There's nothing worse than desperately needing to go to the toilet when the only options are a service station or public park. You hold your breath and try not to think about the disease-causing germs that are probably crawling all over the seat and bowl – chlamydia, gonnorrhea and syphilis, to name but a few. But can you actually catch a sexually transmitted infection (STI), from a toilet seat? No you can't, according to sexual health expert Professor Basil Donovan, because even if the bacteria and viruses that can cause an STI got onto the seat, they can't survive for long after leaving the human body. As their name suggests STD Is are most commonly spread through sexual activity, including intercourse, oral sex and, in the case of some diseases such as genital warts, direct skin-to-skin contact. "There's nothing very magical about STDIs, they're fastidious bugs which don't like dry [conditions], heat, Donovan says. "Most organisms are quite fragile so don't last any more than a few minutes. Because they dry out and die. "Viruses such as warts can't get in unless there is a break in the skin, and when you have sex it induces micro-trauma and breaks the outer layer of skin, Donovan says. "If the virus was just dabbed on the outside of your skin it couldn't attach itself, Granted, if you had a cut on your bottom and there were bacteria or viruses on the seat it is theoretically possible that you could catch an STI. But Donovan says in all his years of treating patients he has never suspected a toilet seat as the source of any STI. Toilet seats are also unlikely to be the source of urinary tract infections, most commonly caused by the bacteria Escherichia coli (E. Coli), because your urethra – the tube that connects the bladder to the genitals and can become infected – never touches the seat. Hygiene hints But while you don't need to worry about picking up an STI the next time you need to visit a public convenience, you should still think hygiene-first while in the bathroom. Washing and drying your hands after using the toilet is one of the most important factors in stopping the spread of the germs that can cause digestive diseases, such as rotavirus. Donovan says the most important habits for hygiene are: Not touching your face until you wash your hands if you have been to the toilet Washing your hands with soap Drying your hands thoroughly "Drying your hands is more important than washing them. Up to now I use to drink 4 to 5 glasses of water a day but my husband said me to drink more water so now I am drinking 10 to 15 glasses of water a day. My question is if I drink 2 glasses of water I vl get urine with in 30 min. Is it gud?

Hello! to be fit take small n frequent healthy meal (5-6 meal a day). Stay away from preserved food, ready to eat foods, deep fried food, sugar n sweet items n do exercise for at least 30 min a day. You need to take care of is good quality protein. Try to take milk n products, egg whites, fish, lean chicken, dal n products etc. With complex carbohydrate n good quality fat (almond, walnut, peanut, flex seed, chia seed etc.) stay away from preserved food, ready to eat foods, deep fried food, excess sugar n sweet items.

Hello lybrate user biscuits are allowed and good only if it is maida free eg. Marie gold. Can be taken along with tea. Fruits are always best choice as it can fulfill the required nutrition and improves overall health. But always seasonal fruits are good to be taken eith in the morning noon or evening preferably. Not post dinner.

First you should get a blood sugar level tasted. For diabetic patient should maintain blood sugar level maintain weight as per height and weight of the body. Have a healthy life-style balanced food with less sugar intake. Do regular morning walk followed by moderate free hand exercise. And consult the treating physician as when required.

1. Avoid all snacks and commercial products with sugar in them - biscuits, cakes, bournvita, horlicks, coke, pepsi, energy drinks, sweetened yogurt etc. 2. Cut down on your daily intake of tea/coffee and maintain it at 3-4 cups a day. 3. Try to add little sugar to any beverage (coffee, tea, milk, lemon water etc.) that you have and ideally you should refrain from adding any sugar altogether. 4. If you have a sitting job then ensure that you do not sit for more than 30 minutes at one stretch. Get up and move a little after every 30 minutes. 5. Try to work out for 20 minutes each day. You do not necessarily have to go to the gym. You can incorporate some pretty powerful exercises in your daily routine like - squats, skipping, surya namaskar and core exercises. 6. Do not eat for 3 hours before you go to sleep. Eating before going to bed is one of the main cause of rapid weight gain. 7. Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday but remember that tea/coffee are not substitutes for pure water.

I guess your body's resting energy is very high that is why your body is burning all that you eat, without adding to your weight. Try eating something every 2-3 hours to avoid long periods of fasting. Eat proteins rich food to gain muscle mass. For customised diet, take consultation separately.

Hello you don't have to eat so much food or quantity to gain weight. The portion and quality or eating dense nutritious food is important you don't have to eat 5 dosa, 10 idli with ghee to gain weight instead drink a glass a milkshake with fruit dry-fruit and milk once a day. Include foods like eggs, yogurt, cheese etc.

Hi here are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit. For low bp 1. Drink plenty of water/ nimbu pani/electral powder with water 2. Increase salt intake 3. Take plenty of fresh green leafy vegetables, fruits. Fish, chicken etc 4. Avoid alcohol 5, go for regular exercise 6. Drink tea/ coffee 7. Avoid prolonged standing 8. Avoid stress, anxiety, depression 9. Take. Adequate rest and have 7-8 hours of sound sleep in the night 10. Do yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise to calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress 11. Hi. I advice you include protein rich food in your diet like soyabean, sprouts, eggs, milk and milk products, combination of cereal and pulses. Take heavy breakfast. No drinks before and with meals. Take 2 banana with warm milk in the morning. You are weak you should take proper sleep and diet you take 5 meals in a day in frequent intervals.

1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. 3. Do this daily for at least three months. 4. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 5. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. Do aerobics n yoga daily.

It can be judged by your height and weight and BMI, WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE, if waist circumference is more than 90 cm in men than chance of diabetes is more. Your FBS about 100 mg PPBS around 160 it is prediabetic. Feel free to ask privately with details for more scientific suggestions. You can refer my health tips on diabetes, diabetes and diet.
