Fungal infection or Ring worm. When occurs in groin, called as jock itch. Usually fungal infection is common in moist areas of body like skin folds. It's mostly circular or round in appearance. May be red or black in colour. Treatment depending on the type and severity. Avoid sharing clothes, towels and soap; sweating also increases it. As it has to be differentiated from eczema and infection, its a must to see and confirm the diagnosis for proper treatment. So, please send photos of the affected area for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

I have just shifted to New Delhi a month back for the purpose of my UPSC preparations. I feel really tired after I return back to my pg owing to the intense heat outside, exam pre stress and the food (probably). As I stay in a pg, the food is not very nutritious or tasty. Given the number of hours I need to put in for preparation, my current physical and mental stamina does not allow me to do the same. Kindly suggest some remedies.

Dear Lybrateuser, - To keep agile & alert consume a well balanced diet with more of protein foods, do regular exercise, sleep well & keep stress levels low - try to have snacks in between meals such as a fruit or yogurt or sprouts or unsalted nuts or a milk shake to boost your energy levels, have a protein rich breakfast like cereals with milk or an egg or cheese sandwich which will provide energy & also keep you full - have plenty of oral fluids including 7-8 glasses of water per day for proper hydration - walk for 10-15 min whenever you get an opportunity, do yoga & meditation for 10-15 min daily morning to freshen your mind & to keep your body fit - sleep well for at least 7-8 hrs at night, try to keep your sleep & wake up time fixed.
