If You Have These Symptoms Check For Arthritis!

If You Have These Symptoms Check For Arthritis!

Our skeletal structure is truly a work of art however, when we are faced with bone related disorders, our lives is no less than a roller coaster ride. Arthritis is one such ailment which can really alter the quality of life of a person who suffers from it. Taking into account the impact, would it not be good to know the symptoms of early arthritis, so it can be detected before it gets too bad?

There are a few symptoms of the condition, but it is to be noted that the intensity of the symptoms even in the earlier stages of the issue do vary widely. As a matter of fact, the problem can be developing for months on end without a person even knowing that he or she has arthritis while on the other hand, there are quite a few cases in which a person is provided with an almost instant ‘notification’ that arthritis has started having its degenerative impact on his or her joints.

What signs to watch out for?
There are three areas that need attention if trying to detect arthritis:

  1. Knees: When a person is in the process of developing arthritis, the signs he or she should be aware of include his or her knees being shaped like an outward curve; if he or she is developing the condition in the knee. Apart from this, a limp can also be seen for a lot of people who develop arthritis which affects the joints which bear the weight of the body. The best example of this is a case of arthritis affecting the ankle or the knee.
  2. Neck: If a person has a near constant pain in the lower back or also of the neck, he or she should be aware of the fact that there could be arthritis developing and it is important for a doctor to be consulted about the same.
  3. Fingers: In some cases, the signs of arthritis may not even be the cause of pain to a person. This is true when a person begins to develop something such as Bouchard’s node; which affects the fingers when arthritis begins to set in on the digits. These nodes are not painful, in most cases, but, it is to be kept in mind, that they have the ability to limit the motion of the fingers which are affected.

Arthritis is something that can and should be limited to as far an extent as possible, rather than being allowed to worsen a person’s condition and not allow him or her to have the freedom he or she is used to having in life.

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Hello, I am 34 female. I had ASD device closure 9 years back, last month I had an attack of tachycardia for 30 mnts. Next day I had done my ECHO, ecg Blood tests (lipid profile), all seem to be normal cardiologist suggested me to take met xl 12.5 mg twice and he said he will do holter in next month. I also suffer from palpitations almost regularly I take medicine for hypothyroid. I am very scared particularly of heart attack & I have very frequent episodes of general discomforts. Abdominal disturbances problem is, even with any slight discomfort in my chest, arm or any where, I got very scared, particularly of heart attack & I have very frequent episodes of general discomforts. Abdominal disturbances also occur with other discomforts (like dull ,sometimes sharp but point specific pain in chest for 5-6 secs, point specific pain in left arm). Can these pain & discomfort be heart related? Now I have a feeling that my doctors are not taking my concern seriously. My life is getting miserable.

Hello, I am 34 female. I had ASD device closure 9 years back, last month I had an attack of tachycardia for 30 mnts. ...
Don't worry. You must be having some arrhythmia which will be picked by Holter test and managed accordingly. Arrhythmia are common after asd. But most of them are manageable. please do stop Metolar 48 hrs before Holter test. Otherwise picking of arrhythmia will be difficult. As per your query of heart attack very less chances. Normally God gives us one heart disease at time not two. Thanks.

Hi some foods like Papaya are said to be good for cartilage, disc in spine. Omega3 fatty acids from fish oil, or fish like mackerel, tuna are said to have anti inflammatory properties. But as doctor meghana advises, diagnosis of cause of pain ,pathology has to be confirmed and proper investigation and tests, medication, physical measures, therapy have to be priority, good and modified food, supplements are supportive measures to minimise inflammation but not the only remedy. Some naturopathy, other alternative management are all supportive and often helpful too.
