Yes calories from hard liquor do add as much from any other source. There is no such thing called empty calories. Everything you eat has some amount of calories.

Respected Doctor, My wife gave birth a female child on Sep. 23.2015. It is a normal delivery. Now almost 4 months have been over. At birth time to reduce the stomach she bandaged by using cloth around her stomach for a 2 months. At that time the stomach is reduced but now the stomach size is being increased where is the wrong? Is there any excersize to do to decrease the stomach or else any other way? Please suggest me.

She should continue rigorous breastfeeding. Abdominal toning up exercises are necessary. Avoid high caloric diet, foods with hidden fats and fast foods. Stomach is not the only place. Hips and thighs are also prone to fat accumulation. Hope she is not diabetic or hypothyroid. BP needs to be checked. There are more issues......

To loss weight you need to strictly follow a diet regieme and exercise plan. Cut down food which are high in calories like processed food, sweetened beverages, white bread, pasta, cheese etc and stick to green leafy vegetables like spinach, peas, beans, fresh fruit juices .exercise daily including brisk walk of 20 min daily. And eventually turning to some heavy exercise. You can also try for zumba.

Hi reduce belly fat you need to be particular about food choices & timings. Eat small & frequent meals. Include high fiber foods in your diet such as whole cereals & whole pulses. Drink plenty of water. Avoid refined foods from your diet such as maida, pasta. Keep check on your food intake.

It is ideal for you to eat small quantities of nutritious food regularly to reduce your weight. It is ideal for you to include at least 30 to 45 minutes of exercise every day to see visible differences in weight. Have a breakfast by 8: 30 am in the morning and limit it to 250 to 300 calories. Have a handful of nuts as a mid morning snack at 10: 30 am have your lunch at 12.45 pm and make sure it is only a diet full of veggies and fruits. At 2: 30 pm have your afternoon snack that could be carrot sticks or apple with low fat peanut butter? at 6 pm have the last meal of the day that includes a cup of vegetables before the meal? then drink water and follow it with a cup of rice and lean meat.

Here is a sample diet to help you understand the diet. Early Morning: Green tea ( sugar less) Breakfast: non fried preparations/ whole wheat bread/ vegetable poha, upma, etc. / idli sambhar etc. Mid-Morning: Fruits ( avoid the carbohydrate rich fruits like grapes, banana, custard apple and watermelon) Lunch: 2 dry chapatti + sabji 1 katori + dal or skimmed curd – 1 katori + salad 1 katori Evening Snacks: Tea / Coffee sugarless + high fiber bis. OR Sprouts 1 katori Dinner: 2 chapatti + vegetable 1 katori + skimmed buttermilk 1 glass + salad 1 katori.

Get some relax during the work and walk for 15 min. In between the work. Intake healthy diet and green leafy vegetables. Drink 1 glass of milk every day with half table spoon of turmeric. Do cervical exercises for that. And not use pillow at night.

Hi lybrate-user firstly, start doing surya namaskar in morning and start eating triphla chooran (natural medicine) in morning empty stomach with luke warm water. Start a fruit dieting every alternative day, means you have to eat fruits every alternative days & normal fruit every other alternative days. Avoid late night dinners and try to eat nothing after sunset. Sit in vajrasana after every meal you eat for 10 minutes. Walk atleast 30 min in morning.

Hi. A properly planned diet and some medicines can increase your weight. Your intake of food and requirement of energy for your daily works should be matched properly. Its just like your bank balance and your daily expenditures. Naturally if you spend more your bank balance will decrease day by day. This may be a reasion of viral fever because many patient are complaining of these type of problems thay were suffering from fever or viral. So check your blood test dengue, typhoid, malaria.
