Take care of your teeth. You only get one set of permanent teeth. Brush your teeth twice a day, floss every day, and see your dentist regularly.

I had a gap (1-2 mm) between my up front two teeth. To remove gap what I should do? Can I use bands available in market?

PLease do not try to close the gap on your own with bands which will also not work. You need to wear braces for at least six months or one year depending on the amount of gap. Please visit an orthodontist.(dentist ). If the gap is very small then it can be filled with cement.

BDS
Dentist, Botad
Bleeding while brushing is due to deposits present around your teeth, for this you need to clean your teeth. For small teeth various treatment options will be there like crown or veneer preparation on teeth. Consult dentist for this.

What can be reason of light black lines forming I teeth of 9 month old baby. How can we get rid of it.

What can be reason of light black lines forming I teeth of 9 month old baby. How can we get rid of it.
Hello Lybrate user, teeth erupted in a nine month old baby are upper and lower incisors and blackening in these teeth may be due to extrinsic stain. The cause of this extrinsic stain may due excess iron intake through iron fortified formula but without examining the teeth of baby and taking a history about medications and the cereals and formula, it is not possible to tell you the exact cause of this dark line. You better find a pediatric dentist and visit him or her. Hope this helps.

Hi, tooth ache can be caused due to deep decay or even gum related issues concerning the particular tooth. Pain killers can give you only temporary relief and not advisable to take for longer periods. Its better to consult your dentist and get the tooth treated as soon as possible. If the decay is extensive or if the tooth is damaged beyond the point of saving only then its advised to extract the particular tooth, otherwise its always better to save the tooth.

Regarding cavity in milk teeth .whether it should be treated or .wait till tooth loosens.

BDS, MDS
Dentist, Gorakhpur
Regarding cavity in milk teeth .whether it should be treated or .wait till tooth loosens.
It can be and should be treated and filled if pulp or vital tissue of tooth is not exposed yet. On e exposed, simple filling will exaggerate problem, it should be then evaluated for future permanent tooth concern, if permanent tooth will take time to erupt and treatment for milk tooth is possible, it should be done. If treatment not possible in extensively decayed tooth, it has to be extracted and a space Maintainer is placed.
