I suggest you easy method of weight gain just follow it for year you will gain weigh defiantly 1. Start exercise regularly for 3 month and then after 3 month leave it for 3 month at the time of exercise your diet will increase but same diet continue after 3 month when you stop exercise so thats why your weight will increase automatically now we discus about diet 2. Gentle massage over knees with lukewarm herbal pain relieving oils daily for about 15-20 minutes and hot fomentation afterwards will greatly help in subsiding the pain. These procedures would give strength to your knee and reduce the pain and stiffness. Regular oiling the joint will improve the lubrication also. This will greatly help. Although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking.

I have a knee joint pain. I will go gym every 5 days in a week. Is this because of over weight lifting?
Get X-ray or MRI done to rule out any structural joint abnormalities. Meanwhile, gentle massage over knees with lukewarm herbal pain relieving oils daily for about 15-20 minutes and hot fomentation afterwards will greatly help in subsiding the pain. Ayurveda’s Panchakarma offers specialized treatment of JANU BASTI for knee pains - these procedures would give strength to your knee and reduce the pain and stiffness. Dear, you will definitely get more stamina by following these very useful tips. * you should take proper balanced diet first. That means you have to take vegetables, milk, chapattis or rice, butter / cream, cereals (daals) or cheese every day. * very important thing, do not miss or skip your meals at any cost and take meals on time * drink atleast 2 litres of water daily. * proper 6-8 hours sleep is very important. If your sleep is less than 6 hours, then you feel tired very early. So complete your sleep. * do breathing execises daily in morning & evening. Just sit down in peaceful place, close your eyes, take deep and long breaths in and out. Do it atleast for 10-15 minutes daily. *take a walk, in first walk normally for 10-15 minutes for 15 days. Then slowly walk fast and slowly start running. You can do it on treadmill also. * you can do surya namaskar yogasan daily to improve your stamina under the guidance of yoga expert.

We have been reading and listening the harmful effects of drinking water in plastic bottles, having tea in plastic cups and heating the food in plastic containers in microwave oven. Can somebody please tell which utensils we should use for microwaves, we usually have only plastic lunchboxes for office lunch and plastic containers at home. Also please suggest which bottles we should use for consumption of water which can be stored in fridges as well.

Hi" Old is really a Gold" – remember this phase? In fact, it is very true. While selecting the material of the plate or glass or bowl, the healthiest cookware choices are those that use classic materials such as stainless steel and cast iron which wouldn't harm your body! What you want to look for when evaluating the healthfulness of cookware is whether the material that it is made from carries much toxic risk and how likely the cookware materials are to leach into the food during cooking. Using these two criteria, stainless steel and cast iron are the best choices. Avoid using aluminum, copper, and non-stick cookware. Avoid hard plastic melamine dishes.  They are made by combining the chemical melamine with formaldehyde (which is considered a known human carcinogen). Earthenware, porcelain, and pottery (ceramic) utensils can be used for both cooking and serving food. They are durable, and are excellent for slow, even cooking in even heat, such as slow baking. However, they are comparatively unsuitable for cooking using a direct heat, such as a cooking over a flame. When it comes to dishware, glass is a great choice, followed by ceramic dishware with lead-free glaze.  If you are concerned about breakage - food grade silicone (Kinderville brand), high quality 304-grade stainless steel and bamboo or wood  containing food-safe finishes are all safe options. The safest materials for cookware and bakeware include: glass, high quality 304 grade stainless steel, cast iron and Xtrema ceramic cookware. Avoid Teflon and any other chemical non-stick coatings. When using stainless steel cookware, know that deeply scratched and pitted pans can cause metals (nickel and chromium) to migrate into food in trace amounts. These are not toxic elements, so there is not really cause for concern unless you have a specific allergy or sensitivity.  But to play it safe, avoid frequent use of abrasive materials with stainless steel cookware. If you must use plastic in the kitchen: Choose BPA-Free, PVC-free plastic. Do not heat in the microwave (“microwave-safe” only means that the plastic won’t actually melt – the extreme heat of the oven will increase transference of chemicals). Do not store fatty, greasy or acidic foods in plastic. Do not use scratched, badly worn or cloudy plastics for your food and beverages. Hand-wash plastics to avoid wear and tear. When it comes to food storage, safer materials include: glass, 304 grade stainless steel, food-grade silicone – all of which do not leach chemicals into your food. (Last, but not least the most important and concern fact is the Kitchen sponges which are used to clean the utensils can grow harmful bacteria, yeasts, and molds. The best ways to kill germs on a kitchen sponge are: Microwave the sponge on high for one minute, which kills up to 99% of germs or keep it in the sunlight after every use. Another option is to buy a new sponge each week.)

Do not eat before going to gym. After gym you can take breakfast like boiled eggs, Milk with cornflakes etc. in your daily diet add protein like sprouts, cheese , nuts etc.

You may take Alfafa tonic thrice a day for one month. Also you should take banana shake grape juice date milk fir one month. Soaked black raisons, figs potato and butter sugar paste daily should be in your duet for one month.

How n wat you eat? take small meals for better digestion include bannanas, egg, curds, tofu, milk, paneer n nuts in your daily diet take a well balanced diet including veggies n fruits. Go for exercise on daily basis as it will nt only elevate your mood but also improve your digestion n appetite.

I presume you are a male. If so, two drinks are good and okay. The other factors to take into consideration are that two glasses are too much but if you mean two pegs, that is fine. Your body size is also important: if you are big, two pegs are fine if not you will need to lessen the dosage. You must also be of good health, and not have any ailments that can be affected by alcohol. If you drink to alleviate stress, then you could become dependent on alcohol and that is not good for you. Over time you can develop tolerance for the substance and will want more to have the same effect as when you started, then you could become addicted. Generally, I would consider that if your drinking is causing you or your family or your job any difficulty, then you are addicted to alcohol and it does not agree with you and you must discontinue drinking. Don?t wait for a problem to decide to quit. If you see any signs of obsession and compulsion, you could be heading down the wrong path too.

This is underweight. Eat balanced diet. Eat large amount of foods more frequently. Use weight gain nutritional supplement. Use whole cream milk or milk shake. Take 3-4pcs banana/day. Take other dense fruits. Eat sweet potato, white potato, corn and other dense vegetables. Avoid fast foods, junk foods. Eat protein foods like fish like tuna and other fish, egg, lean meat, peanut butter, peas, hemp seeds, almond, tofu, mushroom, soy milk, soy product, soybean. Use more good fats in cooking. Drink lots of water and regular free hand exercise to stay healthy.

How to Deal with Back Pain

No matter what the cause of a backache, a combination of core strengthening exercises, activity, and physical therapy can help lessen the pain.

A backache can be caused by something as simple as bending the wrong way. Hence, the first step towards dealing with a backache is to pay attention to daily movements. If you have to lift something heavy off the floor, bend your knees and let the weight of your load fall on your legs instead of it falling on your back. Here is more on how you can fight back pain with a bit of effort:

1. Light exercises
Simple, light exercises are the most effective ways of dealing with back pain. The key to exercising your back is moderation and knowing your limits.

2. Brisk walk and yoga
Regular brisk walks and yoga exercises that strengthen and stretch back muscles are effective ways to reduce and prevent back pain.

3. Right posture
Exercise can also help reduce excess weight that in turn helps reduce backaches. Slouching not only causes a hunch back but also aggravates back aches. Hence, maintain a right posture to take the pressure off nerves and lower back pain.

4. Proper posture while sleeping
A good night's sleep can also help soothe inflamed back joints and repair strained muscles. Pay attention to your mattress and ensure that your back is flat when you lie on it. Sleeping on your side can also help deal with the back pain. Consider resting your neck on a pillow, to keep your spine aligned while you sleep.

5. Hot & cold therapy
Experiment with hot and cold therapy before picking one of them to deal with your back pain. While applying ice packs on your back can help reduce inflammations, hot packs work better to reduce cramps and muscle spasms. Whether you use a hot pack or a cold pack, do not leave it on for more than 20 minutes.

6. Natural supplements
Natural supplements such as flaxseed oil, calcium, magnesium and vitamin c are helpful when dealing with back pains.

For short-term relief, you could also try over the counter pain relievers. However, do not let this become a long-term habit, as your body could get dependent on it. 1.Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. 2.For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it.
