You can take a pain killer tablet like brufen 400 / combiflam /diclogem for a temporary relief and consult a dentist for proper treatment of the tooth to avoid same problem in future. (note: pain killer tablets are also not solution because they only treat the symptom and not the cause of tooth pain. Also harmful for the body if taken for longer periods without proper supervision.) pain can be due to various factors visit your dentist and get a proper examination done which may include x-rays if necessary, to get a precise diagnosis, after which dentist can give you exact alternatives of treatment options and then you can make decision as to get which appropriate treatment suitable to your problem and needs. 5 Ways You Are Unknowingly Staining Your Teeth

5 Ways You Are Unknowingly Staining Your Teeth

You may often find that no matter how much you brush your teeth or whichever teeth whitener you might use, your teeth still appear stained and your smile still appears dull. There are certain foods, such as coffee, alcohol like red wine, soya sauce etc. which can be considered obvious culprits. However, it is not only the foods that cause staining, several other factors contribute to this as well. Following is a list of 5 things which can stain your teeth sooner than you think.

1. High intake of tea
Research has suggested that tea, be it brewed tea, green tea or iced tea, causes a high level of staining in your teeth; often in levels much higher than coffee. This is because tea contains a high level of tannins and also high amounts of acid, which aid the staining process, and eventually lead to much yellower teeth and long-lasting stains.

2. Drinking high amounts of lemonade
Lemonade is rich in sugars and acids, which effectively lead to wearing down of the enamel and exposing the next layer called the dentin, which itself is yellow in color. This makes the teeth appear yellowish. In cases where the enamel coating on your teeth is thin, the acid erosion takes place quicker; often leading to stained teeth. This condition may often become permanent or semi-permanent, with modes of reversal becoming increasingly difficult.

3. Extended periods of medication-intake
Injuries or illnesses, which lead to taking medications for sustained periods, can negatively affect the flow of blood to the teeth. This may lead to discoloration and staining. Certain medications, such as cough syrups which are rich in sugars can, also result in yellowing of teeth.

4. Swimming for long durations
Swimming for prolonged periods [usually around 6 hours a week in chemically-treated pools, can also lead to the browning of your teeth. This is because, often when you open your mouth and let water in, you allow certain chemicals to enter your mouth which can have adverse reaction on the tooth enamel. This ultimately leads to teeth corrosion and eventual staining.

5. Having excessive sugary drinks
Certain drinks which contain large amounts of synthetic food coloring increase sugar levels and aid the growth of bacteria in your mouth, thus causing tooth decay and discoloration of teeth.

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. May be viral pharyngitis. If so, there is no specific treatment for viral pharyngitis. You can relieve symptoms by gargling with warm salt water several times a day (use ½ teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water). Taking anti-inflammatory drugs or medications, such as acetaminophen, can control symptoms.

At your age it may be a wisdom tooth. Which is generally partially erupted due to lack of space and covered with a flap of gum which gets infected when food debris stuck below it. This is called pericoronitis. You should visit your dentist and get some medicines prescribed with localized cleaning. If the problem persists then extraction of that wisdom tooth is advised.

Is there any disadvantage for cap after root cannel treatment. Please suggest

BDS
Dentist,
After root canal treatment cap is mandatory esp for back teeth since we place a lot of force on back teeth, cap is given in two conditions one the tooth should not break after rct since it becomes brittle and other condition is the cement gets microporous and re infection occurs so cap is must.

How generat new teeth?

BDS
Dentist,
You cannot generate the new teeth (permanent) once you lost it. The only thing you can do to save them in time. Regular dental check up and cosultation with the dentist will help you to save the teeth which you have. And replace the missing teeth with the artificial teeth.

I have sensitivity in lower front teeth for six months. Wat is the treatment. And remedy to solve it.

I have sensitivity in lower front teeth for six months. Wat is the treatment. And remedy to solve it.
Hello Ms. Lybrate-user sorry to know that you have been suffering for the past 6 months sensitive teeth tooth has a layer on the top called enamel which is a protective layer preventing leakage into the layers beneath this. The next layer below this enamel is called dentine, which is a very sensitive layer. So when you say your tooth is sensitive which means that your enamel is probably missing in few areas or thin in few areas exposing the second layer which is a sensitive layer. There are few toothpastes available in the market which combat sensitive teeth. It works for few individuals. However meet your dentist to actually diagnose the problem and then go ahead with treatment. Your dentist might suggest you simple enamel fillings or any other type of treatment which is appropriate depending on the severity of your sensitivity. Tooth sensitivity can also be due to your gums shrinking and making your tooth look longer. Which would need gum treatment to be done. However get your medical records updated and mention to the dentist if you have any gastric regurgitation, which cud be the cause at times. Minimize the intake of carbonated drinks, citrus fruits, squeezing lemon to food, consumption of wine as these are the very few major culprits to dissolve the top layer of the tooth and exposing the second layer thus making your teeth sensitive. Stay away from tobacco related habits which also makes your teeth sensitive try to use soft tooth brushes to prevent unnesasary wearing of the tooth surface. Your dentist would be the right person to customize the plan which suits you the best as every individual is unique. I hope I clarified your query ping me back if you need any more clarification good luck and god bless.
