Hi doctors I had a tooth problem my last two teeth has a black patch and it's paining continues what to do?

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
A black patch on your teeth is suggestive of tooth decay. As you said that there is pain too, you surely require to get those teeth treated at the earliest. Depending on the extent of decay your teeth may require filling or root canal treatment. Tooth decay if left unattended will go on increasing leading to loss of your teeth. Please visit your dentist at the earliest.

I am suffering from mouth odour even after brushing tried many toothpastes but don't get rid from this. Please help.

MDS - Periodontics
Dentist, Surat
I think you need professional cleaning. There are many areas where a patient can not brush effectively. Also if you have tartar, its difficult to clean. So get your scaling done by a dentist. Also keeping tongue cleaned is necessary. Drink more of a water and you can also use teeth friendly chewing gums to freshen up your mouth odor. But all this will not give good result without professional cleaning. Consult your dentist.

Kaya mouth se smell ana sinus ka problem ho sakti hai? Physician ne kaha. Help me.

BDS
Dentist, Bhavnagar
No. It's a sign of poor oral hygiene or any other medical condition. Get scaling done at the first place and maintain good oral hygiene. Use a good quality mouthwash. If the problem still persists, you should undergo some tests.

Taste and health at the same time - eating a piece of cheese after meals helps in pulling away some of the plaque from the mouth and also tiny leftover food particles. And since it contains calcium, it adds to bone health and teeth health too.

Dentist,
Hi narender. This is not a very alarming situation. Some people have higher numb of bacteria in mouth as comparwd to others. Bt you can always have your dental appointment prior to them. Visit a kearby dntist have a proper oral prophylaxis. Use gud mouthwash use tongue scrapper afrer brushing. Keep your mouth clean and if possible get a culture done for the white layer forming on your tongue. U might have undergo an antibiotic course for it bt may be. Visit a dental clinic for proper examination and advice. Regards.

Sir. I have pain on my teeth because I eat sweets to much and I do not live without sweets. So sir give advice what I can do or not.

We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning, root canal treatment & capping. Until then apply clove oil on the decayed tooth. Rinse frequently with mouth wash.

Cavity has taken place in my chewing teeth and it pain alot along with the roots What should I do now?

BDS
Dentist, Lucknow
Treatment dental pain teeth pain may be due to various reasons like infection, sensitivity or trauma. If your teeth is decayed it is better to get it filled or treated by a dentist. If you are opting for root canal treatment do not forget to get a crown on the effected tooth. If you want to go for only medicinal treatment so let me tell you only medicine are not going to be very effective untill you get this treated by a dentist.

I have bad breath. I tried doing many things but can not understand why it happens & how to stop.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

•Eat a healthy, balanced diet and avoid eating strongly flavoured or spicy food. •Cut down on sugary food and drink, as it can increase the amount of bacteria in your mouth. •Reduce your alcohol consumption. •Stop smoking. •Cut down on coffee. •Drink plenty of water to help prevent your mouth becoming dry. •Chew sugar-free gum after eating, to stimulate the flow of saliva. This will help clean away any remaining food particles. •Don't use toothpaste to clean your dentures, as it can scratch the surface and cause stains. •Clean your dentures thoroughly using soap and lukewarm water, denture cream or a denture-cleaning tablet. •Use a separate toothbrush to clean your dentures. •Make sure you visit your dentist for regular check-ups. Having regular dental check-ups will ensure that any plaque is removed from your teeth, particularly in areas that are difficult to reach. •Your dentist can recommend the best way to clean your teeth and gums, and point out areas you might be missing. They can also identify any signs of gum disease and ensure early treatment. •Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. •If your bad breath is caused by a gastrointestinal problem, such as an H. Pylori infection or gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), you may be referred to a gastroenterologist. •Persistent bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth may be a warning sign of gum (periodontal) disease. Gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque on teeth. •You may need deep cleaning & fill tooth cavities with artificial enamel filling. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too.

Sometimes after traumatic or difficult extraction leads to formation of scar tissue (gaanth. It will be of normal pink-brownish colour with no pain on touching. But it never became big and small with time frequently. Consult with some other dentist.

Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months. Changing the toothbrush alone donot keeps your teeth clean. All toothpaste have nearly similar ingredients like Abrasives, Fluorides, Surfactants, Antibacterial agents, Flavourants, Remineralizers, Fluoride, Diethylene glycol, Triclosan etc. Only the wrong brushing technique that we follow harms our teeth and gums. So consult your dentist, learn proper brushing technique, Brush your teeth twice a day, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush to protect your teeth and gums from plaque and calculus. Floss your teeth inter dentally once a day. Consume a healthy diet rich in vegetables and lean protein. Reduce your intake of sugary foods and beverages. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Drink plenty of fluoridated tap water. Drink not consume alcohol drinks. Don’t smoke.
