My wife has given birth to a baby since 2 months and now from last 2 weeks she is going through pain in both wrist, even she is facing difficulty in lifting the baby. So please suggest and also note that she is breastfeeding her child.

Very likely she is suffering with Dequervains tenosynovitis. Please visit an orthopaedician to confirm diagnosis. Treatment is rest, ice application, stretching and splint. Occasionally an injection or surgery is needed. It can be cured completely so do not worry.

My right hand 5th metacarpal bone got fractured on may 10th got visited doctor orthopedic doctor after 10 days he applied ball bandage +given medicine for 20 days. After 20 days doctor removed ball bandage, and said healed the fracture. Recommended to visit after 15 days with medication Even after healing my hand still deformed. When I visit doctor examined my hand said it was not properly applied ball bandage due to this it was not healed correctly. Bone healed cross. If to correct this to be carried to be surgery. I want to get it correct what to do. Is it right to get it correct by surgery or not?

Lybrate-user ji. It will difficult to comment on this without seeing X-rays. Also decision of surgery will based on if you have any pain and functional deficit (ie How much your hand is bothering you in day to day activities). Metacarpal fractures even if they unite with some angulation usually do not give functional problems.

From last 2 days and night ,when ever I go to bed to sleep ,in less than 1 minutes feel discomfort like heavy head and I quickly get up from sleep ,also I am feeling tingling and numbness in feet and hands. What all these symptoms are of? What should I do to cure?(Due to study pressure, I am not able to workout since from 4-5 months and gained about 15 kg of weight 50 to 75 kg)

It could be sleep apnea. This happens due to obstruction of upper air way during sleeping. This can be evaluated by sleep study and can be very well treated. Other causes can be excluded with thorough history examination. I suggest you visit a physician near by.

Please take her to an Orthopaedician. She probably is suffering from early stages of arthritis. Doctor will take history and perform examination and x-rays to guide the treatment.

Lower back pain radiating to leg is due to irritation of nerves in back. This is commonly caused from herniation /protrusion of Disc which can press the nerves in back which supply to leg. A thorough examination is required to assess the extent and investigation like xray and MRI to find the cause of irritation. If it does turn out to be disc herniation 90% can be treated without surgery. Isuggest you visit an Orthopaedic surgeon for this.
