Its ok to take protein supplements if you body is able to utilize it and that can be only possible by strenuous exercise, but if not then it can be very harmful as it will affect your kidney and in future can lead to kidney failure.

Mr. Lybrate-user s r k, to suggest specific diet I need to know some more details like fasting and pp sugar levels, hba1c%, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise and drugs with dosage. Plus your tsh value (15.3 milli units/ml) is also high, this needs to be brought down to around 3 to 4 milli units / ml when you are on treatment for hypothyroid. As a rule a person with diabetes should avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods and pastries. Also should refrain from alcohol and smoking. Consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and permitted fruits about 100 g a day. Total calories to be taken should match your body weight, exercise level and sugar levels. Plus you should take 4 to 5 meals in a day, with each being smaller in quantity so that there is no excess glucose rise.

Hi 1) avoid oily, spicy, junk, fermented and stale foods, 2) sleep upto 10-10.30 pm, 3) avoid coffee and tea, a) eat 30-40 black currants and 1 tsf of jiggery during meals, b) take 200 ml of fresh butter milk with pinch of saindhav lavan after meals, c) take 30 ml of aamla juice along with 15 ml of honey in morning on empty stomach, d) take fresh juice of beet or pomegranate in morning instead of breakfast, e) do yoga and anuloma-viloma pranayam regularly for 20-30 minutes do all these things for 15 days gives you good result thanks.

Fever with chills and headache with restricted joint movements are few symptoms of chickungunya and take symptomatic treatment with rest and See to it that there is no stagnation of water in your house and nearby locality for more than seven days because these are the breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

Weight loss is the process that requires lifestyle modification with self discipline, determination and commitment. To loose weight you should eat properly and exercise regularly. Consume a nutritionally balanced diet. Eat right foods at right times and in right amount. Consume seasonal fruits, leafy vegetables and salads. Avoid long gaps between the meals. Stay hydrated. Avoid sweets, junk and processed foods, cold drinks.

1. For increasing weight ...First we have to work on ur digestive system..It will do Aam pachan and will increase ur digestive power and appetite.... 2. Mix 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon, ginger and cumin powder with honey to make a paste. Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.. 3. Take small meals 4-5 times a day.. 4. Eat healthy n light food .. 5. Drink plenty of fluids.. 6. Avoid constipation... 7. Walk 1km daily in evening... 8 .Follow up after a week. FOR ACNE..: 1.Mix equal proportions of Fuller’s earth (multani mitti), rose water, and sandalwood powder. 2.Apply this mud pack to your face. 3.Wash after it dries up. 4.Repeat the process once a week. 5.Mix one tablespoon of lemon juice with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and put it on the pimples overnight. In the morning, wash the skin well with lukewarm water. However, this particular remedy is not suitable for those with sensitive skin. 6.Rinse your face with water and pat it dry. Crush up mint leaves thoroughly, you can use a blender but a mortar and pestle works quite well if you happen to have one lying around. Rub the juice and crushed leaves on your face and leave for 5-10 minutes before rinsing off thoroughly with cold water.

Dear. Follow these best tips to get in shape and loose weight. * body become over weight due to deposition of fatty tissues. First you should follow diet plan for weight loss. * in morning, take 2-3 chapattis witha bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of without cream milk after 2 hour of breakfast. *in lunch you can take a bowl of soup or salad. *in evening, you can take a cup of teawith glucose biscuits. *in dinner, you can take a bowl of fruits or 2 chapattis with a bowl of vegetables. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. To reduce the tummy, * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * lie down on plain surface, put your hands on the back of head by folding your elbows, now move your head towads the knees try to touch your knees with forehead and then move back and lie down. Repeat it for 5-10 times daily for flat tummy. * do surya namaskar yoga everyday, as surya namaskar have 12 forms of yoga. Do it for in morning everyday to get in shape in short period. * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories.

A) take 2 tsf of SHATAVARI KALP with 250 ml of lukewarm water, in the morning instead of break fast…B) take 60 ml of triphala juice along with 15 ml of honey, at night before sleep…. C) take 10 gm of FENNEL SEEDS along with jiggery and 1 tablet of vasantkusumakar rasa after meals…D) eat 4-5 seeds of ALMONDS during meals…do all these things for 30 days…it gives you good result…. Drink water 30 mins before and 30 mins after the meals. Some other points to keep in mind: Eat fresh, sattvic food of the best quality you can afford. Do not eat unless you feel hungry. Do not drink unless you feel thirsty. If you are hungry and you drink instead of eating, the liquid will dissolve the digestive enzymes and reduce your gastric fire. Sit, don’t stand, to eat. When eating, eat. That is, don’t read, watch TV, or be distracted by too much conversation. Focus on the food. Chew well, at least 32 times per mouthful. This enables the digestive enzymes in the mouth to do their work properly. Eat at a moderate speed. Don’t gobble your food.

FACTS ON TEA -DAILY REFRESHING DRINK

When we speak of tea, it is commonly assumed to be black tea with milk and sugar. However, the word ‘Tea’ means any herb. This means even hot Tulsi water is Tulsi tea or hot mint water is Mint tea. Many herbs can be converted into tea such as jasmine tea, lemon tea, lemon grass tea, masala tea, sounf tea etc.

When the decoction of the leaves and the water is reduced to 50% on boiling, it is called Kadha. Black tea without milk and sugar is much healthier than black tea with milk and sugar.

Classical tea without sugar and milk has an astringent taste. But according to Ayurveda, this is good for health as it reduces Kapha imbalance. When sugar and milk is added, both of which have sweet taste, they neutralize the weight reducing and kapha–relieving properties of the black tea. Therefore, milk or sugar should not be added to tea. For the purpose of taste, one can add Gur or jaggery or artificial plant sweetener Stevia.

Black tea is also a mild diuretic and increases urination as it contains caffeine, which is also a stimulant. This is the reason why tea is used to remain awake. In this regard, coffee is stronger than tea. When taken in moderation, black tea is good for the heart and general health. If one has to choose tea then jasmine, lemon and lemongrass teas are better.

In Ayurveda, different teas have been prescribed for different personalities. Therefore, you can get vata–pacifying tea, pitta–pacifying tea and kapha–pacifying tea.

Hi lybrate-user go for brisk walk 45 minute daily. Take 3 cup green tea daily (jasmine flavour). Have diet rich in fruits vegetable salads & multigrain aata roti avoid rice, deserts, and fried stuffed. Drink 2-3 liters water in a day.

Type 2 diabetes and Erectile Dysfunction may appear as different ailments but they do have a connection. Reports suggest men suffering from Type 2 diabetes are likely to experience Erectile Dysfunction. Moreover, diabetic people suffer from Erectile Dysfunction 10 to 15 years earlier than others.

Reason: The reason behind the connection between the two ailments is quite complex. The whole scenario involves deterioration in nerves, muscle functioning and blood vessels. For successful penetration of penis, body requires healthy functioning of blood vessels, nerves, hormones and sexual desire. Type-2 diabetes hamper the proper functioning of these blood vessels and nerves, thus posing a potential threat to a successful sexual intercourse. Diabetes becomes a big obstacle in obtaining a firm erection. Also, non-regulated flow of blood through these blood vessels adds up to the problem.

Factors Contributing to Erectile Dysfunction due to Diabetes:
Complexities due to Type-2 diabetes increases exponentially when aided with following risk factors-

Hye, Thanks for the query. You are underweight for your height. Gaining weight requires you to eat more calories than you burn. Although fried or sugary foods are calorie dense, eating them exclusively won’t provide enough nutrition to keep you energetic and healthy. Eating several meals and snacks throughout the day and including nutritious, calorie-dense food will help you gain weight healthfully. Weight gain depends primarily on your genetics, age, weight and activity level. To gain weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. If you’re not used to eating large quantities of food at one time, you may find it difficult to fit all of your calories into three meals per day. Eating nutritious, calorie-dense foods every two to three hours will help you get your calories in without making you overly full and sluggish. If you tend to forget to eat or are always on the go, bring calorie-dense snacks such as eggs, mixed nuts, fruits and dairy. Nutritious, calorie-dense foods provide essential vitamins and minerals, which promote good health and energy. Adding ghee and cream to foods adds additional calories for very little extra physical bulk. Fruit juice, masala milk provides crucial nutrients. Meal-replacement shakes and protein powder sound like good options but also remember that unless your diet is not planned sadly they won't help.

Why do my lower body increases when my thyroid raise I have done thyroid and I lost, 34 kgs it happens with me after loosing weight I am very much depressed as my lower body increases and my thyroid raises every 3 months even on regular dose of tablet I take 75 mg and do regular exercise also my tsh is always 7.5 or something around that I am taking thyrox 75 mg.

Lybrate-user, if hypothyroidism is not well controlled then weight reduction is difficult. To achieve very good control tsh levels should come around 3 to 4 milli units /l. With 7.5 milli units/l weight reduction is not possible, because it shows that hypothyroidism is not in control. Once you achieve that then efforts to reduce weight will be successful. Plus you will have to take a restricted diet giving exact calories based on ideal body weight, plus regular exercise of over 1 hour a day. Thanks for the question.
