Dear lybrate-user Spondylisis is an ailment affecting the vertebrate. Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Simple Knee Exercises would help to strengthen the quadriceps muscles which is the key muscle. Specific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping ball underneath the knee and keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. If your knee is paining since 2 weeks, then you have to rethink whether you had any injury in the previous years. I also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. The best treatment of gout consists of restoring the balance of vata (air element) and detoxifying the blood. High protein diet should be avoided in cases of increased uric acid. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take maha yograj guggul 1-1 twice a day. Kaishor guggul and chandraprabha vati 1-1 twice a day.

I am 65 years 57 kg male. I am otherwise normal - non diabetic, bp normal. I am sensitive to blow of cold air for the last 6 months which gives me backache &/or spondylitis. Now I have noticed the soles of my feet have started becoming little spongy. Kindly guide me.

As you have mentioned that you are not a diabetic, your clinical condition is most likely arising out of degenerative changes in lower back region. To advise you on how we have to manage your clinical condition, ideally we need, 1) clinical examination (motor, sensory and evaluation of dtr) of both lower limbs 2) mri ls spine to correlate examination findings with radiology once I have them in front of me, I can tell you what will be the ideal management in your case. Hello, What's your weight? As overweight can cause pain in body! Do take Calcium and Iron tablets regularly. Try to take enough rest (which might not be possible in your case because of small baby). If possible, start doing light exercises, you can take advise from physiotherapist as sitting for long hours which stagnant the blood circulation. Medication: Take Arnica 30 and Rhus Tox. 30 - both thrice daily for 3 weeks.

Let I take the medicine for leg pain or eye pain and further I am suffering from an ear problem?

Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Physiotherapy usually helps any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. It may have to be further investigated do ask for detailed treatment plan. Yo do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. You must have x rays of your feet done. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. It will be better if you visit me in my clinic.

I suggest you follow the below for your condition: Take Mag Phos 6x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks and update. Also do x-ray of the affected area. Heat and Ice Packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately. Seems neuropathy has taken over. You have to be under proper medical care and switching med. Immediately will not help. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).
