So have broccoli, cabbage, spinach, prunes, peaches, grapes, bananas, pumpkin, carrot, peanuts and legumes. This doesn?t mean your bones are deformed but the muscles supporting the bones become lax and stretched out to a point that body assumes the posture that you are most comfortable in. So even when you stand you are slouching that makes you look shorter. Yoga can?t change your skeletal growth but it can surely give you good posture and alignment that makes you look tall. Spine lengthening and good posture forms the core of yoga. Doing the mountain pose, will help to strengthen and lengthen your spine and give you a good height. Suryanamaskar or Sun Salutation is a great way to increase height and stay fit. The twelve poses are done in a cyclic manner to strengthen muscles and improve posture. If you don?t have too much time on your hands, you can just practice Suryanamaskar for 10-20 times each day. Trikosana or triangle pose is great way to achieve good height and body balance. The parivrittatrikosana or reverse triangle pose also helps in gaining height. Vrikasana or tree pose help in getting balance and harmony. Tree pose also helps to stretch the muscles of the body. You can also practice breathing and meditation to calm your mind and de-stress. Since a mind free of depression and stress helps in proper growth. Water flushes out toxins from your body and aids in digestion. Therefore, at least drinking 8 glasses of water every day is recommended for a better health

Hi, thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc and with no other associated constitutional symptoms like evening rise in temperature, loss of weight, excessive sweating at night etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. Take a tablespoon of honey daily with warm water. It is an excellent home remedy for obesity Take one teaspoonful of fresh honey and mix with a half of lime juice in a glass of lukewarm water. Take several times a day at regular intervals. You can fast on this drink during the day without the loss of energy. Highly effective in obesity.

Repeated washing with shampoo should be avoided. You can wash with water regularly and using shampoo should be at 4 to 5 days interval. Or else the chemicals in shampoo will affect.

Hello, Gaining weight is a slow process which requires patience and dedication! The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points ( if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Good sources of protein include lean meat, fish and poultry, in addition to eggs, whole grains, dairy products and legumes. -Drink more calories. Try drinking a large glass of orange juice in the mornings (along with your normal breakfast). Drink a glass or two of full-cream milk throughout the day.Protein shakes will help you to gain muscle mass, particularly if you're working out. -Have 6 small and frequent meals in a day. -Gain muscle mass. It's a good idea to continue to exercise while you attempt to gain weight the healthy way. Hye, Thanks for the query.     For a hypothyroid condition there is no specific or special food. And it is best advised to have a diet planned as per the thyroid levels, lifestyle and history. Though you can follow some guidelines - Have small frequent meals. Do not fast for long hours. Avoid a very heavy meal at one time. Avoid fruit juices, aerated drinks or sugarcane juice, honey, jaggery or sugar if having insulin resistance. You just have to avoid raw, unprocessed soya, raw peanuts and raw cabbage. Avoid junk foods. Exercise and stay active. Do not attempt to try out too many remedies as you could go into lowered metabolism. Sleep well.            It's all a matter of discipline.

Wash your face 3-4 times in a day. Wear cotton cloths. Avoid oily, spicy & junk food. Add fruits & fruit juices in your daily diet. Don't smoke. Don't take alcohal. Avoid tea & coffee. Take homoeopathic medicines-- rx kali brom 200/ od 4-4 drops daily for 15 days. Berberis aquafolium q / bd 15-15 drops + 1/2 cup water daily for 15 days. Treatment duration 4 months. Consult after 15 days.

What medications are best for the treatment of asthma? what are their side effects?

Herbal medicines are best to treat without any side effect. Take 11 guava leaves, 11 black pepper, 1 cup milk and one cup water. Put all of them in pot and boil it well, when it reduced to one cup, drink in empty stomach. Take this daily for at least six months or a year. 2.Boil cumin seeds in water and inhale the steam. It helps dilate the bronchial passage. 3.Take 5 gm of ginger, black pepper, cardamom, clove, cinnamon, turmeric and 30 gm of sugar. Grind the mix to a powder. Take half to one teaspoonful and mix it nicely with honey. Take it twice a day 4.Pulses like old rice (rice which is stored for at least one year is called old), wheat, barley, kulattha, mung beans, arhar beans, etc . should be consumed. 5.Honey, warm drinks like herbal teas, spice teas are also okay. 6.Sprouts, nuts and seeds can be taken in moderate amount. 7.The heavy foods and those which make ama should be avoided. This mainly includes milk products like cheese, curd, butter milk, creams, and banana, etc. 8.Oily, greasy and fried foods which are difficult to digest should be avoided. 9.White flour and white sugar products should be avoided. 10.In addition, try to avoid the cold foods, cold drinks and other refrigerated things. 11.Avoid excessive or physically demanding exercise. Yoga and Pranayama can be helpful.

Pubic hairs can be removed by hair removal creams. But these creams tend to have little burning effect and special care should be taken so that they do not touch over the sensitive inner part of vagina which will be painfull. Trimmers are also available in market and are good alternative.

Walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regularly massage head and hair with coconut oil, almond oil (depending upon your scalp type) 1 to 3 times a week. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you fit and young! Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica hair conditioner as well after every head wash.

Take aloe Vera juice with luke warm water 3 times a day... take high fiber diet and salad . Do brisk walk daily... Don't skip ur breakfast and meals.... take plenty of fruit... increase water intake..... take luke warm water before nd after meals.....

I used to go to gym before. I had an accident and broke my ankle and added up 15 kgs to myself. And when starting to workout after a long period I started with heavy weights and strained my lower back. This could result in slip disc .Your back muscles needs to be strengthen step by step by only by qualified and experienced physiotherapist and you do not have to bend your spine to lift heavy weight rather first bend your knees and than lift weight.
