I am 17 years old. I want to gain weight and lean muscle mass that is why I want to join gym because they offer trainers as well as nutritionists but my parents don't allow me to go for gym, they think it will stop my growth. Is it the case? Does going to gym at this age really stops your growth?

Not really. But before going to gym you should start doing free hand body weight exercises at home or in a park, like pushups, squats, pull-ups, crunches etc. For 1 year. When your body gets used to exercising, you can start gym.

No such packed health supplement provide health benefits as claimed by them. They are processed with lots of sugar and flavouring agents. Give natural food to children like home made fruit shakes, using natural flavourings like cinnamon, cardamon, fennel etc.

To reduce weight and body fat you should avoid all foods that come in a packet including oils, white sugar, maida & milk products. Increase consumption of fruits, veggies, nuts & seeds, legumes & sprouts. Reduce intake of rice & wheat based foods & increase cooked veggies, curries and lentils.
