Yoga And ED!

Yoga helps you beat erectile dysfunction (ed) through stress relief, improved blood flow which is essential for stronger and long-lasting erections, and other mechanisms that scientists are now beginning to elucidate.

If you want to beat ED, study says yoga poses as an effective, natural, and inexpensive solution. We bring you seven poses to try.

1. Boat pose (naukasana)
Boat pose activates sexual hormones in men and helps you last longer between the sheets by strengthening your hips, buttocks, and thigh muscles. It belongs to one of the basic yoga poses due to its simplicity. Here’s how to do it:

• lie on the back with arms beside your body and feet together
• inhale and as you’re exhaling start lifting your chest and feet off the ground

• stretch your arms toward your feet

• your eyes, fingers, and toes should be in a straight line, but at first, it might be easier for you to keep them at knee height

• maintain the pose for a few seconds while taking a deep breath

• exhale and return to the starting position

2. Plank (kumbhakasana)
Plank is one of the most beneficial poses or exercises, you can do and it happens to combat ed. Improved endurance during the sexual performance and upper body strength are additional benefits of this useful pose. To maximize your effort, combine plank with one of the top male enhancement pills for super strong and hard erections. Here’s how to get into this posture:

• begin with the kneeling position with hands resting on your thighs

• bend forward with hands on the floor right in front of you

• raise the buttocks with knees still on the ground

• slide both feet backward and raise your knees making sure that your head, trunk, back, and legs are forming a straight line

• don’t bend your knees and elbows

• maintain the pose for a few seconds and release

3. Raised leg pose (uttanpadasana)
This particular yoga posture provides an intense workout to your core and engages glutes and quadriceps. As a result, you last longer in bed, particularly in the missionary position. Raised leg pose stretches the psoas and the hip flexor muscles, thus boosting your energy levels and increasing blood flow to the pelvic area, thus helping you beat ed. To make this pose, you should:

• lie flat on the back and breathe normally

• place hands by your sides with palms facing down

• inhale and lift the legs from the ground at about 45 to 60-degree angle

• hold the posture for 15-20 seconds

• exhale and return to the starting position

4. Seated forward bend (paschimottanasana)
Seated forward bend is yet another pose that combats ed and helps you last longer in bed. It does so by improving your endurance and strength while targeting perineal muscles, the group of muscles found between scrotum and anus. Here are the instructions:

• sit straight with legs extended and toes flexed towards you

• inhale as you’re raising arms over your head

• exhale and bend forward moving the chin towards your toes

• stretch out your arms and try to let them reach the furthest they can (preferably all the way to your toes) without making it feel uncomfortable or too painful

• inhale, lift your head and elongate the spine

• exhale while trying to bring the navel to your knees

• remain in that position for a few seconds and release

5. Bow pose (dhanurasana)
One of the most important characteristics of bow pose is the stimulation of reproductive organs. Besides ed, bow pose tackles premature ejaculation and intensifies your orgasms. To get into the bow pose, you should:

• lie on the stomach with feet hip-width apart and arms at your sides

• raise your legs so that feet are facing the direction of your head and hold your ankles

• inhale while lifting the chest off the floor

• pull your legs up and back

• stay in this position for 15-20 seconds and release

6. Half camel pose (ardha ustrasana)
Half camel pose improves your digestion and helps you tone the entire body. Also, it has a beneficial impact on a man’s urogenital system. In order to get into this incredibly simple pose, you should:

• being with kneeling position with hands on your thighs and knees apart

• rise up with arms beside your body

• hold the left ankle with right hand and stretch left arm in front of the head, like you’re pointing something at the horizon

• stay in this position for 30 seconds

• return to the initial pose and switch sides

7. Half moon pose (ardha chandrasana)
With this pose, you can improve stamina and endurance as well as tone your entire body. As you already know, stamina and endurance are crucial for your sexual health and performance which is why enhancement pills like endovex provide ed relief as well as a boost in endurance, strength, and other factors vital to your sex life. So, here’s the process:

• stand straight on your mat and bring right foot back so that you are at a low lunge with left leg

• your hands should be framing your left foot

• bring right hand to your right hip

• lift up right foot

• straighten your left leg out behind you

• rotate your right hip back stacking it on top of the left hip

• extend right hand toward the sky

• maintain this position for 5 deep breaths

• return to the starting position

Conclusion
Yoga isn’t just for women; it benefits male sexual health as well. Yoga improves your endurance, increases blood flow, and strengthens muscles thus allowing you to improve your sexual performance in a natural manner.

Vajikarana - Treatment For Infertility And Virility!

Vajikarana - Treatment For Infertility And Virility!

In Ayurveda classics, dharma (duty or ethical virtues), artha (wealth or material benefits and goals), kama (desire or lust) and moksa (salvation or liberation) when compiled together form ‘purusartha catustaya,’ which means the above four factors are the main goals of human life. Following these principles of life, one can attain salvation. To achieve this purusartha catustaya, it is important for a person to remain healthy. This is the reason why in Ayurveda health is accepted as the root of dharma, artha, kdma and moksa. Therefore, the first emphasis in Ayurveda is always on health protection.

Among the three goals, dharma, artha and kdma, the importance of kama (lust or desire) is above all. This world is said to be ‘agnisomatmaka,’ where ‘agni’ means ‘a female’ and ‘soma’ means ‘a male,’ and this whole world has originated from the union or fusion of both male (somd) and female (agni) energies, and an unabated tradition of life is based on this philosophy. This is the reason why some learned sages have accepted the importance of lust and described virilization or the science of aphrodisiacs as an independent branch among the eight branches of Ayurveda.

The following purposes of virilization are described in the classical texts by the learned

stages:

  • Conception of the best progeny.
  • To enhance sexual vigor and support sexual vitality.
  • To eradicate disorders of semen, and for better strength, energy and improved complexion.
  • For the purpose of duty as it enhances the capacity to work due to the satisfaction of sexual desire, affection and attachment, and enhances pleasure and energy in the body.
  • To sustain long-term youth as one remains free from mental anxiety, distress and tribulation.
  • The treatment of semen and diseases associated with the male genital organs.
  • At present, due to revolutionary changes in lifestyle, dietary habits and transformed life parameters, various complications related to intercourse and conception are commonly diagnosed in day to day life. In these hard times, this specific Ayurvedic treatment system can prove very useful. The need of the day is to rehabilitate virilization therapy based on modern scientific parameters.

   Definitions
Virilization includes the medicines, diet and lifestyle which enhance sexual vigor (like the horse), so that a person can undergo sexual indulgence repeatedly and satisfactorily or strengthen the frequency of intercourse.
In Ayurveda, ‘vaji’ means ‘horse,’ the symbol of sexual potency and performance. ‘Vaji’ also means ‘strength.’ Those methods and therapies which enhance the strength and nourish the semen, increase sexual ability and procreation power is ‘vajikarna.’

Lifestyle, diet and medicines including aphrodisiacs used in a proper way so as to enhance the energy, sexual vigor, complexion, ojas and strong reproductive power that facilitates the origin of better quality, fit, healthy, intelligent and brilliant progeny is known as virilization. Virilization and the use of aphrodisiacs is mainly prescribed for males.

Aphrodisiac substances: Aphrodisiacs include medicines, diet and lifestyle. Aphrodisiac substances are divided into three types on the basis of their use.

Sukrajanana (spermopoietic): These substances enhance the normal origin of sperm, but do not affect the discharge of semen.
1 Spermopoietic diet: This diet calls for the addition of clarified butter (ghee), milk, almond and other substances.
2 Spermopoietic lifestyle: One should engage in cheerfulness and good sleep.
3 Spermopoietic medicines: These include asparagus (satavari), musali, country mallow (bala), Astavarga medicines (vitality promoting medicines) and so on.

Sukrapravartana (Discharge of semen): These substances affect the discharge of semen but produce no effect on sperm generation. They only provoke seminal discharge resulting in excitation for coitus. Generally these substance have specific properties such that they are quickly absorbable or diffusible, produces looseness in the joints, hot in potency, penetrating and increases mobility. Do not use them for a longer duration.

1. Sukrapravartana diet: Black gram and so on.
2. Sukrapravartana lifestyle: The touch and memory of a female, to watch seductive movies and photographs for excitement.
3. Sukrapravartana medicines: Herbs which promote discharge of semen like pellitory (akarakara), cowhage (kaunca), alcohol and so on.

Types of Aphrodisiac Substances

Sukrajanana pravartana (that facilitates both spermopoiesis and discharge): These substances facilitate both spermopoiesis as well as discharge of semen; means it also contains property of excitation. These substances are mostly hot in potency, light, minute, viscous, slack, quickly absorbable or diffusible and having mobility.

1. Sukrajanana pravartaka diet: Milk processed with medicated herbs like wintercherry (asvagandha), ksirapaka, rice and rice pudding cooked with aromatic substances.
2. Sukrajanana pravartana lifestyle: That which promotes spermopoiesis and discharge like walks in the moonlight, near river banks and beautiful flower valleys or other such romantic places or listening to melodious music.
3. Sukrajanana pravartana medicines: Medicines which promotes spermatopoiesis and discharge like musk (kasturi), Indian hemp (bhanga), snakewood (kucala), wild orchid (salamamisri), Himalayan marsh orchid (salamapanja) and so on.

 Incompatibility for virilization
Incompatible for virilization as per the age: According to Acarya Caraka, aphrodisiacs should not be used without any specific disease and before marriage. The age of virilization is after 16 years and up to 70 years. It should not be used in childhood and youth. Sexual indulgence at a young age causes emaciation of the body just as a pond containing less water dries up quickly.
Incompatible for virilization according to marital status: Coitus among married couples is also permitted within limits in a balanced manner. Our societal norms does not permit coitus for an unmarried male. Therefore, according to Ayurveda they are not suitable for the use of aphrodisiacs.
Incompatible for virilization as per the principles of balance and harmony: A person lacking physical and mental coordination, an unsteady brain and mind, over indulgence in sexual thoughts, with strong lust for sex and addicted people should not undergo virilization therapy.
Incompatible for virilization as per the ailments: A person suffering from venereal diseases such as gonorrhoea, syphilis, AIDS and so on should not indulge in sex. Therefore, they must not use aphrodisiacs until completely cured, because these diseases are contagious and can be transmitted from one person to another through sexual contact.

Six Essential Oils For ED!

Six Essential Oils For ED!

Ginger slices next to bottle of essential oil.
Ginger is popular for treating a wide range of conditions, including male infertility.
The evidence underlying the use of essential oils in treating ED is often anecdotal, but some empirical work has been conducted to suggest certain oils may be helpful:

Ginger: Ginger is used widely in alternative medicine for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. A study in 2014 found that daily ginger extract supplementation in mice stimulated the production of sperm after 22 days compared to a control group. Other studies found that ginger extracts reduced male infertility in rats.

Cinnamon: Research in rats has found that cinnamon extracts could promote reproductive health and stimulate the production of sperm and testosterone, to improve sexual functioning.
Watermelon seed: Watermelon seed extracts have antioxidant properties and can protect and promote sperm health in rats. A 2013 study found that the daily administration of watermelon seed extract in male rats for 28 days increased their sperm concentration and motility compared to a control group.

Aloe vera: Aloe vera is widely used in both traditional and modern medicine for several purposes. Research in mice has found that Aloe vera extracts may be useful for treating sexual dysfunctions as it can stimulate cell division and increase testosterone production, which has the effect of increasing sperm cell count.

Nutmeg: Nutmeg extracts have long been used in the traditional medicine of South Asia (Unani medicine) to treat sexual dysfunction in males. One study found nutmeg to be associated with higher levels of sexual activity in rats.

Clove: Clove extracts are another traditional aphrodisiac used in Unani medicine, as suggested by one study that found a sustained increase in the sexual activity of male rats that consumed clove extracts.

Currently, there are no conclusive studies to demonstrate that essential oils can effectively treat ED in human males because much of the empirical research has been conducted in rodents rather than humans.

Essential oils can be toxic and should never be taken by mouth. Anyone considering using essential oils for ED should speak with a certified aromatherapist first. Essential oils should be diffused into the air or applied diluted in a carrier oil before applying to the skin. While essential oils can have adverse side effects, when used correctly, they are considered safe and could still have benefits for ED.

Aside from essential oils, there are other alternative treatments for ED that people can pursue. Talk to a healthcare provider for the best treatment as ED can be a symptom of other problems, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, or prostate issues.

7 Most Effective Ayurvedic Treatments For Infertility!

7 Most Effective Ayurvedic Treatments For Infertility!

Ayurveda is a time tested warehouse of medical wisdom and does offer treatment options for this problem too!

Causes Of Infertility According To Ayurveda:

Infertility is often spoken about in whispers. There is still a lot of stigma attached to this increasingly common medical issue. Yes, infertility is medical problem and needs medical intervention.

According to Ayurveda, infertility occurs when a person’s reproductive tissue or Shukra dhatu, remains bereft of nutrition. This can be caused due to poor digestion and because of certain toxins in the body. Some of the other causes of infertility according to Ayurveda are:

  1. Anxiety
  2. Depression
  3. Insomnia
  4. Spicy and Salty food

Ayurvedic Treatment For Infertility:
Ayurveda takes a holistic view about health and treats the body as a whole instead of an individual ailment. Once you visit a good Ayurvedic doctor, he’ll ask you many questions before diagnosing you. Once the doctor is certain of what ails your body, he’ll be ready to treat you!

The main focus of Ayurvedic treatment for infertility is to ensure the proper transformation of food into nutrients that can move to the ‘shukra dhatu’. Some of the used treatment for infertility in Ayurveda are:

1. Swedanam: Ayurvedic doctors use this method to induce sweating in patients suffering from infertility with the help of heavy blankets or exercises. This is done to flush toxins out of the body.

2. Vamanam: This somewhat uncomfortable but ultimately detoxing Ayurvedic therapy induces vomiting to rid the body of undigested food.

3. Banyan Tree Bark: Many Ayurvedic doctors prescribe the use of dried banyan tree bark powder, mixed with sugar, to treat infertility issues.

4. Ashwagandha Churna And Kapikacchu: Both these medicines are known to increase sperm count and also improve its quality.

5. Phala Gritam: This is an Ayurvedic medicine to treat female infertility. Consumed in the form of liquefied butter mixed with milk, this medicine is touted to treat functional problems but does not treat structural deficiencies.

6. Guduchi, Gokshura, And Triphala Churna: These medicines are used to clear the blockages in the body, which prevents the production of the shukra dhatu.

7. ShatavariThis is only woman medicine, used female infertility treatment in Ayurveda.

Diet To Tackle Infertility:
According to Ayurveda, a person dealing with infertility needs to follow a strict diet. Apart from avoiding spicy and excessively salty food, Ayurveda recommends including the following foods in the patients diet:

  1. Almonds
  2. Fresh Vegetables
  3. Whole Grains
  4. Dairy products such as milk
  5. Fresh Fruits
  6. Dried Fruits

All these foods help provide nutrition to the shukra dhatu, which in turn can help a person conceive.

Points To Remember:
It is tough to deal with infertility issues and at time, you may feel helpless, but Ayurveda does offer of ray of hope. Here are some tips to get you going:

Accept:
No matter the form of treatment you seek, the first thing you need to do is accept that you have a problem. Living in denial will not help you get pregnant.

Seek Help:
If you have been trying to conceive for more than a year now, seek medical help.

Don’t Blame Yourself:
Infertility is common, effecting one in 10 couples.

Speak Out:
Don’t keep it to yourself. Infertility is not a curse. Talk to your friends so they can offer emotional help.

Ayurveda For PCOS!

Ayurveda For PCOS!

Ayurveda believes that three ‘doshas’ or forces of energy – vatta, pitta and kapha – circulate in the body and facilitate important bodily functions. In healthy individuals, all three doshas are in perfect harmony. According to Ayurveda, any imbalance in the three forces of energies can lead to diseases.

Ayurvedic texts mention the presence of Shukra dhatu (semen) in both men and women. Shukra dhatu plays a vital role in maintaining the health of the reproductive system. Shukra dhatu can be considered as a combination of androgen (male hormone) and estrogen (female hormone). Any imbalance in Shukra dhatu can cause infertility.

An imbalance in the doshas can affect the efficiency of the Shukra dhatu. When “doshas” affect the efficiency of the Shukra dhatu in women, it leads to excess production of male hormones and other symptoms of PCOS such as the appearance of cysts in the ovaries.

PCOS treatment in ayurveda, just like any other ayurvedic treatment, focuses on correcting the imbalance of the doshas or forces of energy.

  • Opt for herbal teas like spearmint tea or green tea
  • Eat healthy fats like ghee

PCOS Treatment In Ayurveda: Final Thoughts
Ayurveda is not only about herbal medicines. In fact, the basic philosophy of Ayurveda advises on healthy ways to live life. The word “Ayurveda” itself means the “Science of Life.” I always say medicines are a last resort for treating any condition. In order to be healthy, you need to eat right, exercise regularly and manage your stress levels.

For the herbs to do their job effectively, you need to take care of what you are eating and how you are living your life. If you do so, there’s no stopping you from reversing PCOS or any other lifestyle disease.
