Gargling with warm salt water is an effective way to treat a sore throat. Salt can even help kill the bacteria or virus causing pharyngitis. Mix three teaspoons of salt (preferably sea salt) in two cups of warm water. Gargle with this solution. Do not swallow it. Spit the water out after gargling. Do this several times daily for one to two days.

First reason you already explained smoking, second main reason for this is iron deficiency which leads to dehydration by ceasing mucus production, smoking also causes dryness, so keep your throat hydrated with fresh fruits with pulp like banana, guava, mango chickoo, papaya, do not take cold drinks, junk food, start with iron rich diet, honey jaggery, raisins and most imprtant in your case do not do salt water gargling, this will further dehydrate your throat.

If symptoms are sneezing, running nose, blocked nose 1. Take proper rest/ lot of fluids 2. Take proper home made diet. 3. Steam inhalation carefully by steam inhaler twice a day for 2-3 days frequent/ continuous cough cold may be because of many reasons like: 1. Any ent problem like dns polyp sinusitis 2. You need detailed examination of nose and throat. Throat irritation can be because of post nasal drip. For nasal bolck you can use OXYSPRAY one puff in both nostrils at 5 PM followed by steam inhalation for 15 minutes for a week. Strictly stop spray usage after a week. Take Tablet ZYRCOLD half tablet in the evening at 5 PM after food for 7 days. Avoid cold foods and cold drinks. Do warm salt water gargling. Consult a nearby ENT consultant if symptoms persist.

Hello and welcome to lybrate, from your history, I have come to an conclusion that the lump is nothing but enlarged post auricular lymph node. This lymphadenopathy is generally due to scalp infection. So, I think you first go to a dermatologist. That will be best for you. Thanks and get well soon.

The report doesn't show cancer. But it is not able to specify what the tumor is of? you better consult your doctor, in such case diagnosis is achieved by correlation between your history, appearance of what you call a tumor. He may recommend you more tests.
