Dear your bmi is 39.5, which is very high. Your weight shud be around 50-55. Do you have any other problem like diabetes, high bp, excessive snoring, high cholesterol. Please measure your height in cm and weight in kg correctly and revert back.

Hello,  obaesity ,being common ,now a days due to irregular life style.         ⁃       can be reduced, by opting-certain natural-norms in life & taking ,meal, judiciously.         •       Go for a brisk walk in d morning / evening at least 10 000, steps 45 mnts to restore blood circulation to nourish d whole body.    * Tk, 3/4 litres  of water, free from conteminents to eliminate toxins and to regulate metabolism to burn fats cell & prevent constipation.    Go for meditation to reduce your stress and to nourish cell& tissues to curb fats cells, improving haemoglobin level in blood.    * go for either, cycling, jogging, swimming, skipping, gardening, playing badminton, dancing,regularly.     * opt staircase, instead of a lift in your office.    * Tk, oats with green tea  or, 1 slice of whole grain bread with 1 cup of cooked vegetable soup + 1 fruit (pomegranate, pear) in d breakfast.     * Tk, salad, fruits,sprouts in ample qty in lunch, your meal b preferably, vegetarian ,high in proteins and fibre, maintains 1300-1600 calories through dietary  regulation.      * consume salad, fruits (not juice) whenever you feel hungry.         •       Avoid, nicotine,coffee, alcohol,junk food, cookies, burger,pizza ,butter, ghee,sitting on computer late in d night. # Homoeo medicines which r administered gently ,acts rapidly without any adverse effect, thereof. @ Phyto berryQ -10 drops, thrice, with little lukewarm water before each meal         •       Your feedback will highly b appreciated for further follow up, please. I am a 60 year old man. Though I do not eat much I still continue to have a pot belly. How do I get rid of this? I leave for work at 6 am in the morning and reach home from work at 9 pm or sometimes later. Only Sundays is free for myself. I am unable to do exercise on a regular basis. On Sundays I go for a one hour walk. I do drink Lemon Honey in warm water first thing after I wake up. Any suggestions?

Hi its always better to focus on being healthy and not gaining or losing weight. You need to have more muscle mass and lower proportion of fat cells in your body to give you that lean look and a healthy life. So to increase your muscle mass, you need a lifestyle modification that comprises of both, nutritious food and structured workouts.

What should be the balanced diet to control gaining fat and hoe to reshape hanging belly?
Being a dietitian my views: there is no single diet chart for everyone. To plan a specific diet we do collect lot of information like height, weight, food frequency, digestive history, medical history, likes, dislike, lifestyle, eating habits. Remember one thing to follow a diet it should be personalized according to person's body type and not generalized. Starting with there is no pills or powder or shake which can help you to lose weight in a healthy way. To lose weight eat an hour within walking up and dinner at least 2 hours before you sleep. Avoiding eating anything after dinner. Breakfast should be your king size have good complex carbohydrates and protein rich. Eat every 2 hours small frequent meal do help in weight loss. And do not overeat. One can come to ideal body weight with few lifestyle modification. Have green tea only 2 cups a day. For exercise I would say diet plays 80 % role and exercise plays 20 % role in losing weight. Personal advise on gym. You should not make your body habituated with machines rather do simple walk or surya namaskar or planks. So only with healthy eating one can lose weight.

Do exercise regularly like yoga, push ups, sit ups etc. These will help to build muscle and healthy body without extra body fat. Eat plenty of water specially before meals. Take lots of watery fruits, vegetables. Avoid fast foods. Avoid smoking, alcohol. Take stress free rest. Use lukewarm water after meals.

Hello, to gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start exercising. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2. Eat healthy. Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food and any form of sugar. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your daily food intake should ideally consist of nuts, dry fruits, seeds, almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. 3. Consume good amount of fruits and vegetables. Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. 4. Eat whole grains. Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. 5. Supplementation. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. 6. Increase protein intake. Protein proves to be the most essential nutrient when it comes down to gaining strength or building muscle. Therefore, consume all types of protein from both veg and non veg food items. Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow the regimen of weight gain religiously and you will soon start seeing the results.

Hi lybrate-user you should fallow this diets early morning take lemon juice in warm water with 1tsp honey breakfast milk cornflakes with apple, 11am take papaya full plate, lunch 2chapati, dsl, vegetables and salad, evening green tea with roasted channa, in dinner take milk cornflakes or oats with apple.

The problem is not eating enough and not eating right. If you eat sensibly and when the body needs you will not put on unwanted fats. Avoiding meals and crashing your intake to lose weight will in fact cause weight gain. Eat small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Stay active. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips. I am sure it will at least help you with initial fat loss.

You need to continue using antifungal cream for a month even after it has been cured as the fungus resides in the skin layers & has to be eradicated completely. Then I think, there would be no relapse.

Mr Abhishek, If diabetes is not in control . means either the treatment is inadequate or diet and exercise are not enough. Then we have to give a relook at the present drug treatment and dietary intake as well as exercise. A person with diabetes has to adapt a modified lifestyle - meaning taking a restricted diet that gives exact amount of calories based on Ideal Body Weight, blood sugar levels and extent of physical activity. Should avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries, red meat and egg yolk. Consume more green leafy vegetables, salads, permitted fruits (100 g a day). Exercise daily for 1 hour, best is to do brisk walking. Do a regular blood sugar check up and HbA1c% once in 3 to 6 months.

Maintain input out put ratio. Whatever you eat calculate calories that called input calories after that do exercise and burn some calories that is out put calories. Eat less exercise more weight will loos have a barley soup at dinner have a dinner at 8.00pm and sleep at 10---11.00pm. Avoid rice at night.
