Sir , I am 50 years old recently got my testosterone level checked and it is 230.89 ng/DL Please tell me is this level is ok with people my age or I need to take some medicine . And what are the symptoms .

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hi, in general, the normal range in males is about 270 to 1070 ng/dl with an average level of 679 ng/dl. A normal male testosterone level peaks at about age 20, and then it slowly declines. It has been suggested that a 1% decrease in testosterone level per year is not unusual for middle-aged (30 to 50 years old) and older males. While this decrease may not be noticeable in some men, others may experience significant changes starting in their middle-aged years or more commonly at age 60 and above. Consult an endocrinologist for his view and suggestion.

How many hours should a person sleep at night and is it advisable to sleep in the afternoon? Is 6 hours of sleep enough for our body because I have a lot of portion to complete as I am preparing for competitive exams. Please suggest.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), MD Ayurveda
Ayurveda, Yamunanagar
Hello, lybrate-user. Yes, one should take at least 6 hours of sleep in a day which is a minimum requirement of the body, but you may feel fatigue with that much sleep, if you do meditate along with this 15 min twice a day. You will feel more energetic and your concentration will also increase. The formula for the day sleep is like if you are not able to take proper sleep or full duration of sleep at night, than you can sleep half the time of lees slept you last night, otherwise in a day routine 20 min power nap in a day is very effective. Thanx.

Hello sir mera name Ankit kumar singh hai Or mera problem h ki mera sex time bahot jayada km hai turant biray. Gir jata hai so. Please koi idea bataeye.

BHMS, DEMS
Homeopath, Pune
Premature ejection is often due to physical changes occuring in the body due to aging. Men over age 30 may begin to have problems even though their sex lives were fine when they were younger. The problem is often an inadequate blood supply in the penis. When the arteries in the penis become partially clogged with fat and cholesterol, maintaining an erection becomes more difficult. When this occurs, your brain tells your body that you'd better ejaculate before you lose your erection, and a pattern for premature ejection is developed. Tips to deal with this situation. Live a healthy lifestyle in order to maintain good arterial health. Eat two or three cloves everyday to get long lasting erections. Take finely chopped carrots and add one table of honey and half boiled egg. Take this mixture regularly to get effective results.  Your potency will be prolonged if you eat a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet, exercise regularly, don't smoke or drink and keep your stress managed along with proper homoepathic treatment.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
A bone marrow transplant, also known as a stem cell transplant, is the only cure for sickle cell anaemia. It involves replacing the affected bone marrow with bone marrow donated by someone without sickle cell anaemia. After the transplant, the new bone marrow will produce healthy blood cells.

Eat a light diet - eat more of fruits and salads, avoid fried and oily foods. Drink a lot of water and exercise daily for 45mins-1hr. This will make you more active, alert and help you concentrate. Write your GOAL on a sheet of paper and put it where it is always visible. Memory is related to understanding -Therefore, 1. Always emphasize comprehension (understanding the topic) rather than cramming. 2. Divide task into smaller chunks - make points - ask your self the basic questions - What was there in the topic, Who did what , When, Where, Why and How? If you are able to answer these questions , you will generally remember it for long. 3. Revise the points orally before sleeping. 4. Keep yourself well hydrated- have water before sitting down to study. 5. Stop studying if you feel you can't understand- Take a short break for 10 mins, have a glass of water, stretch and get back to studying Set your targets for the next day before sleeping - and give yourself a suggestion that you are fresh after 6 hours of sleep.

My son is 5 yrs. Since he has been diagnosed as a mild autism .because of this I am facing many problems like he is speech delay ,flickering and main issue is that he is not telling abt his potty .Where he is sitting at same place he do his potty .be'coze of this we are facing allot problems and school people are not considering such kind of problem.

Mam your may need a visual schedule or behavior modification therapy to remember the steps for using the bathroom In this method we need two or even three people available to work in shifts. Your child should be in regular underwear with no pants for easy access and so you can clearly see if they have had an accident. Give your child plenty of liquids, which will encourage urination and increase the opportunities to reward successful attempts. Sitting on the potty needs to be a fun time, with games, puzzles or social interaction. Blow bubbles, bring a TV and DVD player into the bathroom, sing songs, give the child candy, etc. Make sure the child cannot access any of these items outside of the bathroom For further clarification you can consult SPEECH THERAPIST trained in ABA.

Too much cholesterol in the blood can lead to cardiovascular disease. What you eat has a direct impact on your cholesterol level. In fact, a diet rich in fiber and other cholesterol-lowering foods may help lower cholesterol as much as statin medication for some people. Working with a registered dietitian and doctor is the key to develop and maintain a successful health program to manage it. I will inform you on how to make diet, lifestyle changes, make you understand instructions for taking medication because it won't work if you don't take it as directed. Consult privately for a holistic dietary therapy to solve your problems.

General Physician,
Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) is a disorder that can lead to easy or excessive bruising and bleeding. The bleeding results from unusually low levels of platelets — the cells that help blood clot. Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, which is also called immune thrombocytopenia, affects children and adults. Children often develop ITP after a viral infection and usually recover fully without treatment. In adults, the disorder is often long term.People with mild idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura may need nothing more than regular monitoring and platelet checks. Children usually improve without treatment. Most adults with ITP will eventually need treatment, as the condition often becomes severe or long-term (chronic) ITP. Treatment may include a number of approaches, such as medications to boost your platelet count or surgery to remove your spleen (splenectomy). Talk with your doctor about the risks and benefits of your treatment options. Some people find that the side effects of treatment are more burdensome than the effects of the disease itself.Drugs that suppress your immune system. Your doctor will likely start you on an oral corticosteroid, such as prednisone. This drug may help raise your platelet count by decreasing the activity of your immune system. Once your platelet count is back to a safe level, you can gradually discontinue taking the drug under the direction of your doctor. In general, this takes about two to six weeks. The problem is that many adults experience a relapse after discontinuing corticosteroids. A new course of corticosteroids may be pursued, but long-term use of these medications isn't recommended because of the risk of serious side effects. These include cataracts, high blood sugar, increased risk of infections and thinning of bones (osteoporosis). If you try to attach reports it is not visible and you have to personally attach to me by going to private consult.

Hello. Asthma is thought to be caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Medication: Bronchitis/ Asthma can be treated with homoeopathic medicines completely, only need to be regular with the medication and avoid those foods/ things to which you are allergic to for sometime. Keep taking your already on going medication, reduce it gradually and slowly once homoeopathic starts acting. Take Bakson's Astha-Aid drops/ 10-15 drops in 1/2 cup water/ thrice d day for 1 month. Report me back after a month.
