Botox and Dermal Fillers - The Twin Face of Cosmetology

Fillers vs botox

When it comes to the fight against fine lines there are seemingly endless options for giving your complexion a youthful boost. Botox and dermal fillers have long been a gold standard in cosmetic treatments. Both have been known to turn back the clock, smooth wrinkles and make your skin look younger. One of the most popular questions about the two procedures is: which one is better? this question is often misleading as both treatments are used depending on the patient's needs, and is nothing alike. We've all heard of botox thanks to the spate of celebrities who use it, but what about fillers, the other option for smooth, line-free skin?

Treatment comparison

Betting on botox

Botox is essentially refined neurotoxin, which can help treat wrinkles. Typical sites for botox are frown lines, forehead lines, crow's feet, lip lines, and many other wrinkles that result from facial expression. these treatments work by causing facial muscles to relax temporarily. Wrinkles continue to become more defined as the muscles become tighter and the skin creates deeper grooves. Botox relaxes the muscle so that the skin is not continually being pulled which gives the skin time to smooth out.

Botox has also been known to relieve headaches in patients which are caused by muscle spasms or tension. It may be surprising to learn that botox is also useful with patients suffering from axillary hyperhidrosis. Axillary hyperhidrosis is a condition where a patient suffers from excessive sweating from the armpits. In this case, botox will block some of the signals which lead to secretion via sweaty armpits.

Focus on fillers

Dermal fillers on the other hand, are designed to fill wrinkles, and re-volumize areas such as the cheeks, that typically lose volume as we age. Cosmetic fillers can plump up thin lips, enhance facial contours, improve the appearance of recessed scars, and get rid of facial lines while restoring volume and fullness to the face.

It contains hyaluronic acid, which plumps up the skin, filling and smoothing out any surface wrinkles. The smooth injectable gel helps restore the skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, including those highly visible ones around the mouth and nose and on the forehead.

Misconceptions

Perhaps the most common misconception surrounding botox and dermal fillers is that they can achieve the same results as getting a facelift. This is simply not true since a facelift is a surgical operation and can accomplish more drastic results. Botox and dermal fillers merely alleviate the effects of aging and for younger people, can be used as a preventative.

Side effects

Negative side effects for non-invasive cosmetic treatments are usually uncommon, but it's important to note there are still risks, which can vary depending on the procedure. Compared to more invasive facial rejuvenation procedures, botox and dermal fillers are considered to be very safe procedures.

Recovery

There is minimal downtime for using botox. In fact, patients can have this treatment done on their lunch break and return to work. There is always a risk of swelling and bruising with dermal fillers, but most patients return to work the same day as well. This is a quick recovery compared to invasive procedures, which can take weeks, if not months, to heal.

Results

Typically, a patient can feel the results within a couple of days but may not see any results for a week or two.

It is important to remember that botox lasts for approximately four to six months depending on the patient. Many patients prefer a repeat dosage sooner than other patients because they are not tolerant of seeing any wrinkles at all.

The dermal filler results last for 1-2 years depending on the product you choose.

Botox and fillers: can you get both?

While you might think that botox and fillers can only be used separately, they're actually better together. Botox is often used in conjunction with fillers (and even lasers) to enhance the overall results of those treatments. botox and fillers are a perfect combination

Botox and fillers perform differently, so a combination of those treatment works better than either treatment alone. Botox relaxes the underlying facial muscle, while fillers plump the skin and smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. together they provide the most soft and natural looking improvement in facial appearance and age related cosmetic concerns. In many cases soft tissue filler will last longer when used with botox

Between botox and fillers you should have no trouble finding a skin smoothing solution that works for you. Wrinkles and fine lines don't stand a chance against either, and if you really want a put stop to aging skin use a combination of both.

Balanitis is irritation of the head (glans) of your penis. It's usually caused by poor hygiene or an infection. You're more likely to develop balanitis if you're uncircumcised. Inability to pull back your foreskin (phimosis) using a mild cleanser, or only water, instead of soap to wash the penis drying your penis properly after washing using products designed for sensitive skin on the genital area using hypoallergenic laundry products on your clothes wearing soft, loose-fitting cotton underwear, and loose clothes drinking plenty of water to keep your body hydrated applying a penis-specific moisturizer after showers and baths.

Hey I have been having acne problem from 1 year, whenever I eat meat or egg I have acne attacks, I am using BP 5% from 2 months it is not helping me. Can you help me?

Only bp will not help. Acne can be treated easily with facewash, tablets and creams. Some people have more oilyness on the face which results in breakouts. After completing treatment for controlling the active breakouts, tablets can be stopped and creams need to be continued to prevent recurrence. Diet and lifestyle modifications are also important. Please don't do any self treatment such as over the counter Steroid creams. Don't burst the pimples with your fingers as it can result in ugly scars. The marks left behind after the pimples heal can also be treated. Please call me or send your photos through online consult option for detailed prescription and diet advice.

Please help me I am losing my hair. Suggest me something that can cure my hairfall.
There are various reasons for getting hair fall. Nutritional deficiency, stress, acute illness like malaria, typhoid, chronic illness like diabetes, thyroid are few of the reasons. Hair is made up of minerals, protein and iron. Protein rich food like sprouts, beans, nuts, soya is good for hair. Green leafy vegetables improves iron content in the body. Drinking 3 lit of water helps to detoxify the body. Oil the scalp with jaborandi hair oil 3/week and wash it with mild scalp cleanser.
