Hi, whether you have early-stage kidney disease or you're on dialysis, you'll likely be advised to limit your phosphorus intake. Nearly every food contains some phosphorus. The best way to limit phosphorus in your diet is to limit foods highest in phosphorus, including fast food, convenience foods and processed foods, which may be full of phosphorus additives. Foods rich in phosphorus: milk, pudding, yogurt, soy milk, nondairy creamers and enriched rice milk, processed cheeses and cheese spreads, ice cream or frozen yogurt, soups made with higher phosphorus ingredients (milk, dried peas, beans, lentils), whole grains, including whole-grain breads, crackers, cereal, rice and pasta, quick breads, biscuits, cornbread, muffins, pancakes or waffles, dried peas (split, black-eyed), beans (black, garbanzo, lima, kidney, navy, pinto) or lentils, processed meats, such as bologna, ham and hot dogs, and meat, poultry or seafood, nuts and seeds, peanut butter and other nut butters, chocolate, including chocolate drinks, colas and pepper-type sodas, some flavored waters, bottled teas, some drink mixes. **********but as your uric acid is slightly high, you should also avoid high protein diet, so consult a nutritionist******

Dear . As per most guidelines a fasting blood sugar of less than 140mg/dl is desired. However I would not panic on one reading above 140. What is your latest hba1c levels? is the ankle pain less than 4 weeks? in that case the ankle pain can be due to any of the three conditions- trauma -infectious arthritis or gout.

lybrate-user, Looking at your weight and height, your BMI is 22.98 kgs/M2, which absolutely fine. However, if belly fat is there, that can be reduced by aerobic exercise and abdominal exercise and also by swimming. There is no mention about blood glucose levels or HbA1c%, so I have no idea about how well is diabetes controlled. As regards treatment of RA affecting the diabetes, it depends on what drugs are being given. Thanks.

There are many lifestyle and dietary guidelines that can be followed to protect against future flares or prevent gout or uric acid problems from occurring in the first instance: maintain a high fluid intake (2-4 liters a day) avoid alcohol eat a balanced diet limit fish, meat and poultry intake. If attempting to lose weight, avoid low-carbohydrate diets. If carbohydrate intake is insufficient, the body is unable to burn its own fat properly, releasing substances called ketones into the bloodstream. This results in a condition called ketosis that can increase the level of uric acid in the blood. It is most important to avoid foods that are high in purines, to ensure that the levels of uric acid in the blood do not get too high. Here is a list of high-purine foods to be wary of: beef kidneys brains dried beans and peas liver mackerel yeast fermented products (breads etc) mushrooms lose some weight by walking or other exercise, avoid meats and get always be on a prescribed diet as prescribed by a registered dietitian. I am a registered dietitian, certified diabetes educator and a doctor, consult privately for detailed treatment plans using diet and medications.

Dear. Adolescent minds are always lazy and wandering. This happens because of their hormonal imbalance. They need constant motivation and appreciation. Parents cannot give the motivation because adolescent people do not accept such motivation. You can learn to appreciate your son even in small positive tasks. Motivation should be given by psychologists like me. You may consult a psychologist online. Take care.
