Hi ive been diagnosed with major anxiety/depressive disorder like 1.5 years back. Ive had my share of panic attacks and phases of depression. One of the physicians I showed to had ordered tests for vitamin b12 deficiency and vitamin d and they were significantly low. 150pg/ml for b12 and 20 for Vit. D after taking shots for both was fine for a long time taking paxidep25 mg daily. I made a mistake and stopped and ive had on and off phases of anxiety and restlessness. Recently mya condition deteriorated again, im feeling restless and heaviness in my legs and light headedness. I checked b12 and D again and it seems theyve dropped to 250pg/ml and 20 for vit. D again. But my psychiatrist and the general physician I contacted both say it has nothing to do with anxiety. Is this true? Or can low b12 levels make me anxious and restless.

Dear user. Low b12 level cannot contribute to anxiety. Usually the symptoms are: Weakness, tiredness, or lightheadedness. Heart palpitations and shortness of breath. Pale skin. A smooth tongue. Constipation, diarrhea, a loss of appetite, or gas. Nerve problems like numbness or tingling, muscle weakness, and problems walking. Vision loss. Work with your doctor for cure. Take care.

Hi gain weight you need to combine a balanced eating pattern with regular physical activity. You should be eating at least 6 small meals a day, rather than sticking to 3 square meals. You could divide it as 3 main meals and 3 snacks. You need to be eating every 2-3 hours. Space out snacks during the day so you don't spoil your appetite. Bread, cereal, rice, whole wheat, dalia and pasta: biscuits, and corn-bread are good sources of carbohydrates. Fruits: dried fruits, fruit nectars, and large quantities of fresh fruits vegetables: include, potatoes, peas, corn in your diet. Meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, and nuts: beef, pork, lamb, poultry, salmon, omelets, nuts, peanut butter, kidney beans, chickpeas will help you gain weight. Include dairy products like milk, yogurt, and cheese: milk, fruited yogurts, hard cheeses, ice cream, puddings, custards, milkshakes. -nuts and seeds make a healthy option for snacks. -roasted channas and peanuts are good -peanut butter on the sandwiches are a great mid-meal choice. -you must know that cereals actually contain some healthy calories. Stay hydrated: drinking plenty of water and other fluids like juices, milk, soups etc, will work in your favour. Do not drink water before a meal and in between the meal as it may make you lose your appetite, thus calorie intake suffers. Sleep: at least 8 hours of sound sleep is a must. Since your body is actually building up muscles, while you rest. Weight gainers have long term side effects.

Use Betadine Mouth wash twice daily for 5 days, take Vit B-complex for 10 days. Apply Hexigel to reduce pain for normal ulcer. If its for long time in same place then need to worry visit dentist.

I'm not able to get sleep during nights. The problem is that I don't go to bed easily but once I do, I won't be getting up any sooner. I'm not able to follow a proper timetable and thus losing my precious diet on most of the days.

1.You may be having anxiety or stress. Avoid stress. 2.You need 7-8 hours of sound sleep to remain healthy. 3.Go for regular exercise, Take part in games and sports, 4.Do yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion, relieve anxiety and improve concentration. 5.Take light dinner. 6.Avoid taking tea/coffee at bed time. 7.Take a small walk after dinner and if possible take hot water bath before sleep. Read a light magazine or interesting book before going to bed 8. Avoid late night. 9.Don’t sleep in day time 10.Don’t take sleeping pill 11. If no relief consult doctor

Hi lybrate-user. I can understand your state of mind, but there is solution for everything, you will get over it with medication and therapy. Compulsive use of the internet for porn can interfere with daily life and your relationships, leaving you feel ashamed. If you notice porn having a negative impact on your life but find yourself having difficulty cutting it out, you may need to go to greater lengths to get your problem under control. By replacing your negative behavior with positive ones, you can beat this habit. Consult with me for counseling and therapy. All the best.

If you get above symptoms inky during exams or when you are overloaded with study logs, then you need to learn to manage stress appropriately. But if inspite of all attempts to manage study stress you always end up with same symptoms, you should consider trying help with medications and counseling. You also might need to learn some relaxation exercises
