I am trying for my 2nd baby frm d past 5 months but have not conceived. My periods r regular and I conceived my first baby within a month's time who will be turning 4 soon. I'm really worried. Is it normal to take this much time?

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
As you already conceived within no time, this time also it will happen. But you need to give your body little more time to get pregnant. You can wait for another 7 months before you can start seeking medical help. As I can see you must have put on weight since last time around, which reduces chance of getting pregnant. In the nest 6 months you should try getting your weight reduced to help you get pregnant.

My Daughter 2.5 years old has very bad cough with Vomiting. Given all kinds of syrup. Nothing help her out. Very tensed. Do not know what to do. Please suggest me something.

Ph. D - Psychology, Professional Certified Coach
Psychologist, Ahmedabad
I understand your worry and concern as a parent. Mostly her vomiting is due to cough. I do hope you have consulted pediatrician ans giving her medicine as per recommendation. Other than that. Give her more liquid diet instead of solid. Many times food particles could cause vomiting. Also as she is very young. As a parents it is important that you stay calm and engage her in some fun activity. Laugh with her tell her stories or what ever she enjoys. Positive and calmer environment around her will help her stay calmer and help in healing process. Support each other as a couple to reduce your anxiety and do everything that needs to be done medically. What ever virus or bacteria that is causing her cough will take. Its course before she will start recovering. Make sure she is hydrated properly. Even one spoon water and electrolyte at a time will also help. Hope she feels better soon. Wishing you all very best.

Hi, , fever may be due to infection for that consult immediately, Dr. May give you antibiotics, pain reliever, urine alkalizer, n ask you to test blood n urine. Is this is 1st time that you got kidney stones or it is habit either way it becomes habit, so take care where the stone located n whats size on that basis I can add value, to drop this habit ayurveda really offers great advantage by detox to transform your way of metabolism, till then have shatavari ghritam this will boost health of cells of your urinary tract n avail power to muscles of ureters to expel the small stones n stones won't get attached to each other to form bigger ones,

Should I have sex daily or on alternate days for pregnancy. Which is the best option?

MBBS, MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology, DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology)
Gynaecologist, Bangalore
Normal Sperms can survive in the female body for 2-7 days times based on their capacity. So having intercourse on alternate days from 10th day of the cycle to 18th day of the cycle increases the chances of pregnancy.
