You are aware diabetes occurs because there is either less insulin or there is resistance to its action. Therefore, the best drug is insulin injection. But in some patients (majority of t2dm) oral antidiabetic drugs control the blood sugar very well at least for initial years of the disease.

We all are aware of the fact that our height increases up to a particular age and then it comes to a halt. Height increases up to the age of 18years in women and up to the age of 20 years in men. Increase in height is attributed to the production of growth hormone, called the HGH( Human Growth Hormone), which is secreted by the pituitary gland called the master gland of our body. It is rather difficult to increase height after reaching adulthood as the production of these hormones slowly stops. In most cases, the epiphyses of the long bones are fused as the last bits of cartilaginous tissue in the bones turn into solid hard bones. This prevents any further growth in longer bones. However, if the hormones are released naturally, increase in height can be observed. How to Increase Height? It is really difficult to increase height after the age of 25, primarily due to the fact that the bones stop growing at this age and the production of growth hormones in our body declines and finally stops. However, with a few tricks and tips, it is possible to add a few inches to your height or at least appear taller. Natural Methods to Increase your Height Natural methods to increase our height are all based on sound scientific methods and they do work if we follow them. These methods do not claim to give drastic results because these don’t interfere with our endocrine system and functioning of our body. These methods are the best way to try to increase your height. The pituitary gland releases human growth hormone (HGH). This is responsible for height increase. So, take 5min. Medication on the pituitary gland and stimulate this will helpful to release growth hormone. The pituitary gland is located in the center of the skull, just behind the bridge of the nose, is about the size of a pea. You see the effect of meditation. So try it and increase your height such a magic, but scientific way. Exposure to sunlight Sunlight is one of the most important sources of vitamin D. Vitamin D contributes to your height in the greatest way because of its effect on bone growth. Exposure to sunlight allows your body to get the required dose of Vitamin D. Sunbathing, especially early in the morning or late afternoon, can be very beneficial because the ultraviolet radiation is at its lowest during this time. Growth stunting factors People should refrain from abusing substances like alcohol and some narcotics etc..As these substances dehydrate us and they also interfere with our growth, metabolism resulting in stunted growth and development. People who are trying to gain weight should moderate their intake of caffeine as it interferes with calcium absorption, which in turn is very important for our growth. Stress Stress is the is the root cause of many diseases and it also has a negative effect on our growth by interfering with the working of our endocrine system. Immunity Build up your immunity as a sound immune system means a healthy body and a healthy and happy body means time for growth.

KNEE PAIN- HOW TO TAKE CARE

Wear and tear of body is inevitable. And joints are
the worst affected as we age, out of which the knees rule.

A popping sound with pain in the knee, swelling and inability to
put weight on the leg indicate a knee sprain or a tear. Fractures,
dislocations, cartilage injuries,arthritic changes or bursitis are
painful enough. But how to avoid knee injuries and pain? Knee pain
can improve with some good body mechanics like change in movement,
ergonomics, exercise and care.

1. Never ignore pain. Pain is one of the first warning signs that
something is amiss. After a few days of home treatment if the knee
pain worsens or does not improve it is time to call the doctor!

2. Get rest. Rest is a must if you are a very physically active
person. And all the more so if you are above 30.

3. Weight control is mandatory if your knees hurt. Being overweight
increases your chances of knee pain especially the arthritic one as
the excess load causes the degeneration of the cartilage. You can
try walking or a stationary bike for exercise without traumatising
the joints.

4. Too much of physical activity including strenuous exercises can
cost you your knees. Straining the body on the pretext of
weight loss, a sudden increase in the duration of the activity or a
rapid increase in the intensity are unwise. Always warm up with
stretches and cool down adequately.

5. If you have duck feet (walking with feet turned out) you are
more susceptible to knee pain.

6. Be careful while lifting weights as they are only bad for your
back but also for your knees. Bend carefully putting the knees back
and heels down. Put the weight on your muscles and off your knees.

7. Discard hard shoes but use soft breathing flexible shoes
recommended for the desired activity.

8. Know that some cholesterol lowering drugs, antacids and the like
may cause knee pain.

Knee injuries need not remain forever. Time and rest can heal most
of them and not often do they call for surgeries.

I am suffering from chronic cold. My body very sensitive in catching cold. Whenever I eat something cold like ice cream, Cold drinks, cold coffee or even some cold water I immediately catch cold or sometimes mild viral fever the next day itself. dear friend, as you know try to avoid cold weather and cold food. gargling with Luke warm water with little amount of salt in this. twice daily will be helpful. take Sitopaladi churna 5 gms with honey three times in a day. try to tell your blood test report for hb% , TLC, dlc and ESR.

Hi lybrate-user here are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit. Dear get ur eyesight checked and haemoglobin test done...anaemia is one of the cause of tiredness. B/W follow the tips for hairfall they will help u...:: Follow the tips for 1 month :: 1.Mix 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 1 tablespoon mustard oil, and 1 cup yogurt. Apply this to the hair 30 minutes to 1 hour before washing the head and hair. 2.Soak 50 gm methi dana in 2 cups of water overnight, next day in the morning make the paste and apply on scalp for 15 minutes. 3..Mix powdered Indian gooseberry (amla) and sesame seeds in equal amounts. Take 1 teaspoon twice a day with water. 4.Massage with bhrigraj oil thrice a week. 5.Wash hair regularly 2-3 times a week with a mild shampoo. 6.Avoid scratching the scalp with hands or any other objects. 7.Avoid spicy, greasy, hot and penetrating foods, junk food, and aerated drinks. 8.Have food with good nutritive value; include fiber-rich foods, salads, fruits, and lentils

Hi Sir, My brother had cough & fever from Sept-Nov 2015 he was on Antibiotics, Paracetamol and cough syrup for same time but didn't got any relief finally done Chest CT scan in Nov and found Pleural Effusion, pleural fluid aspirate done on 24th Nov but whole fluid didn't not aspirated because patient get vertigo problem during aspiration so doctor stop aspiration, from 24th Nov TB treatment started. He got mild relief from cough and fever But after 15-20 days he again faced severe cough and mild fever, again CT scan and Chest sonography done and found some pleural fluid. Again, pleural fluid aspiration done and TB treatment continue, from that day he started getting relief day by day. Now is feeling absolutely fine. TB treatment is continue from Nov till today. From April he started feeling Hip shoulder back knee and Feet pain, some blood test done and found Vitamin B12 & Vitamin D is very much deficient. Both vitamin B12 and D injections and capsules Tablets supplement started and got felling better but didn't get any relief in Feet pain. Since last 40 days he having pain, pin needles and burning sensation in both feet.As per doctor prescription all types pain killer reliever like Dynapar SR, Zobid Zerodol SP etc taken but till today didn't got any relief in feet pain, even pain killer didn't work for 1 hour. We took opinion from Orthopedic and Neuro Surgeon and done MRI of Spine and Feet, MRI is normal as per MRI report but Feet pain and burning is still persist Now we consult with Neurologist, he said it look that it's Neuropathy due to TB medicine Isonizad. He said to consult TB physician and stop taking Isonizad and he prescribed Tab Pregabalin, Zen 100, Ultracet and Deep Senz ointment. We again consult with our TB physician, he said TB drug Isonizad can't be withdrawal because if we stop it TB May relapse later. As per doctor TB treatment will continue for more 3 months i. E. Till the end August Feet pain burning pin needles sensation is still persist. So now we are very confused and can't understand what to do. We have following questions 1 Please advise us what to do 2 Is Neuropathy is permanent? 3 Can neuropathy can be cured? 4 Can we stop Isonizad? Thanks & regards.

Neuropathy is usually irreversible, but can be benefited after some time and taking few drugs with tb drugs to prevent further neuropathy. Isoniazid can be stopped but it may weaken the course of treatment and the chances of getting tb again may increase with a weak course.

Hi I am 64, retired person, have undergone cabg 13 years ago. In dec 14, I experienced angina again. Ecg, tmt and ct angiogram confirmed that there are new blocks in the grafts. I have been advised to take vasodilators with other routine medicines. Another surgery or angioplasty were ruled out. My query is how long should I survive on vasodilators. Wouldn't I become resistant to this drug after some time. Is second surgery possible in my case. Is there no other option at all. For your kind information I walk 40 minutes daily without any significant pain though I feel some discomfort initially for a few minutes. I carry sorbitrate tablets always with me. Will this tablet help in an emergency. I would be grateful for your kind advice. With best regards.
