Using an appropriate tooth paste is very necessary for the health of our teeth. Tooth pastes which contain flouride help in keeping the teeth healthy by reducing the risk of tooth decay.

U r suffering from a disease called oral sub mucous fibrosis. Its a pre cancerous condition. If u don' t stop the habit completely then there are very high chances that it might convert into oral cancer.

Hi sir, i am fond of eating pan daily at night, I wanted to get rid of this habbit, can you please suggest tooth whitener thanx.

BDS
Dentist, Delhi
You need to discontinue your habit. Teeth whitening will not work if you keep on with your habit. The whitened teeth will discolor eventually. You need to get your teeth cleaned (scaling) and polished. After that if you still feel of getting your teeth more white you can go with bleaching (teeth whitening. Whitener toothpastes donot work and grind your tooth surfaces those are all a marketing gimmick. Only a dentist can get your teeth white properly.

Get a checkup by the dentist for your tooth which has broken up as it can be retained after filling or cap.

Hi lybrate-user. Pain in teeth with pus is a serious problem. Your tooth has grossly decayed and the infection has travelled to the gums and roots. You need a xray for the tooth to know how far the infection has travelled. Treatment will depend on xray results. The tooth will go for root canal treatment or if totally destroyed then extraction. But for time being, to control the infection, you need an antibiotic coverage. Thank you.

I had injure on inner side of my lip from past 4 days what should I do to reduce it.

DNB, MDS Endodontist, BDS

If it is an injury due to a fall, lip biting, or a sharp object, apply an anesthetic/antiseptic oral gel over the injury, avoid very spicy and hot food. It will slowly heal.
