I am 51 year old, type -2 diabetic person for 5 years, loosing weight day by day .I take precaution for having healthy diet daily, and having some light meal after two hours. But my sugar does not control after precaution. I take medicine - diapride M2, & metformin daily trice time. Doctor warn me to have insulin in future. My body pain as I feel weakness, even pain in leg bone. I take calcium tab daily. My sugar is 200-300 after medicine. Pl suggest me as I am in depression.

Don't panic or stress yourself. Diabetes is nothing, just a lifestyle disorder. As you stress yourself it get worse. To take over it, first thing you need to control is your breath. More oxygen will help you to control over your thoughts and negative feeling. Practice deep breath 5-6 times per day (20 cycles. While inhaling your stomach should fill like a balloon. Hold for 2 sec and exhale normally. Add liquid magnesium in your drinking water. (28 drops per day) Do Sesame oil massage of (20 minutes) your tummy. Do it in circular motion and gradually increase the circle size.

First of all i will advise you to stop taking non veg as it will increase your blood cholesterole level. 1.Do brisk walking daily. 2.Have a plate of salad including cucumber,onion,beet root. 3.Take 100gms of curd daily. 4.Eat green vegetables,soya bean,lentils. 5.Take capsule Ashwagandha,1 capsule twice daily with milk.

Hello lybrate-user, based on your medical problems and weight gain in central part of your body, I suspect that your obesity is driven by hormones rather than excessive calorie consumption. Your diet style should be according to the root cause of obesity. Merely walking and eating low fat, low calorie food is therefore not very effective. Irritable Bowel Syndrome - Symptoms, Causes and Treatment

A fairly common disorder, which affects the intestines, irritable bowel syndrome affects many adults across the world. If you are suffering from this disorder then you would have problems with bowel movements, mostly the irregularity of it. Sometimes you may suffer from constipation, other times you may suffer from diarrhea and the type of stool will also vary often between thin and hard or soft and liquid.

Common symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome
Some of the common symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome or IBS are as follows:
1. Constipation or diarrhea, the latter of which can become quite severe during certain episodes
2. Gas or bloating which can make you uncomfortable
3. Cramping around the stomach area especially the lower belly which tends to become worse after having food and better after bowel movements
4. Quality of stools may vary quite a lot from time to time such as very hard to lose
5. Stomach may start sticking out and become misshapen
6. May also come with sexual as well as urinary problems

Causes of Irritable bowel syndrome
The causes for irritable bowel syndrome vary from person to person. This disorder usually has triggers and yours may be different from someone else suffering from the same problems. However some general triggers and causes could be:
1. Hormonal problems - This is especially the case with women who tends to suffer From IBS more than men. Hormonal changes in the body such as before and after pregnancy and menopause or periods are known to be common.
2. Dietary causes-This is one of the major external triggers that have been reported by people. A variety of foods are known to have triggered or cause IBS. Some of the foods that have been implicated are beans, chocolate, cauliflower, cabbage or milk among many others.
3. Underlying illnesses - Sometimes IBS itself may be a symptom of a larger underlying problem such as gastrointestinal disorders, such as bacterial overgrowth and gastroenteritis.
4. Mental health and Stress issues - People going through psychological stress such as before exams or reviews have known to have IBS as stress becomes a trigger in their case. If you have mental health issues in the long run, these are also known to trigger or cause IBS.

Treatment options
Some of the treatment options for IBS are:
I. Antibiotics
II. Mental health counseling
III. Antidepressants
IV. Medications for bowel spasms
V. Medications for diarrhea or constipation

'Red wine is a ladies' drink'; if you are averse to alcohol, especially to its usual, piquant taste, you must have been suggested with the lightness of red wine by officious onlookers. That surely isn't a remote possibility when you are a lady and of age. Cautious introspection backed with years of medical or scientific research tells millions how wine, when consumed in moderation, helps improve a woman's physical health: the facet of mental health can be taken for granted as inebriation of most kinds results in mood elevation. It is therefore a ladies drink indeed.

While being perturbed about the health of your skin, the sagging cheek muscles, a double chin or wrinkles that start showing once women are in their thirties, you must have rarely conjured the image of a vineyard to relax and repair. Yes you can take boiled potato but take all protein rich foods like all milk and milk products, eggs, pulses, sprouts, nuts etc. To gain muscle mass instead of unhealthy fat in your body.

Dear lybrateuser, -You can have properly washed spinach in sandwich, wrap or with salad, other vegetables you can have are broccoli, cauliflower, kale, peas, leafy lettuce, can have sprouts -do wash them properly or also can boil them.

Norma level of vit D is between between 20-50 ng/ml. A level less than 20 ng/ml indicates Vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D3 is essential for healthy bone, teeth, muscle, cell growth, immunity,neuro muscular functioning and overall health. Deficiency causes ricket/osteomalacia, poor hair growth, increased risk of cancer. Treatment-Vitamin D3 60,000 unit/wk for 3 -6 months 1. Expose yourself to sunlight for 15-20 minutes daily in the morning 2. Take Milk, cheese, egg yolk, Fish (salmon/mackerel/ trout/sardines/tuna) cod liver oil, Mushroom, cereals, orange juice. 3. If you have deficiency of Vitamin D you have to take Vitamin D supplement 60000IU/week fo r 3 months after consulting physician.

Follow these best tips to get in shape and loose weight.* body become over weight due to deposition of fatty tissues. First you should follow diet plan for weight loss. * in morning, take 2-3 chapattis witha bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of without cream milk after 2 hour of breakfast. *in lunch you can take a bowl of soupor salad. *in evening, you can take a cup of teawith glucose biscuits. *in dinner, you can take a bowl of fruits or 2 chapattis with a bowl of vegetables. * for thighs - work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. To reduce the tummy, * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * lie down on plain surface, put your hands on the back of head by folding your elbows, now move your head towads the knees try to touch your knees with forehead and then move back and lie down. Repeat it for 5-10 times daily for flat tummy. * do surya namaskar yoga everyday, as surya namaskar have 12 forms of yoga. Do it for in morning everyday to get in shape in short period. * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories.

Dr, I am 72 years old &i am having acute numbness in both my feet. I am diabetic and have undergone hip replacement surgery at fortis hospital about 5 years ago, after a fracture in the femur and surgery which did not give desired result. Hello, please follow the doctor prescribed medicine. Which controls the diabetics and will not allow you increase. But along with medication, you need to concentrate on food also.
