Hi, since your taking us for 6 session and there is no relief I would like to tell u dat d origin of the pain can b something else. In any orthopedic conditions der can be problem in one part of your body and referred pain to some other part of your body which is very common in heel and wrist. I wud like to tell u to visit any McKenzie therapist in your area to find d root cause of the pain. Once d root cause is found out your prob can get solved completely.

(Bulge of L 4-5 I.V Disc causing narrowing of neural foramina) What was that mean? please describe it to me, its really so important to me.

MSPT (Master of Physical Therapy)
Physiotherapist,
your spinal cord is protected by spinal bones surrounding. these surrounding bones are small bones arranged one over the other starting from your neck to lower back. the neural foramina is the space in all spinal bones inside which the spinal cord runs. at each attachment of the small bones the spinal nerves branches out which supplies different segments of the body (for example spinal nerves branching at neck region supply neck and upper limbs). there a gel like substance in between each spinal bone giving lubrication to move on each other and giving cushioning effect while we walk, jump, ride etc. these gel like substance due many reasons may bulge out from the joint and enter the space in which the spinal cord is travelling. this in turn reduce the space of the space(narrowing of neural foramina) which pinches the spinal cord at that area. this will cause pain in the segment which is supplied by the spinal nerve coming out at that level. to reduce the narrowing the bulging disc should be treated. there is effective treatment for disc bulge in Physiotherapy.

I believe that you are having osteoporosis. You require several steps to get rid of the problem. Over and above increased milk intake and sunlight daily, you require to start general exercises, deep breathing exercises and undergo daily body and mind relaxation. If possible, undergo Dry Needling under physiotherapist.

If you r a student or working individual, who sits continuously for long hours everyday, then you'll get back pain. Mostly it may be mechanical pain due to poor posture, but its better if you get urself examined by an orthopaedic doctor or a physiotherapist.

Try few things for temporary relief of your back pain: -avoid activities that require bending forward at the waist or stooping. -try to avoid lifting objects if at all possible. -sit as little as possible, and only for short periods of time (10 to 15 minutes). -sit with a back support (such as a rolled-up towel) at the curve of your back. -keep your hips and knees at a right angle. (use a foot rest or stool if necessary.) your legs should not be crossed and your feet should be flat on the floor. -Activity is often the best medicine for back pain. “Simple exercises like walking can be very helpful -Strengthen your core. Most people with chronic back pain would benefit from stronger abdominal muscles. -Apply heating pads to comfort tender trunks. Developing an individualized exercise plan is essential to managing chronic back pain. Please get help from a physiotherapist for further assessment and management of your back pain.

There are new treatment options. One option is mini incision surgery. But instruments needed in this are costly and not available everywhere. Other option is PRP injection. But as steroid injections have already been given, less chances of good outcome with PRP. Please visit Sports Medicine Specialist. Dr Prashant Parate. Shoulder and Knee specialist. Treatment for lower back pain depends upon the patient's history and the type and severity of pain. The vast majority of lower back pain cases get better within six weeks without surgery, and lower back pain exercises are almost always part of a treatment plan. Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -stop normal physical activity for the first few days. This will help relieve your symptoms and reduce any swelling in the area of the pain. -Apply heat or ice to the painful area. One good method is to use ice for the first 48 to 72 hours, and then use heat. Take pain relievers medicine. --While sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -Find a mattress with back support. A good mattress should provide support for the natural curves and alignment of the spine. Medium-firm mattresses usually provide more back pain relief than firm mattresses. -Do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back for the first 6 weeks after the pain begins. -Avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -Good posture plays a key role in your spine health, helping to prevent additional back and neck pain and even injuries to spinal structures. Try to be aware of your posture and make good posture part of your normal routine. -head up, shoulders back, rear tucked under -Stand and walk with correct posture -Sit with support -Lift and carry carefully -And finally, keep moving:-Maintaining a static position for too long—more than twenty or thirty minutes at a time—is hard on the back. Prolonged static posture can slowly deplete elasticity from the tissues. By simply moving—be it a change of position, a stretch, or a short walk—the tissue elasticity needed to protect your joints can be restored and the associated discomfort reduced. -Stretching and strengthening exercises are important. But, starting these exercises too soon after an injury can make your pain worse. -Some Physiotherapy treatment like IFT current can give you relief. -Consult a Physiotherapist for detail assessment and management of your back pain. Best wishes.
