Dear lybrate user. Many of the trading high protien powders in the market are having steroids mixed with them which predisposes a person for depression. As you already had an episode of depression in the past, you be cautious of what that powder contains as ingrediants. Spirulina in pure form has no such interactions.

Stress and anxiety if remain unresolved for a long time may add up and impair ones performance, work and relationships. Try relaxation exercises like yoga, mediation or deep breathing exercises. If such symptoms remain persistent for more than 2 weeks, it is advisable to consult a psychiatrist for treatment with counselling and medications of required.

Think about all the factors that can interfere with a good night's sleep ? from pressure at work and family responsibilities to unexpected challenges, such as layoffs, relationship issues or illnesses. It's no wonder that quality sleep is sometimes elusive. Although you might not be able to control all of the factors that interfere with your sleep, you can adopt habits that encourage better sleep. Start with these simple sleep tips. 1. Stick to a sleep schedule Go to bed and get up at the same time every day, even on weekends, holidays and days off. Being consistent reinforces your body's sleep-wake cycle and helps promote better sleep at night. There's a caveat, though. If you don't fall asleep within about 15 minutes, get up and do something relaxing. Go back to bed when you're tired. If you agonize over falling asleep, you might find it even tougher to nod off. 2. Pay attention to what you eat and drink Don't go to bed either hungry or stuffed. Your discomfort might keep you up. Also limit how much you drink before bed, to prevent disruptive middle-of-the-night trips to the toilet. Nicotine, caffeine and alcohol deserve caution, too. The stimulating effects of nicotine and caffeine take hours to wear off and can wreak havoc on quality sleep. And even though alcohol might make you feel sleepy at first, it can disrupt sleep later in the night. 3. Create a bedtime ritual Do the same things each night to tell your body it's time to wind down. This might include taking a warm bath or shower, reading a book, or listening to soothing music ? preferably with the lights dimmed. Relaxing activities can promote better sleep by easing the transition between wakefulness and drowsiness. Be wary of using the TV or other electronic devices as part of your bedtime ritual. Some research suggests that screen time or other media use before bedtime interferes with sleep. 4. Get comfortable Create a room that's ideal for sleeping. Often, this means cool, dark and quiet. Consider using room-darkening shades, earplugs, a fan or other devices to create an environment that suits your needs. Your mattress and pillow can contribute to better sleep, too. Since the features of good bedding are subjective, choose what feels most comfortable to you. If you share your bed, make sure there's enough room for two. If you have children or pets, try to set limits on how often they sleep with you ? or insist on separate sleeping quarters.

Dear Sir, I don't know how to retain a single line/word/number. I watch matches but can never retain/recall scores; player name & discussion in which I have participate. When I close my eyes it's almost black there no picture/no memory.! When I read & understand something I become able to explain it but as soon as I start another topic or discussion ; I can't recall what I had explained earlier. When I close my eye it's almost black never know what I know at all. But Still I pass my exam (CA - CPT & IPCC) although I cannot teach same question paper after 2-3 days! I listen songs but my mind never catches songs beat; every time I listen it's feel like i'm listening for 1st time or had listen in few year back just tiny bit of thing hit my mind. Everyday I woke up; I feel like new born baby with some memory & never sure of what I know at all! I feel like it's better to burn away rather than fade away!

You may be experiencing a naturally induced regression fro some childhood related unresolved issue that is now surfacing to seek a resolution. You could meet with a counselor along with your parents and find out some causes for your tendency. You do not mention your age but if you are near abouts your late adolescence, some of this are accountable. I suspect that the adolescent issues with regard to hormones may be affecting your ability to concentrate and remember. When the hormones play up, it lasts for a period of close to two years and during that time you could be influenced by three signs directly impacted by the chemical: you will tend to become aggressive and rebellious, you will become sexually active, and you will have acne and pimple problems. The hormonal imbalances may not only impact your memory because of the chemical but also bring some distractions that come with it. But you may work on the following even if the hormones kick in: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem-solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning, at least, five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position, you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. There is some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling too. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid sugar and junk food.

Dear lybrate user...Scientifically anxiety leads to weight gain and not weight loss. Anxiety or any kind of stress leads to elevation of blood cortisol and this hormone is responsible to increase weight particularly in the waist region of the body. What I perceive in your case is that you are not able to gain weight and this makes you feel anxious in social situations. Anxiety is a normal phenomenon and is essential to survive and take appropriate actions once situations demands, but it is the excess than the situation appropriate anxiety that is harmful and needs to be targeted. Neurobiologically excess of anxiety or stress leads to increase in the hormone cortisol and having high cortisol is not good for our body systems. High cortisol leads to high blood sugar level and in long rul may cause Diabetes Mellitus, Heart Attacks, Stroke and paralysis, Hypertension and many more. Any such unfortunate incident with an individual may just be a trigger to precipitate an underlying psychiatric disorder. I am on medication for Depression and Gaso Problems. Since last 2 years Taking Fluxtione 20mg and LESURIDE 25mg two times daily.I feel Better in taking all foodand good health. Whether prolonged use of LESURIDE will have any side effect on my future.Pls advice

Lesuride: This medication is an antipsychotic and prokinetic agent, prescribed for dyspepsia, gastro-esophageal reflux disease, and irritable bowel syndrome. When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): Contraindicated in patients with gastrointestinal bleeding, and intestinal obstruction. : Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women OR Animal studies have shown an adverse effect, but adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus in any trimester. Dosage & When it is to be taken : Adult: PO- The recommended dose is 25 mg 3 times/day. How it should be taken : It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, as directed by your physician. Warnings and Precautions : Caution should be exercised in patients with history of neuroendocrine tumor, epilepsy, manic states, abnormally-high levels of prolactin in the blood, painful, lumpy breasts, heart disease, any allergy, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause dizziness or drowsiness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. Side Effects : Genitourinary - Absence of menstrual period, breast enlargement in male, spontaneous milk secretion, and changes in libido. Potentially Fatal - Neuroleptic malignant syndrome. Other Precautions : Avoid excess dosage.

Hi lybrate-user you seem to be suffering from poor self confidence and low self esteem, which is making creating lot of negative feeling in you about yourself. This seems to be the reason which keeps you preoccupied with any thing you do. The best approach would be to consult a clinical psychologist in your vicinity and under go psychotherapy or counseling as deemed necessary.
