Hi. Let me tell you about hairfall. In layman's language, hairfall can be divided into 2 types - temporary hairfall and permanent (which is called as 'Hairloss' rather). In temporary hairfall, hair grows back again from the same hair root, but in case of permanent hairloss, may be because of formation of DHT (Di- Hydro -Testosterone) around hair root it gets choked up, subsequently affects the blood supply to the hair and thus hair root is lost forever. (There are different pattern and types of hairloss, because of different reasons like Alopecia Areata, Telogen Effluvium, Scarring Alopecia, Traction Alopecia, etc.) Causes of hairloss: Many factors are responsible formation of this DHT or male/ female pattern baldness - hereditary, post-illness/ ailment, post-delivery, post- chemotherapy, nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalance, insufficient sleep, sudden loss of weight, stress/ tensions/ excessive anger, use of bore water, any other underlying diseases, etc. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg., eggs, pulses, legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. walnut and almonds), iron-rich food like green vegetables, also take flaxseeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) Avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! Use Rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you FIT and YOUNG!! Medication: Take homoeopathic Rx - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa Tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Also, use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica Hair conditioner as well after every head wash. Apart from thistake Follihair tablets (multivitamin) - 1 tab. daily once for 1 month. (N.B.: With the help of homoeopathic medicines, we can only prevent further progress of the hairloss, means it will get arrests in the present condition in case of progressive baldness. But, in case there are areas of baldness which has gone smooth and shiny, you will have to choose an option of Hair Transplant along with theses medications!). Investigations advised: Get your blood tested for (empty stomach) - CBC, S. Iron, S. Folic acid, S. Ferritin, S. Calcium, S. Vitamin D3, S. Vitamin B12. If there is any family history of Thyroid dysfunction, get Thyroid function test done as well.

1.Take paracetamol 500mg, one tablet sos upto a maximum of three tablets daily after food 2.Drink plenty of water 3.Take rest 4.If no relief do blood examination like ESR, CBC, Widal/ Typhidot test, Blood for mp/malaria antigen and Dengue antigen(NS1) test after consulting doctor 5. consult me for further advice

You are suffering from acidity. Take 2 to3 litter water daily. Avoid too spacy oily ghee preparations. You take Amlapittari vati 2 tablet empty stomach in morning end 2 tablet 30 minutes before dinner for 15 days than consult me.

Density of hair on my scalp is very less. My age is just 20 years. 3-4 years ago all was good but gradually I lost my hair. I have tried many oils and shampoos but nothing worked. Even I tried minoxidil 5% as advised by a dermatologist for 1 year but it didn't help me get my hair back. They told me about mesotherapy that it will work good but I am not sure. Hye. Get your hormonal profile done. A balanced diet is very essential for maintaining healthy skin. Avoid excessive intake of junk and proprietary foods. Include fruits, raw vegetables and fresh vegetable juices in your diet. Avoid smoking and alcohol. Avoid very oily, spicy and sugary foods. Drinking good amount of water and fluids is a must to help flush out toxins from the body. Drinking lemon water in the mornings can help clear the digestive system and avoid constipation. Avoid crash diets or diets that call for avoiding any particular food groups totally. Sleep well and exercise regularly. Maintain hygiene.

Dear lybrate-user, no sexual activity can increase the size to an extent you have mentioned, though there may be some increase following activity. Best thing is to refrain from it before marriage. Further, by reducing your weight you can also reduce the size of your breast to some extent.

I am suffering ocd from last 5 years, earlier 2 year my condition was serious, but in last two years I only have problem when I leave my medicine, though the mg of my tablets is reduced. Hi, Thanks for writing in, welcome to the forum. If symptoms are controlled with medicines one must always remember that in certain people a phenomenon known as discontinuation related resistance is seen; that is the same medicine that was effective earlier does not work after a period of stopping the medicine followed by re-emergence of symptoms. So, one must be very cautious when thinking of stopping the medicines. The form of treatment that comes closest to your goal and may in some people allow one to gradually withdraw medicines are specialized form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy like exposure and response prevention, thought stopping, thought flooding, thought habituation and acceptance based therapies. Mr Anil Kumar, TSH 6.65 mU/L, is high, but falls in sub-clinical hypothyroidism. No treatment is advocated at this level, unless there are some specific troublesome symptoms attributable to that are present. There is no special lifestyle that is advised for this problem. You have to use iodinated salt, consume more of green leafy vegetables and fruits, exercise regularly and avoid weight gain. Avoid soy beans and soy containing products. Thanks.

Hi lybrate-user, sometimes there is no external reason for depression its due to neuro-chemical imbalance in brain. You should consult a psychiatrist for medication, if you tell me your symptoms in detail I would be able to screen the severity of your depression. Have more fruits in your diet- banana's, more green leafy vegetables and dry fruits, if non veg- have fish. Try to exercise daily for 30 minutes.

Hello, kindly follow health advices given below: Kindly measure your temperature and tell me reading 1. Avoid exertion 2. Take tablet paracetamol 500 mg after food as and when required for fever more than 99 f (maximum 3 tablets with gap of 8 hr can be taken in a day) for 3 days 3. Lot of fluids to be taken 4. Take proper diet homemade food like moong dal dalia, chapati etc. 4. Avoid wearing synthetic and tight cloths. Kindly go for cbc and consult physician for further management and kindly let me know what medicines you were taking and also tell me if you are having other symptoms like cough/ cold/ burning urine/ stomach pain so that we can confirm cause of fever.

I want to improve my personality in a correct size what type of diet I should follow.
The first thing you have to do is to develop a positive attitude towards your goal. You need to understand that transforming your physique is going to take a lot of time. These things don't work that easily. It's going to take a lot of hard work and consistency 1. Start exercising. Start working out if you are not active. Begin with body weight exercises like push up, pull up and squats. Weight training proves to be really helpful if you want to gain good quality weight. Train each body part twice a week. For example: Monday/Thursday: Chest + Triceps Tuesday/Friday: Back + Biceps Wednesday/Saturday: Legs + Shoulders Don't forget to warm up for at least 10 - 15 minutes. Warm up includes jumping, rope skipping, treadmill, cycling, stair climbing, etc. 2. Eat Healthy. Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food and any form of sugar. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 2 - 3 hours. Some of the recommended food items are boiled chicken and eggs, brown rice, brown bread, peanut butter, olive oil (extra virgin), green tea, dry fruits etc. 3. Consume good amount of fruits and vegetables. Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. 4. Eat whole grains. Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats are best sources of healthy carbohydrates but do not include these items in your dinner. 5. Increase protein intake. Protein proves to be the most essential nutrient when it comes down to gaining strength or building muscle. Therefore, consume all types of protein from both veg and non veg food items. Boiled chicken and eggs are the best sources of fat free protein. Sprouts are also rich in protein. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain.
