After having typhoid in 2015 I never got my complete hair back. I used to have very thick and healthy hair. I have been using nilibringadi since September 2017 to improve thickness, but no use. So from past three months I switched to this mixture of castor oil, rosemary essential oil, olive oil and almond oil. unfortunately it turned a nightmare. There is hair all over my bed and room. The moment I comb my hair I loose 20 to 40 strands.

Dear lybrateuser, - To build muscles have a well balanced diet with more of protein rich foods - have fruits, vegetables including green leafy & seasonal ones, whole grains like whole wheat, brown rice, oats, corn, quinoa instead of refined ones, protein rich foods such as eggs, non veg, milk & milk products like cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese, butter milk, soya products, tofu, beans, lentils, pulses, sprouts, nuts such as almonds, walnuts, pista, cashew, seeds like flax, chia, sesame - include a protein food item in each of your meals & also as a snack in between meals to provide you constant energy - also do regular exercise including weight bearing ones to build your muscles.

If you have problem in your legs then it might be due to ligament laxity where your legs would become very weak due to the old ligament injury and that should be treated immediately. Wear knee cap so that you will feel firm while walking or climbing stairs. This is a general strain and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try! One time you can do hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain. If you have leg pain then you have to rule out the casues for having leg pain. First of all check your weight and your haemoglobin levels, as Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there are no issues with the knee joint or back pain. Since you met with an accident probably you would've had blood loss and also you must be having mineral or calcium deficiency that is one reason to feel very rigid or stiff in that area. Hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain. Keep ice in the area where you have pain/or where the muscle is injured.

Hye, Thanks for the query. There is no shortcut to weight gain. Your weight is dependent on genetics as well as diet. Gaining weight requires you to eat more calories than you burn. Although fried or sugary foods are calorie dense, eating them exclusively won’t provide enough nutrition to keep you energetic and healthy. Eating several meals and snacks throughout the day and including nutritious, calorie-dense food will help you gain weight healthfully. Weight gain depends primarily on your genetics, age, weight and activity level. To gain weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. If you’re not used to eating large quantities of food at one time, you may find it difficult to fit all of your calories into three meals per day. Eating nutritious, calorie-dense foods every two to three hours will help you get your calories in without making you overly full and sluggish. If you tend to forget to eat or are always on the go, bring calorie-dense snacks such as eggs, mixed nuts, fruits and dairy. Nutritious, calorie-dense foods provide essential vitamins and minerals, which promote good health and energy. Adding ghee and cream to foods adds additional calories for very little extra physical bulk. Fruit juice, masala milk provides crucial nutrients. Meal-replacement shakes and protein powder sound like good options but also remember that unless your diet is not planned sadly they won't help.

Causes And Symptoms Of COPD!

Pulmonologist, Nagpur
Causes And Symptoms Of COPD!

COPD, which is short for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, is a severe form of lung disease that is characterized by increased breathlessness and obstruction of airflow from the lungs. People who are suffering from COPD are at an increased risk of developing lung cancer, heart diseases and many other conditions. It includes progressive lung diseases such as chronic bronchitis, emphysema, few forms of bronchiectasis and refractory (non-reversible) asthma. The former two are the most common conditions contributing to COPD.

Chronic bronchitis induces inflammation in the airway that carries air to the lungs and fills it with mucus. This either completely blocks the airway or narrows it, causing difficulty in breathing. However in emphysema, the air sacs inside the lungs which inflate and deflate as you breathe in and out, lose their elasticity due to which less air comes in and goes out leaving you breathless.

The best way to treat COPD is to quit smoking. Your doctor may also prescribe you medications or ask you to enroll in a lung rehab program.
Causes:

  1. Smoking: Smoking is one of the most common causes of COPD. This is because smoking is known to destroy the stretchy fibers in people's lungs and irritate the airways. Even passive smoking is unhealthy. About 90% of the people having COPD are current or former smokers.
  2. Genetics: Some individuals suffer from COPD even after refraining from smoking. Genes might be at the helm of COPD in such a case. AATD i.e. Alpha -1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, is a protein in the lungs, the lack of which is one of the most common genetic factor causing emphysema.
  3. Environmental Factors: Breathing in harmful pollutants present in your environment is also one of the causes of COPD. Fumes, dust or certain chemicals are a few examples of harmful lung irritants. Organic cooking fuel may also cause COPD. Exposing yourself to the aforementioned environmental factors for a prolonged period of time increases your risk of developing COPD substantially.

Symptoms:

  1. Shortness of breath especially after exercising
  2. Wheezing
  3. Tightness in your chest
  4. Unintended weight loss
  5. Lack of energy
  6. Frequent respiratory infections
  7. Wheezing
  8. Cough accompanied by mucus

Diagnosis:

  1. Physical Exam where your doctor monitors the functioning of your lungs.
  2. Questioning about your past health (Smoking or other harmful lung irritants).
  3. Spirometry and other breathing tests.
  4. Chest x-rays and other tests to eliminate other problems which could be causing your symptoms. If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult a pulmonologist.

Hello, To reduce Alzheimer's risk, focus on healthy fats. Get plenty of omega-3 fats. Evidence suggests that the DHA found in omega-3 fatty acids may help prevent Alzheimer's disease and dementia by reducing beta-amyloid plaques. Food sources include cold-water fish such as salmon, tuna, trout, mackerel, and sardines. Here are few foods you should add into your diet that can help improve your mind:- Green leafy vegetables, Cruciferous vegetables like Broccoli, cauliflower,Beans and legumes.Whole grains, Berries and cherries,Pumpkin, squash, asparagus, tomatoes, carrots and beets.Omega 3s.
