Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Its better if you give more details about your knee pain like duration, injury etc. For general pain you can apply dhanwantharm thailam and give hot fomentation. Do once daily for 3 to 5 days.

I have little fracture in my back (l5s1) is there any cure except operation?

It usually does not need operation. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

What is the severity of pain? is the pain continous or intermittent? is it pulsating? since pain is a complex phenomenon, there are many treatment options medications, therapies, and mind-body techniques. Apart from pain killers, there is evidence that certain dietary supplements and vitamins can help with certain types of pain. Fish oil is often used to reduce pain associated with swelling. A therapeutic diet complemented with few medications for pain management can also work wonders. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days do back (spine)/shoulder/knee exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do not ignore it. It may have to be further investigated. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days, then contact me again. Contact your family doctor or nearest hospital for emergency help.

Heat a bit Mahanarayan and Mahavishgarbh oils. Mix. Massage lightly. Hit water bath after two hrs. Drink Panchakol herbs boiled in water 100ml daily night.

And how this can be control?
Normally because of muscle spasm it pains and gradually with the repeated exercise it adopts and pain reduces to avoid do have proper warm up before exercise with slight stretches in the joints and begin gradual movements of exercise.

I operated my right knee in 2013 for acl injury now I have pain some time knee locked so cont move leg for some time some Dr. said muscles are week some said do more exercise so can you tell me what's happen is there any other reason.

there is a possibility of a new meniscal tear. if you pain and locking symptoms then its better to get a repeat MRI.

Im having issue of back pain from last two months tat too 1 time in 5 days I did not consult the doctor yet.
Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

In x-ray details may not be visible, do not bother as your age is supportive in treatment 1- soak the absorbent cotton pad in maha vishgarbha tail and put these soaked pads and apply bandage or put kneecap (should not tight- purchase bit loose to accommodate pads) keep for 3-4 hours. 2- tablet sallaki 500 mg twice daily with no. 3 medicine 3- maharasnadi please kwath 15 ml with water twice after food 4- dashanga lepa take 10 gm mix in hot water and apply over knee joint at night- continue for three months please and report

Sometimes if you have organ issues pain can be referred from that but it should resolve once the stone is removed. It is also possible that you have a disc or nerve irritation that may be overlooked so consult a good spine specialist to get accurate diagnosis.

Hello, follow advises given below 1.Avoid using computers continuously, take rest for 5 min after working for half an hour 2. In pain free interval do neck exercise (kindly learn exercise by registered Trainer) 3. you can use thin pillow while sleeping so that normal posture of neck can be maintained 4.Maintain proper posture of body while watching TV/ studying Kindly go for cervical X ray AP and lateral and review with reports

Hi self-management may include using ice, stretching, wearing proper footwear and altering training (exercise) methods. Ice should be applied twice a day approximately 20 minutes.
