At your age and profession most common cause of this type pain is cervical spondylosis. Please consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment and do it at earliest. The more delay more harm to your spine.

Exercises should only be done on the advice of your doctor and only if you feel very minimal or no pain while you do them at home. -Quads sets - straight Leg Raises -Heel raises -Hamstring curls Revert back for any doubt.

I am 20 years old. I am suffering from severe neck bone pain from 3 months. What can I do.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Why not discuss with me in a video conference. I am bed ridden with a fracture in left collar bone, right wrist and ligament injury (tear in 2 ligaments, rupture in 2) in my right leg. My next leg checkup is after 6 weeks and I'm advised to stay bed ridden until then. What type of tasks can I do in such a state that does not intervene with my healing and recovery? I wish to utilise my time without stressing myself out.

Actually as you are suffering from multiple site injury (under healing stage), doctor advised to stay in rest. You can read books and play mobile games and online activities (work from home). Please avoid movement by yourself. Sorry to say but it will take time to heal and recovery.

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Dear sir/madam I am a 40 year old male doctor who have had asymptomatic cervical spondylosis at multiple levels until june last year when after few heavy books fell on my head. Soon after bilateral pains radiated into both arms. The next 4-5 months were hell with pain, numbness, parasthesias and all that. I could not sleep at all. As it was improving on jan 26 2015 as I went to bed I started with head tremors all of a sudden. The tremors were like a storm with high frequency and large amplitude. They were mostly side to side with occassional neck flexions. There was however variation in amplitude. I took clonazepam 0. 5mg + propranolol 20 mg once the next morning, then again at 6 pm, followed by 2mg trihexiphenydyl at 10 pm and then at around 1 am during the second night I took diazepam iv. And then in the morning the tremors stopped completely after about 36 hours. Since then I am feeling occassional tremors that are barely noticeable. I am a known case of ocd and was on fluoexteine when the tremors first happened. I stopped fluoxetine that very day. I am currently on mirtazipine 15 mg. Mri brain is normal while cs shows disc bulges at c4 - c8 with foraminal compromise. Please let me know what I am going through.

Actually I would like to see: 1) a detailed neurological examination of both your upper and lower limbs including motor, sensory ex and evaluation of dtr of both upper and lower limbs 2) x ray cervical spine ( ap & lateral - flexion and extension) 3) mri cervical spine - images with reports I will also advise you to get in touch of a neurophysician and get yourself evaluated thoroughly. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Back pain that is associated with day time sedentary jobs like computer professional s are associated with paraspinal muscle spasms. The best way to tackle this sort of pain is to do well spaced stretching exercises of the back, back extension exercises, using hot water bags to provide relief and avoiding stooping posture while sitting. Posture also plays a very important part in back pain, always maintain a straight posture while sitting. While getting up from the bed try to first go on your left or right side of the body and get up side ways. Avoid cruntches or sit-ups: they may increase the pressure on your back and may predispose to slip disc. Always maintain a healthy lifestyle in terms of regular brisk walking, meditation, eating healthy. P. S: try to avoid pain killers (analgesics) as much as possible as many are associated with side effects that you may not be aware of. Stay healthy. Stay happy god bless you.
