Going by your description, looks like you are having stains or tartar accumulation on your teeth. You would benefit from oral prophylaxis and scaling.

I have yellow teeth, I need to clean my teeth and I want white teeth please tell me remedies to cure it?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

I have yellow teeth, I need to clean my teeth and I want white teeth please tell me remedies to cure it?
There are many causes of yellow or discolored teeth. A few of the most common:------------- 1. Drinks: Coffee and red wine cause major damage to teeth. But other drinks with high acidity, such as soda, juices and even sports drinks can cause staining on the teeth. Even white wine is not far behind in staining our teeth yellow, because its tannins and acidic nature wear away at the tooth enamel. These Acidic drinks lowers the Ph of teeth below 6 thus causing corrosive wear and tear of teeths.--------------- 2. Certain Foods: Colored candies, popsicles and other bright foods can cause staining over time. Think of it this way – if your tongue turns a bright shade of blue, chances are your teeth are getting some of that discoloration, too. Even healthy foods such as berries (blueberries, cranberries, raspberries) can stain teeth. Ketchup, curry and other sauces can cause staining problems over time, too.----------------- 3, Natural Aging Process: Quite simply, teeth yellow over time. It’s a natural part of the aging process that the white protective coatings wear down over time. So the longer you have your teeth, the more likely they are to become yellow or discolored.---------------- 4. Most of us are guilty of at least some of the above (and none of us can stop time). But the good news is that even if red wine is one of your vices and your teeth look yellower lately, there are things you can do to bring back the white.---------------- 5. How to make Teeth white------------ (a) Avoid Certain Foods/Drinks When Possible: We’re not asking you to give up your morning coffee, just to reduce the intake of the above foods as much as possible. Sometimes simply being aware can help us make better choices.-------- (b) Drink Water: After you’ve consumed a tooth-staining food or drink try to immediately follow it with a glass of water. Swirling water around your mouth can drastically help clear away the acids or staining. This simple step is free and easy, and can drastically help reduce tooth discoloration.---------------- (c) Proper Dental Hygiene: Proper brushing, flossing and regular dental checkups help keep teeth healthy for a lifetime. Develop these habits early and you’re less likely to have dental problems down the line.------------- (d) Teeth Whitening: The good news is that there are many options available to whiten teeth. Some can be done at home while others can take help of Homoeopathic medicines.------------ Homoeopathic medicine------------ HEKLA LAVA TOOTH POWDER (WHEEZAL) Scrub teeth daily night------------ IN morning use any good quality tooth paste----------------- RINSEOUT (SBL) Gargles 20 drops in 20 ml luke warm water. Gargles 3 times daily while holding water for 20 seconds in mouth esp. After meals.------------

I have sensitivity in lower front teeth for six months. Wat is the treatment. And remedy to solve it.
Hello Ms. Lybrate-user sorry to know that you have been suffering for the past 6 months sensitive teeth tooth has a layer on the top called enamel which is a protective layer preventing leakage into the layers beneath this. The next layer below this enamel is called dentine, which is a very sensitive layer. So when you say your tooth is sensitive which means that your enamel is probably missing in few areas or thin in few areas exposing the second layer which is a sensitive layer. There are few toothpastes available in the market which combat sensitive teeth. It works for few individuals. However meet your dentist to actually diagnose the problem and then go ahead with treatment. Your dentist might suggest you simple enamel fillings or any other type of treatment which is appropriate depending on the severity of your sensitivity. Tooth sensitivity can also be due to your gums shrinking and making your tooth look longer. Which would need gum treatment to be done. However get your medical records updated and mention to the dentist if you have any gastric regurgitation, which cud be the cause at times. Minimize the intake of carbonated drinks, citrus fruits, squeezing lemon to food, consumption of wine as these are the very few major culprits to dissolve the top layer of the tooth and exposing the second layer thus making your teeth sensitive. Stay away from tobacco related habits which also makes your teeth sensitive try to use soft tooth brushes to prevent unnesasary wearing of the tooth surface. Your dentist would be the right person to customize the plan which suits you the best as every individual is unique. I hope I clarified your query ping me back if you need any more clarification good luck and god bless.

10 tips to look after your teeth
Good oral hygiene and regular visits to the dentist will help you maintain healthy teeth and gums.

Here are some tips to help you look after your teeth.

Brush at least twice a day. The best time to brush teeth is after meals. Choose a toothbrush with a small head for better access to back teeth. Soft bristles are kinder on your gums.

Use fluoridated toothpaste. Fluoride helps to harden tooth enamel and reduces your risk of decay.

Brush thoroughly. Tooth brushing should take between two and three minutes.

Floss your teeth daily. Use a slow and gentle sawing motion.

Limit acidic drinks like soft drinks, cordials and fruit juices. Food acids soften tooth material and dissolve the minerals in tooth enamel, causing holes (cavities or caries). In severe cases, teeth may be ‘eaten’ right down to the gum.

Limit sugary foods. Bacteria in dental plaque change sugars into acids.

Protect your teeth from injury. Wear a mouthguard or full-face helmet when playing sports.

Try to save a knocked out tooth. If possible, hold the tooth back in place while you seek immediate dental advice. If this is not possible, wrap the tooth in plastic or place it in milk and seek dental advice immediately.

Avoid using your teeth for anything other than chewing food. If you use them to crack nuts, remove bottle tops or rip open packaging, you risk chipping or even breaking your teeth.

See your dentist for regular check-ups. You should also visit your dentist if you have a dental problem such as a toothache or bleeding gums.

Always use soft bristles toothbrush and teeth brushing should be done 2 to 3 minutes

BDS
Dentist, Jaipur
Always use soft bristles toothbrush and teeth brushing should be done 2 to 3 minutes
Always use soft bristles toothbrush and teeth brushing should be done 2 to 3 minutes. Because hard toothbrush and lengthy cleaning time cause the abrasion of teeth which can make your teeth sensitive.
Clean your front teeth in a vertical motion and back teeth in circular motion.
Always clean your tongue with tongue cleaner.
Never use needle, match stick, wooden stick etc to remove food in between teeth because these things can cause gums inflammation resulting in pocket formation.
Have a good smile.

It is due to gum infection which is again due to calculus deposit on teeth and into the gums. You have to see a good dentist who will clean the teeth with an ultrasonic scaler or a periodontist who is specialised in gum surgery. You have to take medicines and mouth wash. If you are diabetic please check and report that to doctor. If you have any chewing habits or smoking habits please stop that. Please tell the doctor that you have difficulty in taking spicy foods and hard goods and then he will check the mucosa for any specific diseases.

To make your teeth last long and avoid painful dental treatment it is better to have your teeth checked and if the decay has initiated - to stop the same by having it treated with Pit and fissure sealants. This is the new age - Minimally Invasive Dentistry (MID).

Dear lybrate-user, whitening toothpaste may cause severe tooth sensitivity if used for a long term. In indian market there are so many brands of toothpaste available. For healthy gum use normally available toothpaste which dnt contain any abrasive material as it may damage enamel. If you have tooth sensitivity use sensitive toothpaste in particular.
