Sir / Maam, Iam male, 20 years of age. Can you please tell me how many times should I masturbate a week and masturbating 2 times a day can cause a disease or weakness? Thank you.

MD(MEDICINE), MBBS
Nephrologist, Chandigarh
Sir / Maam, Iam male, 20 years of age. Can you please tell me how many times should I masturbate a week and masturbat...
1. Masturbation within limits is a safe and pleasurable sexual activity enjoyed by most people. It is normal 2 to 3 times a week and up to once daily. This basically releases sexual tension and is also lowers stress. 2. Its true that masturbating a lot can lead to fatigue resulting in weak erections which cannot be sustained more than a few minutes. This occurs mainly due to neurochemical depletion and hormone imbalance. Therefore it should not be done too much. 3. Compulsive Masturbation becomes a problem when your mind is busy with thoughts of masturbation and sexual nature and you are unable to concentrate on your work and study. Overdoing it might cause anxiety also and lead to addictive behavior. Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems .

Hi sir, am aravind, age 25. I have a big problem, my penis is too small, after erection, size will be (3.6inc) I can'...
Size does not matter. It is how you shower your love that matters, my friend.Women tend to care much less about their sexual partner's penis size than the man does himself.Average penis size is 5 to 5.6 inches long when erect but any thing more than 3 inches in the erect position is alright. As far as increasing the size of the penis is concerned, take the healthy nutritious diet.do regular exercises especially the pelvic floor strengthening ones.Do not smoke or take alcohol as they have a deleterious effect on your genital organs.Stay away from products claiming to increase penis size. Since wanting a larger penis is such a common desire, there are a lot of scammers out there making promises without fulfilling them.Be Wary of Herbal products as they mostly contain viagra like substances which are harmful in the long run.

What is normal sperm count of a person. Mine is 62million. 50percent active 50percent dead Is that ok?

MD(MEDICINE), MBBS

What is normal sperm count of a person.
Mine is 62million.
50percent active
50percent dead
Is that ok?
If the sperm count is very high like in your case, then a low motility <60% does not matter. From that point of view, it is ok for you.

My son had suffered once" mirgi" before 7 years old What should I do please tell me.

MD(MEDICINE), MBBS
Nephrologist, Chandigarh
A single unprovoked tonic clinic seizure (mirgi as you have called it) in your son when he was 3 years old and he has not had any after that carries good prognosis. You need not worry. Single unprovoked seizure has many other causes especially in young children and not necessarily be mirgi. So rest assured.

My brother has a 2 inch hole in a heart is there any treatment or we can do operation?

MD(MEDICINE), MBBS
Nephrologist, Chandigarh
My brother has a 2 inch hole in a heart is there any treatment or we can do operation?
Yes, it can be done depending upon the location whether it is vsd or asd. In vsd whether it is muscular or membranous ventricular septal defect and in case of atrial septal defect whether it is primary septal defect or not. There are many closure devices which can be used to close these defects by non operative way but in your brother's case, the defect is little large to be closed by a closure devices. The treatment also depends upon the whether patient has developed eissenmenger's complex or not.

Six days before, I washed my shoes and left them in the open to dry. How ever a dog enter our compound and chewed my shoes inside. I wore those shoes the next day with socks and five days later, without sock. Is there any danger of me getting infected with the rabies virus?

MD(MEDICINE), MBBS
Nephrologist, Chandigarh
Saliva of a rabid dog is infectious. If it licks the open skin wound, there is highly likelihood of contacting rabies. It is unlikely toget rabies if you are wearing socks with intact skin on your feet unless they are ulcerated or having open wound. However, you must find whether the dog was really rabid or not.

My liver account is high S. G. P. T (UL) 98 S. G. O. T (UL) 49 I am taking Viboliv 500mg from today I am getting tired and feel vomiting please help.

My liver account is high S. G. P. T (UL) 98
S. G. O. T (UL) 49
I am taking Viboliv 500mg from today
I am getting tire...
Since how long your liver are raised. Treatment depends upon whether the inflammation of liver which cause raised liver enzymes can be due to viral infection like hepatitis a, b, c or due to fat deposition in the liver, or immunological injury or drug induced or chronic alcoholism. Why have you started taking viboliv because it is given mainly in alcoholic liver disease though some evidence has favoured its usage non alcoholic steatohepatitis (nash). If you are taking alcohol, your symptoms are suggestive of acute alcoholic hepatitis which can be exacerbating alcohol induced chronic liver disease if you are chronic alcoholic. I suggest, you consult a heptologist and act accordingly.
