While it is normal to experience pain for few days after the completion of root canal but if required retreatment can be done in the teeth again to relieve them of pain .the approximate time depends on the severity of infection .usually it can be completed in single sitting also and expenses for the treat treatment may vary from doctor to doctor.

My teeth are stained after using ayurvedic tooth powder. It works well but how to get rid of the stains doc. Thank you.
The stains are the result of ingredients of tooth powder. You can easily get rid of them by getting the scaling and polishing done at a local dentist. But if you continue using the same tooth powder the stains will reappear within a matter of few weeks so its up to you whether you want to continue using this tooth powder or shift to toothpaste which are better equipped for taking care of dental problems without staining.

I have cavity on my third molar (upper jaw. Should I go for filling (metal or composite) instead of tooth extraction. There is no pain but a small portion of tooth has fallen due to cavity.

I have cavity on my third molar (upper jaw. Should I go for filling (metal or composite) instead of tooth extraction....
Until and unless qualified practitioner looks at the earliest ,it is difficult to make out weather the cavity is shallow or it is Deep .so the best option is to get it checked with your local dentist and let the dentist decide if the truth can be saved by restoration or extraction .if the third molar is well accepted by the occlusion pattern of your mouth it can be saved by doing RCT also .the best option for is to go and see a dentist so an informed decision can be made.

Experiencing pain even after 2 months of surgery is not normal. If it's the same truth then you should see the dentist from whom you got the extraction done from and the doctor will be able to tell you that if it's the same tooth or the other truth in the same side either way you should get the examination done as soon as possible so that exact cause of your problem can be found out and treated accordingly.

It is normal to experience pain and discomfort after extraction of tooth. It should get normal within 3 to 4 days .if the pain persists then you can see your dentist again and show your problem. In the meantime you can repeat the medication prescribed by your dentist.

Hello doctor my mom is 47 years old she used to get blood in saliva in the morning when she spits. But now whenever she spits she gets blood in saliva. We took all the blood examine of TB CT ENT scan etc everything is normal. So yesterday she took teeth cleaning and scaling as dentist said its a gum infection. But still she experiencing blood in saliva we are very much scared. Pls suggest us what to do? Is it dangerous?

It's a good thing that your mother got the scaling and cleaning done now wait for few days for its effect to take place .if the bleeding doesn't stop then Deep gingival curettage and maybe a flap surgery is required for elimination of deep pockets .don't worry it's completely normal to experience bleeding even after getting the scaling done ,as she got the scaling done for the first time. A good clinician should be enough to diagnose if another sitting of scaling is needed or deep gingival curettage is needed.

This is normal for kids to experience diarrhea whenever teeth erupt in to the oral cavity the change in microflora of the oral cavity leads to sach diarrhea there is no treatment required as it is a self limiting situation and will subside within 1 to 2 weeks. In the meantime you can feed the child good amount of healthy fluids like rice water or vegetable soups.

My mouth is not open properly due to chewing of ghutka so please suggest any tablet please.

PCAD, MCID Implant, BDS, Advanced Aesthetics
Dentist, Chandigarh
First of all you will have to stop chewing gutka forever. Secondly you must see the oral surgeon and get the check up done. If the doctor finds it essential then he would suggest the biopsy of the site. The medicine is available for this problem of yours but has to be taken under the supervision of a qualified doctor only.

Whether the problematic tooth should be saved or not should be decided by the dental doctor only. It's not dangerous at all when the treatment is carried out by experienced and qualified doctor. So don't worry and get the second opinion from another doctor if you have any doubts before getting the treatment done.

It is very difficult to tell exactly which condition is affecting your mouth according to the information and appearance described by you. There are many similar looking ulcers which require completely different treatments. The best way is to consult an expert dental doctor and get it checked for best treatment outcome.
