Chubby cheeks doesn’t means adding up fat on face. You can achieve them by following some simple natural methods, exercises and home remedies. You are what you eat! Most of our food items contains vitamins, minerals and antioxidants for the betterment of our body as well as making your cheeks healthy. If you are looking to get fuller cheeks naturally, it is important that you consume proper amount of healthy foods to add fats for your cheeks like oats, cheese, nuts, seeds. Wonderful and attractive chubby cheeks can also be achieved by consuming food supplements available in the market. Food supplements containing enough quantity of calories which helps in gaining weight. Drinking water can be considered as one of the simplest tip you can follow for getting chubby cheeks. You should drink at least 8 glasses of water each day to keep your body and cheeks on hydrated mode. Eating fruits and vegetables is also a smart and cheaper way for getting chubby cheeks. Facial Yoga is one of the best exercise you can do to form chubby cheeks by getting rid of flat skin. Proper yoga will make the skin to produce both collagen and elastin, both of them will make the skin more firm and help to plump up and shed off flat cheeks. * Intake of olive oil to your food and this will make your cheeks even brighter and active. * Make sure you limit the consumption of food which is rich in turmeric powder. * Consume food items like pista, badam and cashew nut on a daily basis. * Drink enough amount of water a day, this will help to keep your body hydrated. * Apply sunscreen lotions while going out to protect the skin from harmful UV rays.

5 Common Causes of Hip Pain in Women

MD, FIPP

5 Common Causes of Hip Pain in Women

Your hip plays a very crucial role in the proper functioning of your body. It bears the weight of the entire upper body and also supports your back to maintain balance. The hip joint is a ball and socket joint that connects the pelvic region to the thighs. Some sort of injury on the hip joint/bones or a disease can cause pain in the hips. Also, women are more likely to suffer pain in the hips than men.

Here are some common causative factors of hip pain in women:

1. Arthritis - One of the most common causes of hip pain in women is Arthritis. As women grow older, the risk of suffering from arthritis increases. The ball and socket joint of the hip gradually degenerates with age. This wear and tear of the joint causes swelling and stiffness which results in pain.

2. Obesity - Excessive body weight results in excessive pressure on the hip joint. Due to the development of excessive pressure on the joint, an obese/overweight woman may experience pain on the hip joint.

3. Osteoporosis - Mostly found in older women, osteoporosis is a condition in which the density of the bones reduces. As a result of which, the hip joint becomes weak and is unable to withstand the weight of the entire upper body and gives rise to extreme pain.

4. Bursitis - A sac-like structure cushioning the muscles and bones around the hip joints, filled with some sort of fluid is known as bursae. The inflammation of bursae is a condition called bursitis, which results in extreme pain in the hip joint.

5. Gynecological issues - Pregnancy leads to excessive pressure on the hip joint due to weight gain and growth of the lining of the uterus, resulting in pelvic tenderness. Both of these factors induce a feeling of pain in the hip joint in a pregnant woman.

Weight gain is muscle gain and not fat gain. In your condition your energy requirement is very high so whatever you eat is used as a source of energy and you do not make muscle. To gain muscles you will have to eat at least 6 meals (high calorie) in a day at a regular interval with a proper ratio of proteins and carbohydrates. Proteins will help you gain body mass while carbohydrates will help you give energy. Protein foods are eggs, fish, chicken, milk and milk products, meat and dals. Carbohydrate foods are roti and rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes. You have to eat vegetables and fuits and use healthy and good fats for cooking like ghee, cold pressed mustrad or til oil. You will also have to do some weight training exercise to help you build mass into the body. Also drink enough water to keep you hydrated.

I always remain nervous.Over the years my confidence has come down drastically .I am currently 36 yrs of age .Have consulted psychiatrist as well but no positive results.Everyday i go to office with a fear in mind that my boss will scold or shout at me .Such types of unknown fear keeps coming in my mind.I have anxiety problems.Due to that i have bp problem as well .Pls suggest me something how can i overcome this problem as i have loads of responsibilities on my head.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
The loads of responsibility do not augur well for someone with anxiety disorders. You have been stressed for years and that is taking its toll and may only worsen. You must learn to delegate work responsibilities and organize yourself well. Under stress the mind is very suggestive and it does so by proposing all the worst case scenarios, every time. That accounts for your BP. What you have not done so far is to seek help via counseling. This is extremely important and could have helped you recover a long time ago. It is still not too late. Also you need to do some vigorous exercise, as permitted by your doctor. Exercise makes the heart grow larger and a large heart pumps more blood to all extremities and it pumps it more efficiently, with fewer beats. Under those conditions, your response to fear will be far superior to the normal population who do not exercise. Also you need to train the brain through Yoga and meditation to remain calm, and to handle situations with a lot of composure. You could learn some stress management skills too. Do not take too much of responsibility and if it is already too much, reach out to your boss who will gladly help out. All these measures will increase your confidence and composure. Eat well, sleep well and handle your emotions, especially fear well, with the help of a counselor. Things will brighten up and stress will become a distant dream.

I am suffering with hairloss from crown area for 3 years. Now my scalp is clearly visible. How can I judge its cause ...
1. Use mild shampoo to wash hair (you can make your own shampoo using reetha and shikakai at home) 2. Stop using conditioners. Use natural conditioners like egg, yougurt and lemon. 3. Massage your scalp with a mix of oils like olive, coconut, sesame, castor oil at night. 4. Apply raw amla juice on hair thrice a week. 5. Rub your scalp with the juice of white onion. 6. Use a paste of bhringraj on hair. 6. You can use some good hair packs like - fenugreek and yogurt, egg and green tea. 7. You can rinse your hair with organic apple cider vinegar after washing your hair to maintain ph balance of your hair. 8. Hair health depends on the amount of protein in your diet. Foods like chicken, eggs, fish, nuts, dry fruits gives you the required nutrients to keep your skin and hair healthy. So consume plenty of them. Eat things rich in vitamin c like amla and oranges. 10. Drink lots of water to flush out toxins from the body.
