-you need a regular checkup if you have any deficiency that is causing hair whitening at this age. -check for b12, copper, iron, iodine in the body. -take protein rich diet, green leafy veggies, omega3, fatty acids. -oil and massage your scalp with castor oil (warm) 2-3 times a week and keep for a few hrs (1-8 hrs) if the problem is genetic, you will need a treatment like vaccines for the same.

Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. In order to stop the formation of pimples the aforesaid four causes should be terminated. Now the bitter truth is neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you whenever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifolium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.

Dear Lybrate User, **Cleansing shall be one of the most important steps of your skin care routine. Even if you are not having an acne problem washing the face twice a day helps in removing dirt, oil and dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. Less oil and dirt also means less acne. While washing your face never apply soap and always use a mild face cleanser. Also wash the face only with warm or cold water as using hot water can cause pimples **Ice soothes the skin, particularly the affected area which can help your skin to become pimple-free. Applying ice on the skin will remove the oil and dirt trapped inside and reduces the redness and swelling. To get rid of an eruption, put an ice cube in a cloth and gently press it against the affected skin. Or one can also make it a routine to apply crushed ice or ice cubes to the skin in order to avoid pimples.

You have to take healthy food avoid liver toxic foods like alcohol and for liver and avoid contaminated food for intestines and take light non spicy non fatty food . With healthy life style sperm production will be normal.Your brain is like a muscle. You need to exercise it regularly. The exciting thing is that you don’t have to be a millionaire to increase your brain capacity. All you need to do is invest a little time to regularly train your brain. So what can you do? Here are 10 simple ways you can increase your brain power and improve your intelligence! 1. Do something new When you experience something ‘new’ you actually ‘stimulate’ your brain! Don’t get stuck in a rut doing the same old things – the only way to change the structure of your brain is to do something new. This creates new neural pathways, increasing your intelligence. You could take a new route to work, try a new recipe for dinner, or even a new form of exercise – mix it up! 2. Exercise regularly It’s been proven that regular exercise helps to increase brain function and enhances neurogenesis. This means that every time you exercise you are creating new brain cells! Get off the couch and get moving! Your brain will thank you for it :) 3. Train your memory How often do you hear people say “I wish I had a better memory!’ Yet no-one does anything about this! Reading is a great way to trigger your imagination! 8. Get enough sleep Sleep is like a mini detox for the brain. This is when your body regenerates cells and removes all the toxins that have built up during the day. Get to bed between the hours of 9pm and midnight to benefit from the most effective hours of sleep! 9. Ditch the GPS Gone are the days of map reading! Sat Nav may have made our lives easier, it has also made our brains lazier and less efficient at the same time! Go back to the old school and use a map to navigate every now and then (this exercises the part of your brain responsible for understanding spatial relationships). 10. Ban the calculator Remember back at school when we were taught to use our brains to do simple sums like times tables?! It’s incredible how we now rely on devices like smart-phones and laptops to calculate really simple equations. Resist the urge to work things out using an external device – and use the device you were born with – your brain!

Hi. One should take at least 10-12 glasses of water in a day (which may vary as per season or climate). Hello. Kidney stones often have no definite, single cause, although several factors may increase your risk.Kidney stones form when your urine contains more crystal-forming substances — such as calcium, oxalate and uric acid — than the fluid in your urine can dilute. At the same time, your urine may lack substances that prevent crystals from sticking together, creating an ideal environment for kidney stones to form. -Most kidney stones are calcium stones, usually in the form of calcium oxalate. Oxalate is a naturally occurring substance found in food. Some fruits and vegetables, as well as nuts and chocolate, have high oxalate levels. Your liver also produces oxalate. Dietary factors, high doses of vitamin D, intestinal bypass surgery and several metabolic disorders can increase the concentration of calcium or oxalate in urine. Calcium stones may also occur in the form of calcium phosphate. -Struvite stones form in response to an infection, such as a urinary tract infection. These stones can grow quickly and become quite large, sometimes with few symptoms or little warning. -Uric acid stones can form in people who don't drink enough fluids or who lose too much fluid, those who eat a high-protein diet, and those who have gout. Certain genetic factors also may increase your risk of uric acid stones. -Cystine form in people with a hereditary disorder that causes the kidneys to excrete too much of certain amino acids (cystinuria). -Other, rarer types of kidney stones also can occur. Medication: There are homoeopathic medication like Hydrangea, Berberis Vulgaris, Cantharis, etc. which are given to remove a small stone in the kidney. Diagnosis: The following tests can rule out obstruction: abdominal X-rays. intravenous pyelogram (IVP) retrograde pyelogram. ultrasound of the kidney (this is the preferred study) MRI of the abdomen and kidneys. abdominal CT scan.

Dear user, pimples are commonest problem in adolescence. Use following homeopathic medicines ; 1-tab pimplex sbl/2 tab thrice daily. 2-berberis aqui q/ 10 drops thrice daily with 1/4 cup water. Drink plenty of water during day, avoid sun exposure, eat fresh fruits and be stress free and do meditation for a while daily. Thanks and do follow up after 4 weeks.

No, swelling of uterus is a diagnosis given by quacks to earn money through innocent women. Get and ultrasound done to rule out pid (pelvic inflammatory disease) get back with the report. Pid is treatable with medicines.

Dear. Follow these best tips to get in shape and loose weight.* body become over weight due to deposition of fatty tissues. First you should follow diet plan for weight loss. * in morning, take 2-3 chapattis witha bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of without cream milk after 2 hour of breakfast. *in lunch you can take a bowl of soupor salad. *in evening, you can take a cup of teawith glucose biscuits. *in dinner, you can take a bowl of fruits or 2 chapattis with a bowl of vegetables. * for thighs & hips - work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15 minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. To reduce the tummy, * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * lie down on plain surface, put your hands on the back of head by folding your elbows, now move your head towads the knees try to touch your knees with forehead and then move back and lie down. Repeat it for 5-10 times daily for flat tummy. * do surya namaskar yoga everyday, as surya namaskar have 12 forms of yoga. Do it for in morning everyday to get in shape in short period.

I am 50 yrs old, my weight is 73 kg, I have pain in my both knees, more in the left side one. I feel crackling sound when bend my knee. I also have pain in my thigh muscles. When I walk for some time, I feel pain in my both feet and feel tired. Please advise.

Kindly show me a photograph & digital x rays of both knee. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days. Bio d3 max 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I am 71 years old I have RBB and sometimes feels giddy, palpitation and the pulse rate goes up to 90 per minute (normal is around 65) Dr. has suggested me to take clopitab 75 mg lifelong Can I stop the medicine as it occurs 3, 4 Times in a year.

Hi, as I can see you are worried about your symptoms and rbbb. First of all let me assure you rbbb is quite a common finding especially in elderly patients (age above 65 years), usually it does not require any treatment except for two conditions. 1. If there is some underlying heart condition causing rbbb or 2. You are having frequent symptoms of palpitation, blackouts etc. Treatment is basically pacemaker implantation. So I would suggest you to consult a cardiologist if your symptoms persist. Now coming to your next queries. Yes, you have to take clopitab 75 lifelong only to be stopped if there are some complications like black tarry stool, black spots under the skin or unexplained bleeding. Regarding your pulse rate. Normal pulse rate is 60 to 100. So you need not to worry about having pulse rate of 90. Revert if needed thank you.

Wear sports shoes n knee cap for precautions n while running in practicing try to take small step n avoid high jumping. If this is also not helpful then stop running n start fast walking without jumping it will equally n similarly give stamina. Hope this will helpful.

Hi please thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am dr akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Please since your pain is only 15 days old and you have also not mentioned any radiation of pain to limbs or any other associated neurological symptoms, I advise you: please - to maintain proper posture while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available.
