Infertility in Females!

Infertility in Females!

Infertility in females is a big issue caused by many varied factors such as PCOS, Uterine issues, m.c. issues, polyps, cysts etc.

  • In Ayurveda AARTAV SHUDDHI  (Cleansing of uterus, ovaries/reproductive system) is a procedure for regularising menstruation as the first main step which consumes, in many cases, upto four to six months. Once this regulariry is achieved,  further steps to induce conception are taken and then once that achieved,  medicines are given to establish the foetus health.
  • Barring some major issues, if the causes are due to functional fault, the conception is achieved. Some 'lekhan dravya' (curetting herbs) are capable of clearing small cysts, polyps too. Obesity like issues are controlled by managing hormonal balance.
  • Most of this traditional wisdom is not explored yet in terms of modern documentation.
  • There are no side effects of these herbs, nor these interact with modern drugs.

IVF - Know The Alternatives For It!

IVF - Know The Alternatives For It!

In vitro Fertilization or IVF is the procedure of fertilization by physically joining an egg and sperm in a dish, followed by insertion of the embryo into the uterus. However, some other, less notable techniques may offer better benefits, practical usage and serve as alternative options to IVF. These are as follows:

  1. GIFT - Gamete intrafallopiantransfer:
    • Gamete intrafallopiantransfer (GIFT) is analogous to IVF, from numerous aspects. However, there is one extremely remarkable distinction.
    • Unlike IVF, a woman undertaking GIFT takes fertility medications to stimulate egg generation in her ovaries. The eggs are then expelled from her body.
    • Male sperm is gathered and washed to isolate the regenerative cells from other original liquids.
    • The consolidated material is set in a catheter and afterward, by means of laparoscopy, infused into the woman’s fallopian tubes.
    • There, ideally, preparation will happen.
    • A few couples lean toward this technique for individual or religious reasons, as it permits birth to happen in its regular habitat, instead of a lab.
  2. ZIFT and TET:
    • These abbreviations stand for Zygote intrafallopiantransfer and tubal developing life transfer.
    • In ZIFT and TET, the starting stages are like GIFT: a woman experiences controlled ovarian hyper stimulation with the guide of effective medications so as to deliver different eggs. These are then expelled from her body, male sperm is gathered, washed, and treated for ideal fusion.
    • In any case, in ZIFT and TET, the laparoscopic move into the fallopian tubes happens only after treatment has occurred in the research center.
    • In ZIFT, eggs are recovered and prepared on one day, and the next day the embryo is exchanged. TET gives the fetus a couple of more formative days before it is moved to the fallopian tubes.
  3. IUI - Intrauterine insemination
    • In intrauterine insemination (IUI), a type of manual sperm injection, comprising washed sperm, is infused straight into a woman’s uterus (when she is expected to ovulate) by means of a catheter that is embedded completely through the cervix.
    • By setting the sperm inside the uterus (instead of the sperm making its way up the vaginal channel and through the cervix into the uterus), it is trusted that it will be simpler for the sperm to reach and infuse a discharged egg.
    • Additionally, if the woman is delivering cervical mucous that is synthetically not suitable for her partner’s sperm, this potential issue can be avoided, since IUI sidesteps the cervix.
  4. Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
    • This procedure includes "washing" sperm and infusing the uniquely arranged sperm into the egg.
    • The procedure requires a unique magnifying instrument and glass needles for the infusion of one sperm, specifically under the defensive external layer and into the focal point of the egg itself, before being set inside the woman’s body. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Gynaecologist.

Health Tip to Stay Healthy

What are the different symptoms of heart attack, cardiac arrest and stroke?

Many people put cardiac arrest, heart attack and a stroke in the same category. But all these conditions differ in symptoms, severity and background. Making a difference between these three health issues is really important, in order to know how to help a patient and how to prevent any of the conditions becoming more severe. To learn and educate yourselves more, read the full explanation of these conditions below:

1. Heart attack

This represents a circulation disorder. In case a person's blood flow is blocked or oxygen deprived, the blood does not get to the heart muscle and if left untreated immediately, could kill the organ. It is important to know that the heart is still working, when someone suffers a heart attack.

2. Cardiac arrest

This condition is known as an electrical disorder. When someone's electrical activity in the heart is disrupted, tachycardia happens and the blood flow immediately stops moving thought the body. When this happens, the heart stops working altogether.

3. Stroke

This is also known as a brain disorder. Strokes are divided into three types:

Ischemic stroke- when the artery carrying blood and oxygen to the brain is blockedtransient ischemic attack (tia)  also familiar as a mini stroke; it occurs when there is a short artery blood flow to the brainhemorrhagic stroke- this represents a ruptured artery inside the brain

Heart attack symptoms:

Here are the most common symptoms that can indicate heart attacks:

(angina) burden inside the chest, mistaken for indigestion. It repeats every few minutes. body pain- especially in the neck, back, abdomen, jaw, arms (particularly the left one) wheezing and shallow breathingcold sweatingdizziness and fatigue episodesanxietycoughingnausea

Treatment for these symptoms is usually via medication and incorporating a healthy diet.

Cardiac arrest symptoms:

These symptoms often occur minutes before cardiac arrest happens. Here they are:

Weakness black out fainting shallow breaths chest pain excessive palpitation

In some cases the person can also identify the following symptoms:

Sudden collapse shortage of breath weak or no pulse little or no responsiveness

Cardiac arrests are dangerous, because the symptoms occur rapidly and are usually lethal.

Stroke symptoms:

Nausea blurred speech face, arm or leg numbness or paralysis (especially on one side) headaches and vomiting mental disorientation, forgetfulness of names and places, distraction and loss of concentration impaired vision and double vision excessive sweating walking issues and dizziness transient ischaemic attack (tia)

I have taken mifepristone 200 mg 1 tab yesterday at 1 pm and then taken 1 tab of 200 mg Misoprostol tab after 6 hour ...
Yes you are following right schedule. Ideally misoprotol tablet, 4 of them should be taken twice a day starting from next day of single tablet of mifepristone. But now for remaining 2 tabs, do take then with a gap of 12 hours. If it's less than 8 weeks expulsion will occur or if it's just a few days up then also medical abortion fails. Do read the fine print on pack. Consult a doctor after a week of last dose taken. Incomplete abortion is a dangerous side effect of medical abortion. It does lead to hemorrhage and infection and woman keeps waiting for bleeding to stop and is scared of doctors.

I just want to know for my knowledge are flavoured condoms good during intercourse?

BASM, MD, MS (Counseling & Psychotherapy), MSc - Psychology, Certificate in Clinical psychology of children and Young People, Certificate in Psychological First Aid, Certificate in Positive Psychology
Psychologist, Palakkad
Dear user. I can understand. Flavored condoms are just regular latex condoms with a flavored coating. Flavoured condoms come in use for oral sex. It is not recommended that you use it for penetration. Secondly condoms are used to protect yourself from Sexually transmitted diseases and as a precautions against pregnancy. Flavored condoms are simply equal to the normal latex condoms in its basic purpose. Take care.

Hi lybrate-user, you can have un protected sex, with your trusted life partner. As with others you have the risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases. If your worry is pregnancy, then safe sex is to be practiced in days other than 10 days of the middle of the monthlyperiod. In other words, 4-5 days after bleeding & 4-5 days before bleeding is considered safe, provided the monthly cycle is regular every 28 - 30 days.
