Use colgate visible white for 1 month. If it doesn't work, you can go ahead with professional tooth bleaching with a dentist.

I am habitual of chewing pan masala which lead to discoloration of teeth. Can you tell me how can remove those red marks from my teeth?

Hi, stains caused due to pan chewing can go very deep inside the teeth. So a complete scaling procedure followed by bleaching will give you effective results.

Protect your gums from getting hurt in the process of brushing by keeping your toothbrush at a 45 degree angle.

Hello, I have dark spots on my teeth which looks ugly. How do I clean my teeth with home remedies. Please advice me.

Dentist, Delhi
Hello lybrate-user! If the dark spots that you have are stains and not caries on your teeth then Scaling and polishing done by your dentist will help you resolve the problem of staining/dark spots. Since you have asked about home remedies, why do not you try brushing your teeth with paste made up of baking soda and lemon, twice a week. For more detailed and step by step guidance you can contact me.

I have bad mouth smell from last 10 to 15 days with abdominal discomfort. What should I do?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Infections in the mouth, such as dental caries (tooth decay), periodontal (gum) disease or mouth sores related to other conditions may contribute to bad breath. Persistent bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth may be a warning sign of gum (periodontal) disease. Gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque on teeth. Dry mouth also can cause bad breath. Smoking or chewing tobacco-based products also can cause bad breath, You may need deep cleaning & fill tooth cavities with artificial enamel filling. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then.

I recommend you to stop brushing your tonque for 1-2 weeks and see what happen. And when you resume brushing, just use a smoother and a more soft textured toothbrush instead, if bleeding continue, see your doctor for further advise,

highly sensitive tooth is one of the first signs dental caries.sensitivity to cold foods is an indication that tooth is still alive. There is a possibility of saving the tooth with a filling if treated on time. However, this may warrant root canal treatment.

Pain killers like ibuprofen and aspirin can be taken to lighten the inflammation or pain caused by the root canal treatment.

My kid is 8 months old, he got mouth ulcer past 3 days. His tongue turned white colour and not able to suck milk also from feeding bottle. Please suggest medicines for it and dosage to use.

Whitish over the tongue could be due to fungal infection known as oral thrush. This could be due to bottle feeding also.As far as possible try to avoid bottle feeding.Apply candid mouth paint(drops) two times daily over the tongue for 4 to 5 days. In case of red coloured ulcers known as apthous ulcers apply Zytee gel.
