Improve Your Posture Before it’s too Late

A good posture makes you stand tall. The right body posture is crucial for a healthy and strong, disease-free body. A correct body posture can help to alleviate all kinds of problems that might arise due to the practice of wrong posture such as chronic neck pain, back pain, and headache among others. Here’s how to avoid some of the common posture blunders:

1. Hunchback

You may know that sitting for long hours is bad for your health, but sitting hunched over the computer screen is especially harmful for your spine. When you’re in this posture, the chest muscles of your body tighten causing the top of the spinal column to form a C-shape. This can lead to pain in the back, shoulder and neck. To prevent your spine from curving in this manner, you can do the bhujangasana pose to strengthen your back.

2. Forward head

Likewise, sitting in a stooped manner in front of the computer can cause the problem of forward head and associated neck pain. Performing head nods on a daily basis can provide respite from the ache. For this, move your head towards the neck until your chin touches your neck. Hold on to this position for 5 seconds before going back to your original position. Repeat as needed.

3. Rounded shoulders

Intense training of the chest muscles or typing while not sitting straight can cause your shoulders to swivel forward, leading to rounded shoulders. This can prevent your arms from working at their full capacity while running or hamper your breathing ability while performing strenuous activities. One of the ways that you can fix this postural blunder is by doing some stretching exercises to relax your chest muscles.This workout can be easily done anywhere, as all you need is a doorway. Position your arms against one side of the doorway with your elbows bent at 90 degrees. Then, stretch your chest and shoulder muscles by placing your foot through the doorway. Hold the posture for about 30 seconds Whether your postural problem is mild or severe, it can affect your overall health and performance.

Wrong posture can cause you to experience skeletal system disorders such as kyphosis (outward curving of the spine) or lordosis (inward curving of the spine). If not corrected in time, the wrong body posture can also impact your self-confidence.

Hi lybrate-user sure, firstly you have to make sure you are avoiding junk, oily and processed food. Secondly for weight reduction start alternative fruit fasting. Means you have to eat seasonal fruit everyday, juices and water an no other thing and the other alternative day eat normal food. Try not to eat anything after sunset. If its not possible than dinner should not be later than 8: 00 pm. Start doing surya namsaskar daily and make it your daily habit of doing it, in morning empty stomach. For diabetes start eating fenugreek seeds (methi dana) in mornin. Put 1 teaspoon fenugreek seed in water in night and eat it in morning after surya namaskar. Eat for 90 days for permanent cure. Avoid sugar, eat khaand, mishri and gurh in place of it. Walk for 1 hour daily.

Bhuvanaji, if your mother diabetes and if it has been detected late in life, then it is most likely to t2 dm. This is a familial condition, meaning if parents have it, then children are likely to get it. But it is also a preventable disease. You can prevent it by adapting a modified life style, which means: regular exercise for more than 1 hour a day, maintaining normal weight, taking a balanced and restricted diet, giving exact calories based on ideal body weight and extent of daily exercise. Plus avoiding too much of sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods and pastries. Consuming more of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. Refraining form alcohol and smoking. Another common type of diabetes is t1 seen usually in children, where patients require insulin injection for survival and treatment.

I cannot comment upon ayurvedic medicines. Generally diabetes is not curable. It can be kept under control with treatment. If it remains uncontrolled it can lead to complications.

Eat local and seasonal foods. Include all food groups and avoid crashing your diet. Eat small frequent meals. When eaten at the right time and amount and sensibly then all natural foods are easy to digest.

The right way to reduce weight is making a balance in your diet and exercises both. Maintain your calorie intake to maximum of 1500/day and try to burn 500 calories per day through exercise the ratio of carbohydrates, protein and fat of the total diet should be: carbohydrates -50% protein-40% fat-10%

No medical/scientific study has indicated that masturbation leads to ill-health or weakness in the body. All in all it's a myth that masturbation is bad for health. Diabetes also has nothing to do with it.

If you are taking meal 2 times a day, you can have the same 4 times in divided doses. Try to avoid gluten containing food like bread, pizza, and burger. Always eat fresh food. No oily & junk food. You can have sprouts, salads, fruits or fruit juice in breakfast rather than bread, toast or artificial protein shake. Don’t eat immediately after exercise or yoga. Stretching exercises 10 minutes. Brisk walk 5 km daily or 25 minutes Yoga- surya namaskar & different yogasana for 25 minutes.

Hello, You BMI- 32( OVERWEIGHT) Regular exercise , cycling, jogging, walking, swimming Every day 1 glass Luke warm water with lemon •Eating plenty of fibre in your diet. Foods rich in fibre include wholegrain bread, brown rice and pasta, oats, peas, lentils, grain, beans, fruit, vegetables and seeds. •Having at least five portions, or ideally 7-9 portions, of a variety of fruit and vegetables per day. These should be in place of foods higher in fat and calories. For example, fruit makes a good, healthy snack if you feel hungry. • Limiting fatty food such as fatty meats, cheeses, full-cream milk, fried foods, butter, etc. Use low-fat options where possible. Examples are: •Skimmed or semi-skimmed instead of full-cream milk. •Using low-fat, mono-unsaturated or polyunsaturated spreads instead of butter. •If you eat meat, eating lean meat, or poultry such as chicken. • Try to grill, bake or steam rather than fry food. If you do fry food, choose a vegetable oil such as sunflower, rapeseed or olive. •Avoiding sugary drinks and foods such as chocolate, sweets, biscuits, cakes, etc. •Limiting other foods likely to be high in fat or sugar such as some take-away or fast foods. •Eating three meals a day and not skipping meals. Always have breakfast. Eat each meal slowly. Skipping meals will just make you feel more hungry, make you think more about food, and make you more likely to overeat in the evening or snack between meals. •Trying not to add salt to food, and avoiding foods that are salty

I would need some more details before prescribing a specific diet. However, for now please have 5-6 small meals in a day. You should drink 2 glasses warm water as soon as you wake up preferably with lemon in it. This is like washing your body internally. Follow it up with a fruit of your choice and then breakfast with in 30-45 minutes. You should have home made conventional breakfast. Take a fruit or green tea or sprouts in between breakfast and lunch. Take a balanced lunch try and include protein carbohydrate and fats. Not to forget 2 cups of salad. Take a light snack in the eve an early dinner is always good when you are trying to lose weight. Make sure you are drinking enough water through the day. Stained or yellow teeth are very common. You may clean the teeth by scrub made if strawberry, baking soda and salt.
Apply a paste of lemon juice and baking soda for whitening of teeth.
Apply alumin powder at night on your teeth for two to three minutes, hold it, and clean it with water daily for five minutes at night. Your teeth will shine.

This can be done in a few steps: eat less chapatis, less rice, i. E. Less carbohydrates. Take more pulses and pulses products. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid taking creamed milk and milk products. Also avoid eating fried foods, junk foods, canned foods, etc. Must take salad with your every main meal. Drink plenty of water. Take green tea instead of normal tea but not more than twice a day. Walk at least for half an hour after dinner at night. Take exercises daily as it helps in better absorption of food.

The total calories should be more than the energy required. There should be a step-wise increase in the calories, as a sudden increase may not be tolerated. Fluids should be restricted before and during meals. At night before going to bed, have warm milk. In your diet include 1 teaspoon of desi ghee (clarified butter) (preferably prepared from cow's milk) every day.
