Hi lybrate-user, you can become pregnant but pregnancy complications rates are higher in an obese. You should do aerobics, swimming, high intensity exercises and come to your normal BMI before you plan for pregnancy to prevent complications like gestational diabetes, hypertension, large birth weight babies, difficulty delivering, preterm.

An unmarried female of 21 years old has breasts which are very small in size. Also she has problem of irregular periods with delay of 1.5 months or more. What could be the reasons. What is the treatment?

M.Ch - Plastic Surgery
Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon, Mumbai
Has she put on weight? may have pcod? pl. See a gynecologist for irregularity of periods. For increase in size of breasts she will need plastic surgery, there are two methods by which breasts size can be increased. 1. Silicone implants or 2. Your own body fat, which can be injected in your breasts without any cuts on breasts.

Hi Mr. If she doesn't have any urge to have sex she can use some supplements consult a psychiatrist and psychologist for psychotherapy. If she is willing, if not then you will have no choice but to continue with life. It's not mental issue but a bodily issue may be, if there is no arousal at all.

Hello doctor. I am 20 years old and weigh approximately 73 kgs. I want to reduce my weight to 50 KGS. please could you help me with a diet chart. And suggest me whether taking medicines for weight loss is harmful to the normal working of the body.

Hello doctor. I am 20 years old and weigh approximately 73 kgs. I want to reduce my weight to 50 KGS. please could yo...
Yes taking medicines for weight loss are harmful and so are some of the diet supplements. At 20 your target should be to reduce weight @5 kg per month. You will see sudden loss in first month, may be less in next month, don't get discouraged, after 3rd moth weight loss will be rapid and stable. Do join a gym and take help from a qualified instructor, eat everything healthy but no charts, because being conscious of weight loss will not help you, make it a habit to eat a list of items and to avoid other list of not to eat. Cut down on fats to bare minimum but do take healthy fats like a spoon of honey added to lemon juice and warm water, every morning on empty stomach plus eat a spoon of desi ghee or butter and a katori of assorted nuts everyday. Eat lots of seasonal vegetables and fruits plus eating according to constitution. Take one meal of daal roti chawal but no in between beinging. Do weigh yourself only once a week and don't be obsessed with body.

MONITOR PORTIONS
It is incredibly easy to consume too much food than your body actually requires. One reason for this simple mistake is the brain’s inability to keep up with how your stomach is feeling, i.e.: full or still hungry. Measuring your servings will not only ensure you are eating appropriate amounts, but will also help you trim down your servings if needed. And, if portion control is difficult for you, buy food products in single servings whenever possible or divide up your larger portions into smaller ones as soon as you get home from the store (and when you are not hungry).
