At 14 , you will get increased heart beats but it is not heart pain, do write back if there are symptoms like breathlessness and general weakness , pain in the joints also.

Hello dear High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation,yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress,take plenty of water in day time. And 1 glass of water before bed at night. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. garlic,. Take anti cholesterol medicines .

Get your sputum examination done. If its still showing afb positive bacteria, keep mask applied on your face and avoid direct touching. If its negative, just complete the remaining treatment. It will not spread to close contacts. If have completed your family, just relax. If not, you need to get urself examined for ovarain tb if you will face difficulty conceiving.

Dear lybrate user, actually cholesterol is a fatty acid. The cholesterol seen in lipid profile report suggested liver can not digest such fat and eeen in reports. According to ayurveda, it is not too much dnager for the body. When we eat opily food for a long time, our liver cannot digest it and it is shown in the report. Accoding to ayurveda, the undigested food (ama) is considered as a cholesterol. For more details consult me.

Diabetes usually associated with high triglyceride with good diabetes control it also be contrilled avoid fatty and spicy food keep total oil intake around 500ml per mobth and must continue and increase exercise

Mr. Lybrate-user, the various things you have mentioned are some what inter related but everything can not be predicted as you may be thinking. Various things can cause problem with heart. High cholesterol can cause blocks in the coronary artery which can lead to angina or later myocardial infarction (heart attack). High blood pressure puts extra work load on the heart. Diabetes does affect large blood vessels (coronary artery) and also aids dyslipidemia. Tests like echocardiogram and angiography do help in identifying possible causes leading to heart attacks.

Good to know that reports for heart are normal. May be you have stomach problems like acidity due to wrong eating. Take regularly some warm liquids whih are nourishing and less of fatty and oily foods which cause bulk to stomach. You can have clear soups, green tea, diluted toned milk, warm water with honey and lemon juice. Any of thses every 2 hours to wash acid in stomach. Seasonal vegetables & fruits as per constitution. Less of oils and spices but no bland food either. Black pepper and cinnamon is good for heart. Take minumum salt and sugar despite bp and blood sugar being normal.

In the our community, high blood pressure (HBP), also known as hypertension, is a common health condition to say the least. In fact, more than 40 percent of population have HBP, according to the American Heart Association. Whether it?s a close relative or friend, there?s a good chance that you know someone with HBP. Unfortunately, it?s considered the norm, but it doesn?t have to be that way at all.
Higher rates of obesity and diabetes and plain ole genetics put African Americans at a higher risk for HBP. Not to be taken lightly, HBP that?s left untreated can lead to a stroke. If you take medication to help control your blood pressure, then by all means, continue following your doctor?s orders, but perhaps ? just perhaps ? the best medicine is a new, healthy lifestyle. The following suggestions can not only lower your blood pressure but reduce your need for medication. Keep reading to find out what they are.
1. Lose weight.
Only do so if you?re overweight or obese. Need some convincing? Essentially, the more weight you lose, the better your blood pressure. Also, if you?re already taking medication(s) to treat your HBP, losing weight will help make those medications more effective.
2. Exercise often.
We all know how chaotic life can be at times, but it?s important to squeeze in at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day or every other day. Exercising regularly can lower your blood pressure as much as 4-9 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg).
3. Change your diet.
This means avoiding salty foods, including potato chips, French fries, pretzels, lunch meat and pasta sauce. Boosting your potassium intake and eating more fresh fruits and vegetables and low-fat dairy products can lower your blood pressure by up to 14 mm Hg.
4. Reduce stress.
Don?t neglect yourself. It?s important to take a little time to relax and unwind by participating in activities that you truly enjoy, whether it?s jogging, power walking, reading, listening to music or going to the movies. And whatever it is that seems to trigger stress in your life, figure out a way to eliminate or avoid those triggers as much as you possibly can. You might find it helpful to learn a few stress management techniques for when the going gets tough.
5. Eat more dark chocolate.
Dark chocolate seems to be the food that keeps on giving. Not only does it boost your energy and reduce inflammation, but did you know that just one small square a day can lower your blood pressure? This is due to the fact that dark chocolate is rich in antioxidant flavonoids. Now, that?s sweet!
6. Avoid alcohol and tobacco.
We?re not saying that you have to completely swear off drinking because after all, what is a good party, vacay or get-together with friends without an ice, cold pi�a colada? Try to keep your alcohol consumption to no more than one glass per day.
As for smoking, besides lung cancer, COPD, heart disease, infertility and the other dangers of smoking, tobacco products can raise your blood pressure. Although difficult at first, quitting certainly has its health benefits and pays off in the long run.

Hello, CHEST PAIN in your case may be due to 1.acidity. 2. severe anxiety 3. muscular problem A.You can take Tablet Pantocid 40 mg one tablet before food for 3 days B. Local application of Volini gel 1% twice a day for 2-3 day you should go for BP check along with Base line ECG and review with report I am giving you some health tips to avoid acidity 1.Take small frequent meal kindly take 5-6 small meal in whole day 2.Take 6-8 glass of water in a day 4. My mother was diagnosed with hypertension 150/95 and was given medication atenolol 50 mg and amlodipine 2. 5 mg. And after 4 days when checked in home it was 128/85, is it advisable to stop medication? Or to be taken for life long?

Dear Lybrateuser, - Your mother has to take the medication continuously, the BP has come down because of the medication, if you stop it it will again rise - take the advise of your treating doctor if any alteration or change in medication is required - restrict salt & salty foods, avoid fried & processed food - she should have a well balanced diet, with more of fruits & vegetables including green leafy & seasonal ones, whole grains, low fat dairy & lean protein foods, nuts - do regular exercise like walking morning, evening for 20-30 min - try to sleep well for 6-7 hrs at least at night - check BP regularly.

Hi, Normal heart beat is 70-80 per min. Your heart beat is very high and it is usually called as cardiac arrhythmias. Take out an ECG and consult a cardiologist at the earliest. Brisk walk will increase the heart beats all the more. Therefore it is not advised in this case.

Stop smoking asap, as it is pollution levels in the environment are high and all of us in delhi/mumbai are inhaling 8-10 cigarettes a day ruining our lungs and hearts, low levels of oxygen in circulating blood can trigger a heart attack, you should quit smoking through will power for your sake and for sake of your loved ones. You have pain on the heart side, remember all pains are not due to heart, if there are no other symptoms, try a painkiller like meftal, if it is a muscular pain, it will give you relief, but heart pain is sharp shooting and does not get corrected by painkillers.
