If you do gym or workout you have to take extra protein in diet because it will help you to build muscle and in gaining weight.You can use whey protein or other nutritional protein supplement along with protein foods like fish,egg,lean meat,yogurt,mushroom,tofu,cottage cheese.take almond,walnut,pumpkin seeds,sunflower seeds,hemp seeds.Use healthy fat like olive,canola,fish oil.Use dense fruits,vegetables,unrefined foods.Avoid fast foods,junk foods.Avoid smoking,alcohol.

No it is not possible as breast milk i.e. colostrum starts secreting only by 7.5-8 months of pregnancy. Moreover she had aborted 2 years back which was only a month old gestation. Even in a breastfeeding woman, if there is no suckle for a even a week or more the milk production stops and dries up.

Hi lybrate-user, it is important to know why are you consuming green tea. Though I do not recommend my patients to drink it, you can have it if you want. Do not have it first thing in morning. The first thing which you should do right after getting up in morning is eat a healthy and wholesome breakfast (no lemon water, green or purple tea plz). This is because our bodies are at 8-9 hours of fasting when we get up, it needs real food to start up its metabolism (fat burning is also a metabolic reaction, which can't be accomplished without food). Eat poha/dosa/idli/paratha/upma/chila or anything you like to eat. You can go and exercise after that. Walk is no exercise if you want to reduce weight. Please run/dance/swim/cycle or anything you enjoy. Bear it in mind that it should be a bit challenging to your body. Start slow and be persistent. Feel free to add honey or sugar (half tea spoon) if you are having green tea. I would be happy to help you. Hi lybrate-user 1) Have a healthy breakfast everyday: Our bodies fast overnight when we sleep and need nourishment as soon as we wake up. If you have a healthy breakfast, you will feel less hungry during the rest of the day. 2) Focus more on eating foods that give nourishment, not calories: Eating healthy and including physical exercise in your schedule will help you achieve your ideal weight. 3) Make sure your refrigerator always has some veggies and fruits: Whenever you feel hungry, it is advisable to snack on fruits and veggies. So, stock carrots, apples, strawberries, musk melons and more of such amazing food items that are healthy yet yummy. 4) Have unsweetened beverages not diet soda: Diet drinks make your sweet tooth crave for more and also add to your waistline. Instead, try green tea that is loaded with antioxidants. 5) Eat a healthy meal with the plate method: Let half your plate be filled with low or non starchy veggies. A quarter can have whole grain elements. The last portion of your plate can have proteins. 6) Reduce your intake of carbs: To be able to lose weight quickly, one needs to refrain from eating too many carbs. You must choose to have higher fiber, lower carb food items instead. 7) Use smaller lunch and dinner plates: Buy smaller plates! Yes, this tiny trick can train your mind into eating less quantity of food. 8) Relish non-healthy food, but in small portions: Totally denying yourself of things you love to eat can leave you feeling frustrated. Eat it in small portions once in a while. 9) Choose to double the veggies instead of potato or rice when eating out: Have more of other veggies, and less of potatoes. Most importantly, share your food with others, especially desserts! 10) Don’t stock up your refrigerator with tempting foods: Create an inspiring environment in your home by stocking it up with healthy foods. 11) Make it a team effort : Work towards losing weight with your family or friends. Motivate others and notice how it helps you too. 12) Be positive and kind to yourself : Compliment yourself, believe that you can do it, and the results will definitely show!

Dear lybrate user, increasing weight does not mean that you will go fatty. In fact, extra fat serves as a precursor of many diseases. In order to increase your weight as well as stay healthy you have to increase the muscle mass of your body. Normally a muscle undergoes an increase in size when it gets hypertrophied due to weight training. Weight-training leads to the pumping of blood to the muscle resulting in increased protein synthesis in the muscles. This applies to every muscles of human body. So, weight training is a must to increase weight. Whenever a muscle gets hypertrophied it demands protein to expand. Here comes the need of protein supplement. The most effective protein supplement is whey protein. For quicker & better results take 40 grams of whey just after waking from sleep at morning. Take another 20 grams of whey just 30 minutes before workout. Again take 40 grams of whey just after you have finished your workout. Kindly remember gaining weight is a time -taking process. So do not expect any result within fortnight.

Nuts, such as almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds and flax seeds, are full of calories and make the perfect snack between meals. Munch on them to enjoy their taste, nutrients and of course weight gain. Nuts contain healthy fats and are a healthy way to increase your weight. However, do not stuff yourself with them, as you will not feel hungry for your next meal.

Or all those who want to put on weight are suggested to keep distance from junk foods which are not healthy for the body, since they are surely going add weight to the body but at the same time they also are said to add bad fat to the body. Go only with the foods which are said to increase nutrient intake for the body and provide with sufficient energy, some of these foods have been listed below for simplicity: salmon tuna paneer soya beans soya paneer-tofu eggs shrimps granola bars cheese paneer yoghurt walnuts dates apricots anjeer raisins nuts and oil seeds peanut butter chicken breast gaining weight is not an excuse to get fat and schedule daily visits to all-you-can buffets. I suggest you begin implementing one principle each week and watch your body stack on more muscle to your frame each week.

Hello mam. Good to know that your diabetes is well controlled. But it would had been great if you could had provided us with the values. Regarding bananas and coconut oil there is no as such contraindication if you can keep the rest of your calories under control. Hope this solves your query. Anything more then feel free to revert.

Dear to decrease your weight you have to do work out daily. Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. 3. Do this daily for at least three months. 4. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 5. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 6. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 10 min per asana. 7. Do running early morning daily and join aerobics in evening. 8. Avoid oily and spicy food. And constipation.

Continuously reading small print without proper light should be avoided. Smart phone may cause strain. Don't expose your eyes to extreme sunny weather of cold windy weather. It is difficult to suggest a diet for you since I am not aware of your food habits and patterns. However I will attempt to give some general tips for weight loss. 1. Aim for fitness and weight loss will follow. 2. Eat low calorie fruits / foods / salads one hour before every meal. 3. Cut down drastically portion size. Order less, take less, eat slowly. 4. Drink lots and lots of water through out the day. 5. Do 40 minutes intensive exercise daily. 6. Cut down all colas, juices, liquor from your diet. 7. Stay active and take a fitness challenge and work towards being fit for life.

Looking at your condition your doctor has rightly put you on a sulfonurea (glimer). A proper measure for knowing and managing your diabetes will be to ensure a hba1c below 6.5%. My guess is you would be around 7.2-7.5%. Regarding diet, we indians have high carbohydrate diet. You have to closely observe your plate and you can come up with a better diet plan for yourself. To simplify it, identify the items which are carb rich in your plate and try to compensate the same with protein and fibres, for eg cut down a roti and increase sabji, dal or salad. To have a better control you can do a monthly self glucose monitoring 3 times a day and keep a track of your food with it. Check fasting sugar, sugar one hour prior your lunch and 2 hrs post lunch, and note down the details of your breakfast and lunch items. Modify as per my earlier suggestions and within a week you will see your blood sugar level responding.

I am 36 years old my problems are as follows\ 1. My bp level is 170 to 145/ 90 to 110 2. Hair fall 3. Obesity 4. Following diet strictly still weight is not reducing 4. Sleepless nights 5. Depression my food habits are normal regular food intake by cooking myself & have been stopped intake of any kind of processed bottle drinks ( pepsi coke past 3 years ) stopped having fast foods, chips other snacks doing my best to avoid all processed foods! still there is no any improvements on my weight loss. only I used to have coffee every day at least 3 times a day! kindly advise .20 mins practicing excercise & I walk a lot for my business for marketing.
