How to get rid of under eye problems and pimples can you please suggest any better creams for that.
1. Most important thing is take lots of rest as a routine part of your life. Sleep for atleast 8 hours 2. Limit your screen life. Take breaks while working on computer and wash eyes frequently with cold water. 3. Wash your face twice with a good cleanser like tea tree face wash and use soothing toner like rose water or tea tree after that. 4. Use Kojic Acid based cream below eyes for atleast 4 months.

BHMS
Homeopath, Sindhudurg
I am 27 year old female married. My hair roots have become very week lately and having lots of hairfall. Please advice.
It is normal to lose about 30-80 strands of hair in a day. The common reasons behind hair fall are lack of essential nutrients in the body, improper and unhealthy dietary habits, hormonal imbalance, certain medications, dandruff, alopecia and other scalp disorders, stress and tension etc. Natural oils such as coconut, olive, jojoba, almond etc. Can be used to massage the scalp for countering hair fall. Gently massage the scalp prior to head bath twice a week. Also check hemoglobin for anaemia and thyroid status with serum tsh. Have more proteins and trace minerals like copper, zinc, selenium in diet. Start taking a hair nutrition supplement. Keep stress away with regular exercise, yoga, meditation. Get the underlying scalp condition like dandruff treated.

Its better to take chemical peeling for skin whitening or revlite laser treatment please please answer.

MBBS, DPD-Cardiff (U.K)
Cosmetic Physician, Noida
Its better to take chemical peeling for skin whitening or revlite laser treatment please please answer.
A package designed with a combination of both the treatments will be most affective. Its possible to achieve your basic color back by taking a skin lightening treatment regimen for 6-8 months, consisting of sunscreens, skin lightening creams, antioxidants and multivitamins and external treatments like peels. After this you will have to maintain the results by application of sunscreen and moisturisers daily. A combination of all these treatments with Q-switch laser can help you achieve lightening of the pigment. Stick to the treatment for 8-10 months and take optimum sessions of the laser.

Hello sir /mam I have white discharge before periods I m worries about, tell me what should I do that is serious or not?
Vaginal discharge is a whitish liquid that is produced in the uterus and is discharged by way of vagina. It is a normal process and it generally begins in a girl life when she is due to attain puberty or prior to menstruation. It is the nature’s way of keeping the vagina healthy and lubricated. Women experience vaginal discharge all through their lives though it reduces after they reach the menopausal stage. Normal vaginal discharge helps to keep the vagina clean and healthy. It does not have a bad odour or you can say that it has no smell at all and you may see the traces of discharge on your under garment. It is normal for vaginal discharge to increase under certain conditions like- A few days before menstruation During pregnancy During ovulation Hormonal treatment Sexual excitement Emotional stress Tips To Deal With The Normal Secretion You can use panty liners to prevent the fluid from escaping and spoiling your clothes. It is also hygienic as the liners will absorb extra moisture and will keep you dry. Wear under garment that are made with cotton yarn as this will keep your skin dry and the discharge will not cause any kind of skin allergy When you have increased discharge, avoid wearing tight clothes like skin fitted jeans or slacks to let the skin breathe. Keep yourself clean and wash the vaginal area with mild soap and water twice a day. When the secretion is more than normal and it creates irritation or emanates a bad odour, it indicates the presence of infection in the vaginal tract. This condition is commonly known as Leucorrhoea. I want to gain my weight, Suggest me some food or diet plan for gaining my weight?

MSc
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Chandigarh
I want to gain my weight,
Suggest me some food or diet plan for gaining my weight?
It is not a good idea to eat mega-meals at fast food joints or high- in- fat foods to gain weight. An effort like this will increase your body fat, putting you at risk for health problems. Rather work on improving the quality of your diet. Focus on eating healthy, growing strong and staying fit. Try eating six small healthy meals per day. Include 2 to 3 servings of fruits and vegetables in the day. Drink juice and smoothies made with milk and fresh fruit. Snack on dried fruit and nuts and high-fiber savories. If you are an exerciser, eat before and after workouts, and keep yourself hydrated. Here are some ideas: •Use whole fat dairy products such as whole milk, regular cheese and yogurt, cottage cheese. •Modify Cooking: Experiment by adding almonds to salads, cashews to a trail mix, or granola to yogurt. •Use" Extras" Try mixing in Ovaltine or almonds with a glass of milk. Add dried fruit or granola to yogurt. Mix in nuts, such as cashews or almonds to salads, trail mixes or cottage cheese. •Increase portion size gradually: Slowly try to increase the overall volume of the food at each meal, starting with one meal. For example, try adding one food item to a typical breakfast such as - add some fruit to cereal and milk. Then try increasing the amount of cereal. Once portions have increased over a few days at breakfast, add more to dinner or lunch. •Small meals of nutrient dense foods which you enjoy – this optimizes the smaller stomach capacity and provides structure. •Liquid supplements taken with or between meals – milk with complain, fruit milkshake… this is especially imp when it is necessary to overcome the lack of interest in food and eating. •Get adequate exercise and sleep/ rest.

Stricture Urethra - Signs You Are Suffering From It!

MBBS MS DNB MNAMS NYAMS
Urologist, Mohali
Stricture Urethra - Signs You Are Suffering From It!

The tube transporting urine from the bladder out of the body is known as the urethra. Under normal circumstances, this tube is wide enough for urine to flow freely but in some cases, one or more section can get narrowed and restrict the flow of urine. This may be diagnosed as a urethral stricture. This length of this stricture can range from 1 cm to affecting the entire length of the urethra.

This is caused by scar tissue or inflammation of tissue in the urethra. While this is a common condition that affects men, it is rarely seen to affect women. An enlarged prostate, exposure to STDs like gonorrhoea or chlamydia, suffering from an infection that causes urethral inflammation and irritation or having had a catheter recently inserted can increase the risk of suffering from a urethral stricture. An injury or tumour located near the urethra can also cause this condition. Hence, preventing this condition is not always a possibility.

Common symptoms to look out for include:

  1. Inability to urinate
  2. Reduction in the flow of urine
  3. Increased urge to urinate frequently
  4. Pain while urinating
  5. Urinary incontinence
  6. Abdominal pain
  7. Swelling of the penis
  8. Discharge from the urethra
  9. Blood in the urine or semen
  10. Dark urine
  11. The bladder feeling gull even after urinating

A physical examination and tests that measure the rate of urine flow and chemical composition of the urine can help a doctor determine a diagnosis of urethral strictures. You may also need to undergo STD tests and a cystoscopy. An X-ray may also help locate the stricture. The treatment for this condition depends on the severity of the symptoms.

Non-surgical treatment for this condition involves using a dilator to widen the urethra. However, there is no guarantee the blockage will not recur at a later date. Alternatively, a permanent catheter may also be inserted.

There are two forms of surgical treatment for a urethral stricture.

  • Open urethroplasty: This involves removing the infected or scar tissue and restructuring the urethra. The results of this procedure depend on the size of the blockage. It is usually advised only in cases of long, severe strictures.
  • Urine flow diversion: In the case of a severe blockage and damage to the bladder, the doctor may advise rerouting the flow of urine to an abdominal opening. This process involves connecting the ureters to an incision in the abdomen with the help of part of the intestines. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Urologist.

Hello lybrate-user. See the steps for managing anger 1. Keep Your Cool and Maintain Composure "Breathing. Corresponds to taking charge of one's own life. ― Luce Irigaray, philosopher One of the most common characteristics about aggressive, intimidating, and controlling individuals is that they like to deliberately upset you in order to push your buttons, pull your strings, and keep you off balance. By doing so, they create an advantage over you, from which they can exploit your weakness. The first rule of thumb in the face of a difficult person is to keep your cool. The less reactive you are to provocations, the more you can use your better judgment to handle the challenge. When you feel upset with or challenged by someone, before you say or do something you might later regret, take a deep breath and count slowly to ten. In many instances, by the time you reach ten, you would have regained composure, and figured out a better response to the issue, so that you can reduce, instead of exacerbate the problem. If you're still upset after counting to ten, take a time out if possible, and revisit the issue after you calm down. If necessary, use phrases such as “I’ll get back to you…” or “Let me think about it…” to buy yourself time. By maintaining self-control, you leverage more power to manage the situation. 2. Keep Your Distance and Keep Your Options Open “You can’t fly like an eagle if you hang out with turkeys!” — Anonymous Not all aggressive, intimidating, or controlling individuals are worth tasseling with. Your time is valuable, and your happiness and well-being are important. Unless there’s something important at stake, don’t expend yourself by trying to grapple with a person who’s negatively entrenched. Whether you’re dealing with an angry driver, a pushy relative, or a domineering supervisor, keep a healthy distance, and avoid engagement unless you absolutely have to. There are times when you may feel like you’re “stuck” with a very difficult person, and there’s “no way out.” In these situations, keep your options open. Consult with trusted friends and advisors about different courses of action, with your personal well-being as the number one priority. We’re never stuck unless we have blinders on. Keep your options open. 3. Depersonalize and Shift from Reactive to Proactive “Don't take anything personally…What others say and do is a projection of their own reality…When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.” — Miguel Angel Ruiz Being mindful about the nature of aggressive, intimidating, and controlling people can help us de-personalize the situation, and turn from being reactive to proactive. One effective way to de-personalize is to put yourself in the other person’s shoes, even for just a moment. For example, consider the offender you’re dealing with, and complete the sentence: “It must not be easy…” “My friend is so aggressive. It must not be easy to come from an environment where everyone was forced to compete…” “My manager is really overbearing. It must not be easy to have such high expectations placed on her performance by senior executives…” “My partner is so controlling. It must not be easy to have grown up in a family where he was told how to think and act in every way…” To be sure, empathetic statements do not excuse unacceptable behavior. The point is to remind yourself that people do what they do because of their own issues. As long as we’re being reasonable and considerate, difficult behaviors from others say a lot more about them than they do about us. By reducing personalization, we can be less reactive and concentrate our energy on problem-solving. For more in-depth information on reducing or eliminating over fifteen types of negative attitudes and feelings, see my book (click on title): “How to Let Go of Negative Thoughts and Emotions (link is external).” 4. Know Your Fundamental Human Rights* A crucial idea to keep in mind when you’re dealing with a difficult person is to know your rights, and recognize when they’re being violated. As long as you do not harm others, you have the right to stand-up for yourself and defend your rights. On the other hand, if you bring harm to others, you may forfeit these rights. Following are some of our fundamental human rights: You have the right to be treated with respect. You have the right to express your feelings, opinions and wants. You have the right to set your own priorities. You have the right to say “no” without feeling guilty. You have the right to get what you pay for. You have the right to have opinions different than others. You have the right to take care of and protect yourself from being threatened physically, mentally or emotionally. You have the right to create your own happy and healthy life. These Fundamental Human Rights represent your boundaries. Of course, our society is full of people who do not respect these rights. Aggressive, intimidating, and controlling individuals, in particular, want to deprive you of your rights so they can control and take advantage of you. But you have the power and moral authority to declare that it is you, not the offender, who’s in charge of your life. Focus on these rights, and allow them to keep your cause just and strong. 5. Put the Spotlight on Them & Reclaim Your Power A common pattern with aggressive, intimidating, and controlling people is that they like to place attention on you to make you feel uncomfortable or inadequate. Typically, they’re quick to point out there’s something not right with you or the way you do things. The focus is consistently on “what’s wrong,” instead of “how to solve the problem.” This type of communication is often intended to dominate and manipulate, rather than to sincerely take care of issues. If you react by being on the defensive, you simply fall into the trap of being scrutinized, thereby giving the aggressor more power while she or he picks on you with impunity. A simple and powerful way to change this dynamic is to put the spotlight back on the difficult person, and the easiest way to do so is to ask questions. For example: Aggressor: “Your proposal is not even close to what I need from you.” Response: “Have you given clear thought to the implications of what you want to do?” Aggressor: “You’re so stupid.” Response: “If you treat me with disrespect I’m not going to talk with you anymore. Is this what you want?” Keep your questions constructive and probing. By putting the difficult person in the spotlight, you can help neutralize her or his undue influence over you. A second technique you can use to interrupt negative communication is to change the topic. Simply say “By the way…” and initiate a new subject. When you do so, you’re taking charge of the flow of communication, and setting a more constructive tone. 6. In Relatively Mild Situations, Display Superior Composure Through AppropriateHumor "Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you're up to. — Anonymous Humor is a powerful communication tool. Years ago I knew a co-worker who was quite stuck-up and intimidating. One day a colleague of mine said “Hello, how are you?” to him. When the egotistical co-worker ignored her greeting completely, my colleague didn’t feel offended. Instead, she smiled good-naturedly and quipped: “That good, huh?” This broke the ice and the two of them started a friendly conversation. Brilliant. When appropriately used, humor can shine light on the truth, disarm difficult behavior, and show that you have superior composure. In my book “How to Successfully Handle Aggressive, Intimidating, & Controlling People (link is external),” I explain the psychology of humor in conflict resolution, and offer a variety of ways one can use humor to reduce or eliminate difficult behavior. 7. In Serious Situations, Set Consequences to Compel Cooperation When an aggressive, intimidating, or controlling individual insists on violating your boundaries, and won’t take “no” for an answer, deploy consequence. The ability to identify and assert consequence (s) is one of the most important skills you can use to "stand down" a difficult person. Effectively articulated, consequence gives pause to the offending individual, and compels her or him to shift from violation to respect. In “How to Successfully Handle Aggressive, Intimidating, & Controlling People (link is external),” consequence is presented as seven different types of power you can utilize to affect positive change. In conclusion, to know how to handle aggressive, intimidating, and controlling people is to truly master the art of communication. As you utilize these skills, you may experience lessgrief, greater confidence, better relationships, and higher communication prowess. You are on your way to leadership. I WILL SUGGEST YOU TO GO AND CONSULT ANY PSYCHOLOGIST FOR THIS THEY WILL GUIDE YOU PROPERLY WITH THERAPY SESSION .AND BEFORE THIS STEP .TALK TO YOUR WIFE IN A GOOD MOOD THANK YOU ALL THE BEST.

I am 17 years old boy! My question is about my face 1) dark circles2) how my blackish skin look always gloo.
Hello Take healthy balanced diet including whole grains, green leafy vegetables, fruits and nuts. Drink 10 to 12 glasses of water daily. Take a sound sleep of 8 hours minimum. Apply bakson's under eye cream on the dark circles. Apply Ramdev's aloe vera gel on the whole face at night. Home remedy:-1.Cucumbers have skin-lightening and mild astringent properties that help fix those raccoon eyes naturally. Plus, they have a soothing and refreshing effect. Cut a fresh cucumber into thick slices and chill them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Put the slices onto the affected skin area for about 10 minutes. Wash the area with water. Repeat twice daily for about a week or more. Another option is to mix cucumber juice with lemon juice in equal amounts. Use a cotton ball to apply the mixture on the affected skin. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then wash it off with water. Follow this remedy daily for at least one week. 2.Raw Potato:-There are natural bleaching agents present in potato that can help lighten dark circles and get rid of puffiness around the eyes. Grate one or two raw potatoes to extract the juice. Soak a cotton ball in the juice and place it over your closed eyes. Make sure the juice covers the dark circles under your eyes as well as the eyelids. Allow the juice to sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse your eyelids well with cool water. Repeat once or twice daily for a few weeks. Instead of potato juice, you can also use thick potato slices to remove dark circles. 3.Tomato:-Tomatoes have bleaching properties that can lighten skin to a great extent.Mix one teaspoon of tomato juice with one-half teaspoon of lemon juice. Gently apply this mixture on the dark circles and allow it to sit for 10 minutes. Rinse it off with water. Follow this remedy twice a day for a few weeks. Simply using tomato juice will also work. You can also drink a glass of tomato juice with some mint leaves, lemon juice and salt. For maximum results, be sure to drink this juice immediately after making it. Drink it once or twice a day for about a week.
