Hello lybrate-user, If you wish to feel energetic, less slee[py and perform well in the coming board exams ,follow the following tips: EXAM TIPS 1)Eat a healthy breakfast every morning. You should have a goal of eating breakfast every single morning, even if you're not feeling hungry or are running out of time. Eating breakfast will not only give you more energy in the mornings, but it has been shown to lower stress. You shouldn't eat anything too greasy or heavy; just eat enough to make yourself feel powered up. Examples are: A bowl of milk and cornflakes, one banana, 2 boiled eggs and a grilled vegetable sandwhich. 2)Eat every 3-4 hours. Even if you have an incredibly busy schedule, you can always take a minute to eat a snack, especially if you have one on hand. Instead of eating three big meals that leave you stuffed, have three medium-sized meals along with two snacks, one in between breakfast and lunch, and one between lunch and dinner, and see how much your energy levels improve. Examples are: Nuts like almond, raisins, walnuts. Flavoured yoghurt, bowl of fruit or a glass of fresh fruit juice, berries. 3)Avoid eating oily and heavy meals, rice as these foods need a lot of energy to get digested and leaves you sluggish. Instead eat steamed food like Idli, poha, upma, multigrain sandwich with juice. 4)Drink lots of water. It's important to stay hydrated throughout the day. Even mild dehydration can lead you to be fatigued, so wherever you go, make sure to bring a water bottle. Drink atleast 7-8 glasses water. 5)Limit your caffeine intake after noon. Though caffeine can really boost your energy levels during a few hours after you drink it, if you have caffeine after noon or even in the evening, it will disrupt your sleep. 6)Go outside. Take a break and go outside, breathe some fresh air, and let the sun hit your face. Spending just 20-30 minutes outside each day will have a dramatic impact on your energy level. 7)Follow the 50: 10 rule: Study for 50 min and give yourself a break for 10 min to assimilate what you have read. Also take a power nap immediately after lunch as you feel most drowsy then 8)Smell lavender. Have a lavender plant or lavender lotion on hand so you can smell it in moments of need or when stressed out. It's been known to help students perform better on tests, and it has the power to make you more energetic throughout the day. 9).Destress: Listen to music, take a 15 min short refreshing walk in the garden nearby, splash cold water on your face.

Dear lybrate-user ji, namaskar, yes. Long hour sitting is known to cause postural backache. The solution is to avoid it. But whenever possible after 1 or 2 hrs. You should do forward-backward and side bending of the back as well as turning and twisting for 5-10 times. It takes 2-3 minutes only. Also you should learn spine exercises at a physiotherapy center and do them regularly in the morning for 15-20 minutes. You may also use a ls belt while working. When ever you have pain. Do hot fomentation and apply any gel / balm and take ultracet tab. Sos (as and if required) for pain killing. You will certainly settle with regular exercises. Take care.

Apply knee brace above knee and below knee for one month. If after one month you feel instability, locking, and pain then arthroscopic acl reconstruction is one option.

Hi I can understand your problem. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold fomentation. # learn posture care exercise. # use lumber support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same. Too much forward bending of neck over phone for a long time, would lead to straining of neck muscles, posture deformities, continuous pain, neck stiffness, migraine & back pain.
Warning for smart phone users: Don't bend your neck beyond 20 sec continuously, otherwise need to face serious problems.
Prevention: The pain can be avoided when mobile users correct their holding position to their eye level, so as to decrease bending over on to mobile.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Are you feeling acute pain at one particular point or generally is it pain, numbness etc towards the outer aspect of thigh? also is there any associated swelling also present? my initial advice will be: rest to the affected part which means to stop your physical activities till pain subsides - ice packs at home for local application 3-4 times in a day - ultrasonics or laser therapy for local application at painful area - gentle analgesic like tab etohine or tab paracetamol whichever suits you for 3-5 days - local analgesic spray like dynapar qps spray for local application after fomentation. There are multiple treatment measures for crps but what was the initiating factor in your case? also since crps is a complicated entity it is best managed by a physician in person as it requires physical therapy to prevent joint stiffness and contractures, medications to deal with osteoporosis, sympathetic blockers or sometimes surgical sympathectomy, and other medications for pain relief as well. Knee surgery-total knee replacement (tkr) is quite safe & gives uniformly good results, in our hands. We have well equipped centers in delhi. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Surgery should be done when patient is still active & will be able to take benefit of surgery. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Your description of ailment is not very clear. Any way take caldikind plus (mankind) 1tab odx10days paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days do knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.
