Levitracetam drug is a broad spectrum antiepileptic drug, daily dose is up to 3000gm, you have taken only 1500gm, nothing to worry, it's the best tolerated drug with minimal side effects you wait for atleast 12 hrs to take the next dose as the drug is eliminated from the body in the time of 8 hrs it's t half time.

I get acute pain in my right temple. This can happen any time of the day or night. I take Suminat 50 mg tablet and it goes in 20 minutes. This has been going on for last 6 months. My Doctor says its Migraine. Is there is no other solution.

Is Sleep Paralysis a Symptom of a Serious Problem? Yesterday left side full not sense (top to bottom like head, hand and leg) this is 1st time happening to me.

MBBS, MHS, MD - Neurology (USA), Fellowship In Epilepsy, Clinical Attachment In Movement Disorders
Neurologist, Mumbai
Usually sleep paralysis affects the entire body and is part of narcolepsy which includes cataplexy (neck quickly losing power e.f. While Laughing) and excessive daytime sleepiness. Since your episode was so asymmetric you should be very intensively evaluated to rule out a transient loss of blood supply to one part of your brain (a transient ischaemic attack or TIA)

My daughter suffered by epilepsy. Only two times one year before. Dr. prescribed to take, 500 mg levipil twice per day. morning 500 mg eve 500mg. Since one year seizure had not come. She is studying CA. CAN WE STOP TO TAKE MEDICINE. GANESH.

M.Sc - Psychology, MBA (Healthcare)
General Physician, Kangra
Sir you should not stop medicine. She should take the medicine ideally for one more year then the medicine will be tapered off and stopped. If she stops now she has a great chance of having recurrence of seizure then she will hv to start again that too for another two yrs. Its good dat she is seizure free for one years and try not to miss a single dose for one more year.

Are you sure of the diagnosis. Is your pain throbbing in nature or electrical current like. Is it continuous for many hours or intermittent episodic.
