It is certainly not harmful. The point is whether it is useful. Just doing multiple tests per day (you did not mention whether you are doing it every day) does not help you. Keep a diary and share the readings with your doctor to analyse it give instructions. Do it again when and how frequently it should be done for your diabetes management. He is the best judge. As your, level variations can properly be analysed and measures recommended by a qualified and experienced doctor.

What should we do in we have high BP? And also tell me why sugar is not to eaten by a person how have diabetes.

What should we do in we have high BP? And also tell me why sugar is not to eaten by a person how have diabetes.
Hello lybrate-user, a) a sound clinical evaluation often suffices to trace the cause of hypertension in younger age group. Younger men with high blood pressure typically have high diastolic pressure while older men have high systolic pressure. In young men, the diastolic pressure rises because the heart is pumping harder. Often these are patients whose blood pressure would respond to weight management and other lifestyle changes, but they're less likely to seek treatment. Few lifestyle modifications like weight reduction, dash (dietary approaches to stop hypertension) eating plan. Lower salt intake. Aerobic physical activity. Moderation of alcohol consumption. B) diabetes is a metabolic disease in which the person has high blood glucose (blood sugar), either because insulin production is inadequate, or because the body's cells do not respond properly to insulin, or both. When you have diabetes, your blood sugar (glucose) levels may be consistently high. Over time, this can damage your body and lead to many other problems. Glucose is precious fuel for all the cells in your body when it's present at normal levels. But it can behave like a slow-acting poison. High sugar levels slowly erode the ability of cells in your pancreas to make insulin. The organ overcompensates and insulin levels stay too high. Over time, the pancreas is permanently damaged. High levels of blood sugar can cause changes that lead to a hardening of the blood vessels, what doctors call atherosclerosis.

What is the gain of consuming peanut 3 spoons per day and which is the carb rich food? Is peanut butter carb rich food?
No, peanut butter is not a carb rich food. It has less carbs, but more fats, proteins and other nutrients like vit e, k and mg etc. To know the exact amount of calories in 3 spoons of peanut butter, you will have to check out the food label on it. But roughly, 1 tsp peanut butter provides 30-40 cal.

Hi, I am 18 year old. Par mai bahut weak hu Dekhne waale mujhe keh nahi paate k mai 18 ka hun so mujhe batayein k mai...
You can feel weak due to lack of essential nutrients, not getting enough sleep, a weak immune system, excessive drinking, skipping meals, emotional stress, and too much physical labor. Persistent weakness can be caused by health problems like anemia, arthritis, hypothyroidism, a sleep disorder, cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetes and heart disease. In these cases, it is very important to find out the exact cause behind your weakness. To feel energetic and refreshed in life, you must exercise daily for at least 30 minutes, maintain your ideal body weight, follow a good diet, sleep properly, drink water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated, avoid alcohol and stop smoking if you do .

My age is 20 years , often I get tired and feeling fainted so can you please tell me what might be the reason ?

BHMS

Hi, simple nutritional deficiency can cause general weakness of the body. Would advise you to take homoeopathic medicines - alfaalfa tonic and five phos. - both thrice daily, and let me know about your condition after a month. Management: daily intake more of healthy, nutritious and balanced food which includes green vegetables, seasonal fruits, salads, legumes, pulses, eggs, milk & milk products, oats, cornflakes, muesli, nuts, lean meat (chicken & few seafood), etc. Keep yourself well-hydrated by taking at least 10-12 glasses of water in a day, also increase intake of other fluids like coconut water, shikanji, jaljeera, gulkand, rooh-afza, lassi, curd, etc. Which has got cooling effect on the body during this hot summer weather. Sleep for 6-9 hrs at night and 1-2 hrs. During daytime. Avoid going out or playing under the sun, best time is after sunset. Wear a hat with broad brim, wear sunglasses whenever you are out in the sun. Don't awake late nights, follow motto of'early to bed, early to rise' avoid unnecessary exertion or stress.

Hello I have fatty tummy and to get rid of it I extremely worked hard but I didn't see any change I had 70 kg weight ...
Just by doing crunches and cardio you will not lose belly fat. You have to do intense weight training to reduce it and gain muscles. You also have to eat clean. To maintain a low body fat and/or lower body fat: 1. Exercise at least 5 times per week 2. Eat whole/unprocessed foods at regular intervals, while being aware of physical hunger/fullness cues 3. Sleep 7-9 hours per night 4. Don’t engage in extreme diets 5. Stay consistent with your habits 6. Incorporate non-exercise physical activity 7. Ignore food advertising You need a fat loss diet which comprises of whole grains like jowar, bajra, wheat, brown rice, pulses like moong, musoor, bengal gram, lots of vegetables, fruits, eggs, fish, chicken, paneer, healthy oil, nuts and seeds. You need to eat them in right proportion. Avoid eating sugar and sweets, refined foods like maida, noodles pasta, White rice and products, bread. Drink a lot of water.

The reason of not gaining weight are * improper diet * indigestion (disease of stomach, loose motions) * thyroid disorder * diabetes *addiction (smoking or alcoholism) dear you can easily get a healthy body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. 2. Hi it is a misconception that warm water with lemon will help you lose weight. Water and lemon are good for health but not'weight cutters' get fit. Be more active. Do 30-60 minutes intensive exercise everyday. You are young and you can do it. Eat more fruits. Cut down on oils and sugar from your diet. Reduce fried food and juices. Drink more water. Bit by bit you can be fit.

Hye. The basic principle of managing good weight is to eat sensibly and exercise well or be very physically active. All the shortcuts like pills or medicines will give a little fat mobilisation but that's hardly 3 to 4%. It majorly gives you muscle loss and bone loss. Remember any method that gives you drastic weight loss, that is if it does, is purely muscle loss. Hence, once you discontinue it, you gain back all the weight and much more. So, it may be added, but if your diet and exercise is not good, it's of no much benefit.

Dear Lybrate User, You are on the borderline of health problems. You need to take urgent steps to recover your health. Its possible right now to become healthy without medicines. However if this trend continues unchecked for another 3-4 years, then condition can become serious. # Sugar - 104. You are in prediabetes category. Meds not required. Corrective diet + exercise required. # Triglycerides -269. This is in 'high' category. Medicines not required. Diet reduction can help reduce this in 3 months. # Dizziness indicates you are not having sufficient water. Drink one glass every hour. Also every 2 hours take a break. Stretch. Get up from your seat and climb steps/walk for 5 minutes. Aim to reduce 2-3 KGS per month. This will improve all your health parameters. All the best.

It doesn't increase acne as such. It is due to great rise of sex hormones like testosterone in men. Quite a lot people believe the notion that masturbation causes pimples, which has been passed through generations. However, the two have no relationship except from the fact that they start with the onset of puberty. Generally, acne or pimples are caused by bacteria that feed on the oil that is produced on the skin pores. During puberty, a lot of oil is produced, but the production decreases later on in life. This is the reason why pimples strike during teen age.
