Get an xray of lumbar spine done. Ap, lat view. His pain may be associated with lumbar spondylosis. It can also be simply muscular. In any case you need to visit a physio therapy department near your place. They will guide him some stretching exercises for the muscular pain and some strengthening exercises for back pain.

1) Do massage with warm sesame oil or suitable oil for 15 min., afterwards take hot fomentation for 10 min. 2) Start natural calcium supplement. 3) Do regular stretching exercise

Hello lybrate-user, Not all herniated discs require surgery. The decision to operate is taken by a informed spine surgeon after thoroughly evaluating your problem clinically and examining you. Only if there is correlation of clinical and MRI findings and you have tried non operative methods, should you consider getting operated. Microscopic discectomy is a better option than open discectomy as it leads to less blood loss, faster recovery, less post operative pain and earlier return to work. Regards.

So I went to the gym for a month this past June and developed this pain at the back of my heel which used to persistent but now it still hasn't vanished and it not regular. It's comes and goes at times. It could be something related to back and posture. It is there sometimes on walking up in the morning and goes away after a while. Also the I feel mild pain when I press the back of my heel. I google a lot abt it could be achilles tendonitis. What do you think? How can I know for sure what it is? Could be a fracture? P.s in the gym I used to do cardio everyday treadmill cycling and crosswalk .is it bcz of that or lifting weights? Some clarity would help a lot.

If you have pain in both the TA (Tendo Achilles) then it is due to the ligament injury or probably any neglected injury of the past, either a cut injury or being trapped in a cycle while sitting behind. Just rule out the cause and the best treatment would be to keep ice in a tub (extremely cold) and automatically it will heal. Also wear MCR chappals to reduce the pain.

There are two common reasons for your symptoms. It may be Impingement syndrome with rotator cuff tendinitis, or a Adhesive Capsulitis of Shoulder. It is important to assess the direction and plane of movement restriction. You should also check your blood sugar levels, and uric acid levels; if it is a recurrent problem.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Inform after 10 days.

You must lose some weight Weight reduction can not be done overnight. You have to take it as a way of life. Do Diet control. no sugar in tea,coffee,milk etc. NO sweets Take small frequent meals. When you get used to it, skip one meal. Then after 3 months skip another meal, & so on? You should do non weight bearing Yoga exercises. Do not ignore It. could be beginning of a serious problem.
