *Practice yoga, meditation, breathing exercise. *if all else fails then this can be your backup plan. There is a huge variety of anti-acne products- face washes, creams, face packs etc. Available in the market these days. Search a little, find a product that will best suit your skin type and give it a try. If still your pimples are unlikely to go away then don’t hesitate from going to a dermatologist.

I am suffering the itching in the genital area from least one week can you suggest what can I do.

MBBS, MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy
Dermatologist, Amritsar
Hello, you are most probably suffering from a fungal infection. Remember to wear loose cotton clothing specially when at home. Avoid hot humid climate, keep the affected area dry and avoid synthetic innerwear. Do not use any over-the-counter medication over this area as it may be containing certain ingredients which may the increase the problem. Proper oral and topical medicine for 1-2 months will completely cure you of this disease. If any other family members are affected, they must also be adequately treated to prevent recurrence, you can send me a picture of the affected area for treatment.

My sister is suffering from hair fall problem since 6 months. What r the reasons for hair fall problem?

BHMS
Homeopath, Sindhudurg
It is normal to lose about 30-80 strands of hair in a day. The common reasons behind hair fall are lack of essential nutrients in the body, improper and unhealthy dietary habits, hormonal imbalance, certain medications, dandruff, alopecia and other scalp disorders, stress and tension etc. Natural oils such as coconut, olive, jojoba, almond etc. Can be used to massage the scalp for countering hair fall. Gently massage the scalp prior to head bath twice a week. Also check hemoglobin for anaemia and thyroid status with serum tsh. Have more proteins and trace minerals like copper, zinc, selenium in diet. Start taking a hair nutrition supplement. Keep stress away with regular exercise, yoga, meditation. Get the underlying scalp condition like dandruff treated.

How can I done my hairs black from white nd how can I grow early my moustaches hair.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda, Bundi
Short cut to turn hairs' color is hair color but it's not good at young age. Then you ll always depend on it through out life. To change it naturally you will need certain food modifications (simple) and use of oral herbomineral medicines for few months, use of scalp applications and some yoga, pranayam etc. I assure you if you stick to directions, you will see changing hair follicles to dark colors soon.

You need to be practical and know your own body. It's said one mans food is another mans poison. That because each person is unique. So if some thing does not suit you just avoid it! as much as possible try to eat natural food (avoid highly refined /junk / heavily fried food/and foods with preservatives in your daily diet. Have whole grains and unpolished pulses. Eat healthy and be healthy. Eat more of fruits and vegetables and also nuts which will give good nourishment and increase your immune system. Add to that 30- 40 mins of exercise daily. Avoid all kinds of stimulants - alcohol, tobacco etc because they are not essential for healthy living but may interfere with your health in the long run. The choice is always yours! choose health and fitness which requires lot self discipline but the benefits are also equally worthy. Regarding bathing cold water is more energising! but it's a choice. Those who dislike cold water bath can take warm water bath. Very hot water is not advisable.

Water melon juice: Prepare watermelon juice in a juicer which does not separate the pulp but converts it into semi liquid so that it can be taken as a part of juice. Cut some watermelon in small pieces of less than half inch. Mix with juice. Have some mint leaves, duly washed and cut. Pour the juice in glasses and garnish with mint leaves. Serve chilled. This delicious juice is a mine full of antioxidants, nutrients and fiber. If desired, one can also add some lemon juice and salt.

I have thin skin under eyes and a few wrinkles. I use tretinoin 25 for face. Can I use it for around eyes and start it slowly like 2 times a week to suit it along with a moisturizer.

MBBS,DDV, DDVL
Dermatologist,
Hi, lybrate-user I guess it's not Good idea use such cream for undereye skin as it's very thin and sensitive. Should use antiaging or rejuvenating creams like AVARTA SPF by Dr. Reddy's daily twice for 3-6 months will definitely help in your condition.

I am 21 years old men. I have not sufficient beard and mustache. There is a little hair in my chins .any medicine for grew the beard .what can I do? Am very disappointed about this problem please help me.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello. Start immediately with homoeopathic medication - sulphur 200/ one dose daily in the morning for a week and 10 drops of arnica montana q in 1/2 cup of water and apply on the face on the beard and the mustache area with a cotton swab. Then use the razor. Repeat the above process every 3rd day for few months. There are certain nutrients that you can add to your daily routine that can help encourage faster, more effective hair growth. Promote thicker hair with folic acid. This is necessary for the growth and repair of hair, take follihair/ 1 tablet daily for 3 months. You can also try increasing the amount of folic acid in your diet. Folic acid can be found in whole-grain breads and cereals, leafy green vegetables, peas, and nuts. Increase your biotin intake. Biotin is an important water-soluble b vitamin, necessary for the the formation of fatty acids and glucose, as well as for metabolizing amino acids and carbohydrates. A biotin deficiency can lead to hair loss, so making sure you are getting the recommended amount is well worth the effort. Biotin is found in liver, oysters, cauliflower, beans, fish, carrots, bananas, soy flour, egg yolks, cereals, yeast, and other foods. Management: -exfoliate your face. Hair follicles can become blocked with dirt and prevent your hair from growing. Once a week, wear an exfoliant mask with eucalyptus. It's great for your skin, and can help promote hair growth. -massage your hair follicles. A gentle massage can help stimulate your hair follicles. Use your finger tips, and gently massage your face in circular motions for about two to three minutes. Try applying a facial moisturizer to create a smoother massage. -take in vitamin a. This vitamin stimulates the production of sebum, which keeps your hair follicles and skin hydrated. You can find vitamin a in eggs, meat, cheese, liver, carrots, pumpkin, broccoli, and dark green leafy vegetables. -get plenty of vitamin e, which has long been recognized as key for healthy skin, and can increase blood flow, which leads to an optimal environment for hair growth. Foods rich in vitamin e include oils, leafy vegetables, nuts, and beans, and most people get plenty of vitamin e when eating a normal diet. -boost circulation with vitamin b3. Healthy circulation may have a positive effect on hair growth. Reports find that b3 is even more effective when taken with biotin. -take in vitamin b5. This is also known as pantothenic acid. It not only helps the body use fats and proteins, necessary for healthy hair, it also has been reported to help reduce stress; and stress can definitely inhibit hair growth. Vitamin b5 occurs naturally in brewer's yeast, broccoli, avocado, egg yolks, organ meats, duck, milk, lobster, whole-grain breads, and more.
