Did you have any injury? What kind of work do you do. There are many queries which need to be answered before telling a treatment. I would suggest you to visit some specialist and get thorough examination done. Then it would be easier to treat you. Neck sound is because of osteophytes most probably. Might not need any treatment if there is no pain or weakness of upper limbs. Regarding Osteoarthritis of knees, treatment depends upon clinical examination. It varies from different exercises, some medicines, or injections in knee to may be Partial joint replacement or Total knee replacement. Joint saving surgery to joint replacement surgery. (A) Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. (B) Use no pillow under the head. (C) Kindly take BioD3 Max 1 tab dailyx10 Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x5days (D) Do back(spine)/shoulder/knee exercises (E)Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take (F) Do not ignore it. Hello lybrate user, back pain that is associated with day time sedentary jobs like computer professional s are associated with paraspinal muscle spasms. The best way to tackle this sort of pain is to do well spaced stretching exercises of the back, back extension exercises, using hot water bags to provide relief and avoiding stooping posture while sitting. Posture also plays a very important part in back pain, always maintain a straight posture while sitting. While getting up from the bed try to first go on your left or right side of the body and get up side ways. Avoid cruntches or sit-ups: they may increase the pressure on your back and may predispose to slip disc. Always maintain a healthy lifestyle in terms of regular brisk walking, meditation, eating healthy. P. S: try to avoid pain killers (analgesics) as much as possible as many are associated with side effects that you may not be aware of. Stay healthy. Stay happy god bless you.

If it is due to overstretching of muscles rest for some days and take hot fomentation. This can be done by a electric heat pad or hot water bag. If it does not subside consult a orthopedic.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

From last few days I feel pain while I go to potty. I feel pain in my back and when I wash it after completing then I feel something swollen up near the hole from where the waste comes out. I feel pain in washing that area and when I sit then also I feel pain and while walking also. The swollen part fells me round in shape and it pains a lot while doing potty. Doctor, I have a sharp poking pain in my right knee. My xray report states reduction in joint space osteophytes seen. I also have continuous pain in the neck and my head too hurts sometimes. I have consulted and an orthopedic and he has stated that I should take vissco supplementation. Please help.

Dear patient as you've mentioned that you've got reduction in the joint space and also there are osteophytes seen, this states why you're suffering from pain and discomfort. First of all you have to convince yourself that the treatment is lengthy and mostly active. I would suggest you to do some active self stretching followed by active rom exercises for each joint individually. Though you haven't mentioned anything about the type of work that you do because lifestyle plays a major role in deciding the prognosis of the disease. For quick pain relief you can always trust hot fomentation at home or you can visit nearest physiotherapy clinic. Try sitting in leg suspended position more and more. Though this will induce swelling in the knee but it'll subside once you do limb elevation and ice massage. Wearing the knee caps will also be a great help. Hello, thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Knee pain in young age group is actually grouped loosely into chondromalacia if there is no injury or any other inflammatory/infective pathology for it. There are multiple causes for this type of pain, which could be muscular imbalance around knee region, malalignment of knee etc. Can you kindly tell me medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem. I would like to know whether you have got your inflammatory profile done till now and whether calcium and vitamin d testing/supplementation has been done. Back pain may be due to strain, sprain, weather change etc. *Avoid bending forward while working on lap top or for any other work. *Don’t sit continuously working on laptop etc. Get up periodically and move around. *Restrict bike driving as far as possible. *Don’t carry laptop or any load on your shoulder. Carrying very light loads equally with both hands is better *Sit straight so that back bone gets proper support. A dining chair is better than a laid back sofa. *You can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good *Soft bed will not give proper support to your back bone. Hard bed with thin mattress and thin pillow is better. *Get yourself tested whether you have spondylitis problem. Homoeopathy has a good treatment for this without adverse effects. Take Calc fluor 200--once daily in the morning.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold). Back pain 1. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana? lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hi, I keep getting a random sensation, its like a Muscle twitch that runs across my temples. I have some tmj too on left side. Is it dangerous? First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket . And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back . you may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * Gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * Surya Namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * In diet vegetable protein of cereal , B complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.
