Hello doctors. I'm 22 weeks pregnant and few days back I was diagnosed with UTI . My gynae prescribed monocef 1gm through iv twice a day for 5 days. Then again did the urine culture and still there was infection now I'm on inj fortum 1gm twice a day for 7 days. I'm really very worried does that affect my baby? Are these injections really safe. And what all can I do to cure it. Please reply. Thank you!

Dear to decrease your weight you have to do work out daily. Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. 3. Do this daily for at least three months. 4. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 5. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 6. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 10 min per asana. 7. Body composition is never the same for two individuals with the same body weight and of the same sex. It is vital to view your weight loss in light of your body composition. Since muscle occupies less space in your body than fat, leanness is determined by one's body composition and weight. The term body composition refers to the percentage of bone, fat, muscle and water content in your body.
Irrespective of the body composition you may have, if you're planning to lose weight naturally, having fibrous foods can help you to achieve that optimal body weight. The study suggests that people who have fiber in their diet tend to have healthy body weight. It provides your stomach with a full feeling and stimulates brain receptors to stop eating without adding any extra calories.
What is fiber?
Fiber is basically carbohydrate present in plant foods such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. In comparison to other forms of carbohydrates, fiber is not easily digested by the body. As a consequence, it passes quickly through your digestive tract without increasing your blood sugar levels. Additionally, it is the soluble fiber that absorbs water to form a type of gel inside your stomach, leading to a slowdown in the absorption of glucose. Lower levels of blood sugar indicate lower insulin levels, which significantly reduces the chances of your body storing fat.
According to experts, women below 50 years of age should have about 25 grams of fiber every day, and men should have about 38 grams. So, here are some of the high fiber foods that you need to include in your diet:

  • Split peas: contains 16.3 grams of fiber per cup
  • Black beans: contains 15 grams of fiber per cup
  • Lentils: contains 15.6 grams of fiber per cup
  • Broccoli: contains 5.1 grams of fiber per cup
  • Peas: contains 8.8 grams of fiber per cup
  • Raspberries: contains 8 grams of fiber per cup
  • Blackberries: contains 7.6 grams of fiber per cup

Although your investigations are negative I would still suggest that you get injections to suppress your ovarian function to see if you get any relief. This way we will be very sure whether the problem is Gynaecological in origin.

Many studies have demonstrated that fish oils and vitamin D help improve cognitive function, but what exactly is the mechanism of action? In an article just published in FASEB Journal, serotonin is described as the possible missing link, explaining why vitamin D and fish oil may have such a significant effect on neurological disorders.

Previous research has demonstrated that vitamin D helps regulate the conversion of tryptophan to serotonin, the neurotransmitter that affects a variety of cognitive functions including mood, decision-making, social behavior, impulsive behavior, and social decision-making. Many brain-based disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression commonly have low brain serotonin.

This 2015 study explains how serotonin is a critical modulator of executive function, impulse control, sensory gating, and pro-social behavior. Researchers link serotonin production and function to vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids, which suggests one way that these important nutrients help the brain function and affect our behavior.
Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) helps increase the release of serotonin from presynaptic neurons by reducing inflammatory signaling molecules in the brain known as E2 series prostaglandins. These inflammatory prostaglandins inhibit serotonin release, and thus negatively impact serotonin in the brain. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) also plays a role in the serotonin pathway. This essential fatty acid helps make several serotonin receptors more accessible to serotonin by increasing cell membrane fluidity in postsynaptic neurons.

This article demonstrates how low levels of these nutrients interact with genetic pathways, such as that of serotonin. This serotonin pathway is essential for brain development, social cognition, and decision-making. This also explains how these gene-micronutrient interactions may influence neuropsychiatric outcomes. Vitamin D controls approximately 1,000 genes, many of which are in the brain.

Assessing and supporting optimal vitamin D and essential fatty acids can help optimize brain serotonin concentrations and function. As a result, we can possibly prevent and alleviate some of the symptoms associated with these disorders without the harmful side effects.

Dear, you are much prone to develop diabetes. So it is advisable to check your fbs and ppbs regularly once a year if it is normal. Take care in diet and do regular exercise and note the change in weight. Don't be obese. Restrict sweet, oily, fast and junk food and cold drinks also.

I am 60 years Wife and two sons. No physical Relation with wife for last 8 years due to misunderstanding etc. Having a steady girlfriend aged 32 years for the last 10 years. She is totally devoted to me. Occasionally we had sex. Recently I am feeling depressed. I am trying to be physically and mentally healthy and happy. I don't take any medication for a long period. Nowadays I am unable to have sex because my penis unable to erect properly. I know If I can enjoy sex, I will be alright again. My wife and I myself sleep in separate bedrooms. I tried to convince her, mistake is a mistake. Forget and forgive me. Though we are in talking terms nowadays. Her health also deteriorated. Sons are well established. I am at a peculiar situation. Main problem is loneliness. If I want to see my girlfriend I have to go to her residence. I tried to have sex at her residence but could not perform. Nothing wrong in our relationship. It is mutually consented. Only two months back I was on tour with my girlfriend. I had sex with her three times in a day. We were satisfied and happy. Frankly speaking I am experimenting the key issue of being healthy and happy. I used to meditate, one hour walking from 6 am to 7 am and walking in relaxing mood in the evening for an hour. I want to remain perfectly happy and healthy in a natural way. I pray everyday that everybody should be happy and healthy and all of us should enjoy our life in perfection. Thank you.

Sir I understand your physical and psychological problem. I agree that men are always very concious about their sexual life. Even in eighties they do not want to be deprived of sexual life. In fact all the androgeic hormones are active in sexual life that keeps our lifes vigour and vitality. The problem now is with years wife for not co-operative with you. You should realise that che is depressed and dejected with years life style. Such ladies can not co - operate with you specially in sexual matters. Secondly because of her age and physical condition she has decreased libido. Inthese circumstances do not compel or expect sex from years wife. But continue to give her care love and respect in her life. She wpould then lead a happy and peaceful life with u. You are still healthy as you could perform with your friend. You enjoy years life and let years wife be happy with you without sex which has no taste or meaning in her life. No medications needed. Antibiotics are not very good for health. It kills harmful as well as beneficial bacteria in our body. It supresses the immune response. Better fr you to go for homoeopathic treatment. 1. Eat well – Take a balanced Diet comprising of 45% carbohydrate, 30% protein and 25% fat, plenty of green leafy vegetables, fruits. Don’t over eat. Avoid junk, spicy, oily, high calorie, cholesterol rich diet don’t skip your breakfast. Take warm, homemade food. Avoid food and drink from outside. Don’t skip or postpone your meal. Minimize consumption of refined grains like white rice, white bread, sugary or refined food. 2. Keep hydrated- Drink 2 liters /8-10 glasses of water daily 3. Do regular exercise for one hour daily like brisk walking/Jugging etc 4. Take adequate rest- 7-8 hours of sound sleep in the night is required to remain healthy 5. Avoid stress, anxiety, depression, agitation etc 6. Find time for relaxation and enjoyments with friends and family 7. Practice yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise to calm your mind, control emotion, improve concentration and relieve stress 8. Avoid smoking, consumption of tobacco and Alcohol 9. Get your Hemoglobin examined and consult doctor for a detail physical check up.
