You should consider getting a professional cleaning done by the dentist. This is just a gum disease and does NOT need any blood test or investigation. Clean your teeth. And maintain good hygiene habits at home.

Main cause of halitosis is not maintaining your oral hygiene properly. First, clean your tongue properly. Second, brush twice daily with a fluoridated toothpaste. Third, use mouth wash.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Kindly consult an orthodontist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations (Model study, Full mouth & profile x-ray) & clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need fixed / removable braces. Requirements may depends on the age, complaint, duration of the treatment & affordability. Cost of cosmetic dentistry (braces) varies with dentist. You may consult me in person.

I have just a little black line just at the corner attached to gums on my teeth. Not getting disappear. What should I do to remove it from teeth and to prevent other teeth also from it.

it can be a normal finding because of melanin which gives color to our skin and gums. laser or gum stripping can solve your problem temporarily.

Hi, teeth have a protective layer called enamel with age the enamel wears off and become thin which causes to become teeth sensitive to cold and hot. You need to get a professional check up done to know the exact cause and solution of your problem.

Maintaining oral health is very important for overall general health of individual. Tartar formation on the teeth and gum bleeding and gum disease are a strong aggravating factors for sudden heart attacks . Dental infection in pregnancy can lead to premature babies . So one has to brush atleast twice in a day and rinse after any food intake , massage the gums after brushing. Visit the dentist every 6 months for early diagnosis. Take care.

Bad Habits That Can Harm Your Smile
1. Brushing Too Hard can actually do more harm than good
2. Many of us clench our jaws unconsciously and grind our teeth while we sleep. This can cause tooth fracture and may also damage dental work
3.Try to remember that your teeth can be delicate and easily broken.Use your teeth for chewing and smiling, and leave the other work to the tools.

Missing Teeth

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Missing Teeth
If you are missing one or more teeth, there are plenty of reasons to correct the problem. For one thing, a large space between your teeth may affect how you speak or eat. Even if it’s not noticeable, a missing molar can affect how you chew. Remaining teeth may shift and in some cases, bone loss can occur around a missing tooth.

With today’s advances, you don’t have to suffer from missing teeth. Here are some options to replace a lost tooth or teeth:

Bridges. Anchored to your adjacent teeth, these can be removable or fixed, depending on your mouth, your dentist’s recommendation and your needs.

Dentures. An option if you’ve lost all or most of your teeth.

Implants. Most similar to a natural tooth.

Talk to your dentist about which option is best for you.

I have pain on my teeth and I am not able to chew anything so tell me what should I do.

BDS
Dentist, Noida
Pain in teeth can be caused by many things like it can b due to-- 1-dental cavities which are deep enough to expose pulp (nerve) causing its irritation leading to pain and infection, 2- gum problems 3- any trauma to tooth 4- pain due to tmjoint. For better diagnosis and treatment plan visit a dentist for full clinical examination along with xrays. (as without seeing I cannot suggest you proper treatment).

I have very dark greenish color at the back side of my teeth. I am suffering from this problem since 4 years. Recently I consulted a dentist and she did cleaning for my teeth. After I met the dentist my tooth color became white but not for long time. After three months again my teeth color started to change again and now it became greenish color. What is the reason for this and it can be cured permanently?

Certified Implantologist, BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
The reason is that you are not brushing the area properly which is leading to plaque build up in the region. Visit a dentist again and get it cleaned also ask the dentist to teach you the correct brushing technique.

My right incisor has broken slightly before 10 years. Whether I have to go for capping or any cement like filling is there. How much will it cost?

MDS - Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, BDS
Dentist, Hyderabad
Broken tooth can be restored using a composite filling or a crown (Metal ceramic, All ceramic or Zirconia) depending on the amount of tooth loss after fracture. But first, the dentist would clinically evaluate the condition of your teeth by looking if any colour changes are seen compared to the adjacent teeth (Discoloraion), take radiographs (x-ray) to evaluate the condition of the root and its surrounding structures, any pain while tapping on the tooth, exposure of the pulp, etc. If any pathology is seen in the radiograph, might even require a Root canal treatment before restoring the broken part. All these will be analysed and an appropriate treatment plan along with alternative options based on your requirement will be given by the dentist. I hope that I have clarified your query. Thank you.
